What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

It dosent matter if you are a Ford, Chevy, or Mopar. Everyone loves a classic Mustang. There is nothing like it out there. It is uniqe. Know world wide, and will always be a symbol of American steel.

I brought this classic three weeks ago and have since driven it about 500 miles. It has performed flawleely. It is extremely good on gas, about 20 miles per gallon. The car has recieved more then it's share of lustful glances.

I love a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang. It was the first car I ever owned. When I retired I decided I'd start looking for another one. I found this one listed on ebay motors and thought I had found my dream. It even had a 260 V8 like my first car. The only difference I could see was the black interior when mine was white Unfortunately, I was sold a 1965 Mustang. I am most discouraged by the fact that the VIN number was listed on ebay incorrectly and I wasn't able to check it out until after the fact. A friend and I drove all night to pick it up. When I got there I was tired, excited and nervous. After a quick test drive I decided to take it thinking it was a 64 1/2. It needed more work than I thought it would need, but the item description said the engine and transmission had been redone. I put too much faith in their desrciption and my trust in others.

This was listed as a drivable car, but I haven't been able to drive it more than 2 blocks since I got it home. I knew it was a project car, but oh my! The transmission leaks at all seal points and the engine is rough. Had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't even had bid on the car. My bid to get the transmission fixed is over $1000.

Another major disappointment is the paint job. It was listed as new, which it may have been, but there was little or no prep work done underneath. The body is rough in several places where it wasn't prepared properly. The pictures looked nice, but it doesn't look the same way in real life.

I feel like I have been defrauded out of the money I paid for the car since it isn't even the year I asked for. I is my hope that ebay's buyer protection plan will come through, but I'm beginning to wonder about that. I am currently involved in the dispute console that ebay offers, but that isn't looking so good at this point. All I want to do is give the 1965 Ford Mustang back, get my money back, so I can get a true 1964 1/2 Mustang.

It is to bad. I had high hopes.

I like ebay and have had good luck on my purchases with the exception of this car. I'm even starting to sell little items. I think in the future I will stay away from cars unless I have more time to check out the small print.

Good luck to anyone who is thinking of buying a car on ebay.

I bought the car, was delivered on time and without any problem.

The seller is very careful with every statement about the sale and the pictures of the car sold from him are 100% accurate.

Thank you for the sale!

I bought a 65 Mustang off of Ebay from a dealer who stated that all of the gauges worked and that the car was in great shape. Well when I received the car, two of the gauges didn't work and there was a leak in the gas tank which made the car smell horrible and was a safety hazard. The car's carburetor power valve was blown and needed a complete rebuild, the car had a major exhaust leak which filled the interior with exhaust fumes, the list goes on and on. I don't think I will ever buy a vehicle off of ebay again.

1965 Ford Mustang: 65-66 Mustangs

Beautiful car style-very easy to drive (with power steering) and to work on. Parts are easy to find & they are reasonably priced compared to many other models. Coupes are the least expensive, followed by 2+@ fastbacks, with convertibles being the most expensive but fastbacks are many people's favorites (including me).
Most 65-66 Mustangs are over priced just because they are 65-66 Mustangs. Anytime you see a Mustang offered as a 1964 1/2 ask for the Vehicle Identification Number and you will see that the first character is a "5' meaning that it is a 1965 model. There never was a 1964 1/2 model made merely 65 models built early in 1964 but millions of cars are built in the year prior to their actual model year.
Anytime you read that one is "rust free' ask them if they are sure-if they say that they are ask them if you can have the car for free if you find any rust on it & if they agree you'll have yourself a free Mustang.
One thing to remember is that the word "restore' means to put something back the way that it was originally (color, equipment, condition, etc.) so very few 65-66 Mustangs have truly been restored & that for every dollar you spend modifying/altering a Mustang from its original look, etc. reduces it's value to many buyers by many more dollars.
Be smart, check the car out carefully. Spend $200 for an appraiser to look at the car for you before overspending by $1,000-$3000 too much for an overpriced Mustang and enjoy the car that millions of people have enjoyed and continue to enjoy.
