If you want a sweet, hot, super machine, this is the one. I've been riding motorcycles since I was barely in double digits for age! My first "legal" motorcycle was a Yamaha 650. What a jump from that so many years to this!! Every motorcycle-loving American dreams of owning the muscle of a Harley-Davidson. No matter if you buy a Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki, you buy it knowing you really wanted a Harley but couldn't afford it.
So...what Harley is right for you? Well, you have to ask yourself...what kind of person are you. Are you a long distance "cruiser"? Short distance "racer"? Medium-range Sunday driver? If you want to ride your Harley long distances, as often as possible, and may carry items, you need an Electra-Glide style bike. If you're into performance and sport, your bike is the V-Rod. If you're somewhere in the middle, you need a Dyna Wide Glide or Softail. I've spent years studying each model and it's perks. I settled on the Deuce. It's styling is strong and mean, but sleek and smooth. The front tire is laced stock and solid rear tire is brushed aluminum. The Dyna's shocks are moved from the traditinoal sides to under the bike in front of the swingarm inside the frame. Keeps the looks sleek.
I spent months searching for the "right" Deuce. I wanted something with plenty of chrome and nice tank design, but settled for black pearl. The previous owner was nice enough to upgrade the pedals and controls to Willie G. Skull which helped make the look. He also added Screamin' Eagle II exhaust slip-ons and a DynaJet Commander III programmer. With stock exhaust, the bike would sound quiet, but with the slip-ons, the sound is as mean as the look. The Deuce also has great stock bars that have a nice forward feel while keeping the body positioned for maximum comfort.
Overall, this bike runs as great as it looks and sounds. I would highly recommend test riding a Deuce among your short-trip cruisers. Best wishes and safe riding!!
