What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

First let me say that riding for me is all about the ride as well as a life style , This bike says it all with it's bad boy looks and with the horses to back it up. From it's low slung looks and the deep low hum of the big v-twin purring. This bike screams performance, It handles great and dares anyone to find better for the buck! If you don't want to be the center of attn. This bike may not be for you.. Note the stock exhaust is great but it you want it to come to life spend the extra bucks for a aftermaket exhaust worth every penny! Take it from someone who has been on everything from an Indian to a Harley you wont be disapointed with this one..

The beauty of any motorcycle is in the eye of the beholder. Personaly, I thought this bike was one of the best looking at a reasonable price. (around 13k new). After adding numerous chrome trim pieces it looked even better. The engines performance is exceptional. I ride it only ocassionally for pleasure mostly in flat rural areas. On the down side, this bike is very heavy and does not like tight turns or corners, especially when equiped with the big bar engine guards which tend to readily drag on the pavement in tight turns. The stock drivers seat is uncomfortable after the first hour or so. All things considered the `05`Road Star is a lot of motorcycle for the money.

The power is great and it is very comfortable. The bike is well built with no rattles. I like to think of it as top of the line or heavy duty luxury model.

My 01 Road Star is a beautiful champain color. It has had some custom work on it but not a lot. The previous owner put a K&N breather on it and had the carbs rejetted to go with the breather. It has a nice set of pipes that breath really well also. The Fat Tee handle bars are a nice addition too. This bike impressed me from the git-go. My Roadie has a good amout of torque on up into fifth gear. There is a nice rumble to it and my wife (most importantly) love the passenger seat which is a mustang seat also added by the previous owner. I have had no complaints about this bike and would highly recommend it to new and old bikers. I bought this bike as a cheaper substitute for a Fatboy but now I realize it is a less expensive equal. I have a Harley also, a 1200low Sportster that recieves no attention now.

Amazing bike. Rides smooth, lots of power, and never have to worry about the bike being to small. The only down side is that the speed limits aren't a little higher because it would be nice to be able to open up the bike a little longer. I guess I'll have to pay attention to who's around me when I want to do that though.

Best Bike I have ridden. I do about 10000 miles on our relativly short riding season and this is the bike for me. Had a few Hondas (A shadow and a wing) a Harley and a Kawasiki and nothing comes close to my Roadie. The wing was better on the highway and the Shadow was great around town, but the Road Star is the best all around bike. Handles great at slow speeds and with the addition of an Ultimate Seat it is great on the long hauls. The enigine has good power from a little off idle all the way to the red line, but a few more HP would be a nice improvment. Up till now I haven'r ridden anything that is a better all around bike. If you want a great looking cruiser that is reliable and priced reasonably look no farther than a Road Star. Weather you buy new or second hand (If you can find one) you can't go wrong.

well, i was nervous about buying a used bike over 3,000 miles away from home over ebay for $5,700 I was nervous about sending the 500 dollar deposit and even more nervous when i decided to pay the remaining $5,200 through a cashiers check in the mail before i even saw the bike in person, however i had talked to him on the phone and thruogh Email. He could have easily taken the entire $5700 dollars and screwd me over, but this was not the case. The motorcycle was exactly what he said it would be. The I rode the bike Just over 7,000 miles with out too many problems. I did wear out the back tire but that was close to 5,000 miles into the trip and i had the bike loaded down with quite a bit of weight, so i can't blame him for that. Any way, just want to say to the seller thanks for the easy and smooth transaction i enjoyed doing business with you and i recomend to any other buyers that they can trust this guy.

I love the bike I just purchased because it's got everything I would have wanted to do myself. I was hesitant to buy online sight unseen because It's risky to put that much into a motorcycle unseen and unridden. However, the seller was a very upstanding individual with integrity and honesty. I'm very pleased to have purchased this bike, it's everything I wanted and more.

A great bike that I would recommend for a veteran rider, or someone new to riding motorcycles. My Road Star handles great and has given me no problems for the year that I have owned it. I bought it because it looks like a Harley and cost half the price. The only thing that I can say bad about the Road Star is that the accessories that Yamaha sells for the bike cost an arm and a leg.

2002 Yamaha Road Star: Awesome Power! Great riding bike

When I bought this bike I had intended to buy a V-max. After riding both a few times I know I had to have the new Warrior. I had never been on a bike with such power! Later I found out it had an all aluminum frame which removes several pounds of steel making it quicker. Most harleys I've looked at weight around 150lbs more, making them much more sluggish on takeoff compared to this bike. It corners like no other bike I've riden.

My friends on their Harley's have to slow down to a crawl on mountain curves. This bike will handle the most extreme turn without bottoming out thus making it a ball of fun! The pegs will drag to warn you you're aproaching a wipeout but I've never done it.

Not one problem with my 2002 which I thought was awesome since it was the first year of production for the bike. It isn't bad on gas either. I've had it five years not and still think it's awesome.

The only gripe is with the factory seat, which I replaced with a $500 corbin. Now I can sit in the saddle for an hour with no problems.
