What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

Classic Japanese Superbike of the late 1970's & early 80's. Hard to beat. Weighs around 575 pounds, 110hp decent brakes & suspension. For the money, you cant get more motorcycle bang for the buck.

2005 Honda CB: The day that ebay motors died

Today, Tuesday March 6th 2007 I opened my browser to do my daily search for classic Honda's and parts. What I found was that I was not looking at ebay, at least not the ebay that I knew. In ebay's endless wisdom, the decision had been made to redisign their "Motors" site. I couldn't find what I was looking for, at least not without quite a bit more work. The new graphics and buttons were non-sensical, with pop-ups that had links for the makes, and then another for each model, but it didn't just have Honda models. It included some models from all other makes of bikes like FZR, KLX, DZ-R, GSX-R, and on and on. I chose my usual (CB) and noticed that the quauntity was significantly higher than the previous day. Parhaps that was because the CB sub-category now contained a couple of Magna's, a Shadow, some CBR's, a Nighthawk or 2, and a Valkyrie.
At first I felt a little alarmed. I was unable to find some of the bikes I had seen before. Then I attempted to take a stroll over to "Parts & Accessories" to look at the "Parts-bikes" category. The Parts-bikes category....... Where in Hell is the Parts-bikes category? It's GONE!!! There had been nearly 600 listings in that category, granted, many idiot sellers are dyslexic and think that it's called the "Bike Parts category, but it was always a great resource for complete, or nearly complete "Parts Bikes", but now it's GONE. What happens with all of those listings? What do the sellers of "Parts-bikes" think about their listings being swallowed up by other sub-categories, thus losing their target audience. I was getting angry. I thought to myself, what limp-wanged idiot designed this new layout. Searches require a completely different group of clicks and commands now. I can see that it isn't just a matter of adjusting to a new method because the method is non-sensical, time consuming, inefficient, and exclusionary.
I was waiting for this month to start my own listings. Several of my listings would have been placed in the "Parts-bike" category. Now that it's gone, I cannot do that. I will have to find another avenue to sell.
If ebay put even half of the man-hours into finding and ending the auctions posted by compromised accounts, for non-existant bikes (some of which use porn gallery pictures)that they spend on screwing up their site in a counter-productive attempt to increase sales or make the site easier, then legitimate listings would rise, sales would rise, and confidence would rise, and God knows, their stock prices would probably follow suit.

1973 Honda CB: Used Motorcycle Not as Advertised

The motorcycle had loads of work done on it including a complete new paint job and many like new parts. Also new Mikuni carbs. But it did not start easily as advertised and the starter does not turn over. It has been a major headache and I still have not got it started. Also there were paint dings and a major scratch that was not mentioned. Also the paint on a large area on the frame below one of the carbs was eaten away by gas leaking from the old carbs but the seller did not mention it. It would be a good idea to get a list of dings and scratches before the mover picks it up.

Buying a vehicle out of state can also cause problems. Wisconsin, prior to 1980 use the engine number to title vehicles and if the engine was changed out the owner did not have to notify the state of the new engine number!! So the new owner ends up with a motorcycle with numbers that do not match the title! So it is better if the original owner fixes the title or you can get a letter from Wisconsin saying how they did things but your state still may not accept it.

Overall I would not recommend buying a used or new cycle on EBAy at a 'fair value' price without seeing it in person.

bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

An excellent motorcycle, good example of 1980's sport bike. Quick enough, reliable, and handsome. Motors typically last well, and it's a good commuter bike in this age of $4/gallon gas.

Decent support groups on the net for these older bikes, and ones in excellent condition typically fetch 40% more than when they were new.

1980 Honda CB: HONDA CB 650 CLASSIC UJM!!!

This is a classic UJM! Very reliable and extremely low cost to repair as replacement parts are so inexpensive.

Classic UJM's

* Honda: CB750, CB350, CB400, CB550, CB650, CB900, CB1000, Nighthawk 650, Nighthawk 750
* Kawasaki: KZ900, KZ1000, KZ750, KZ650, KZ500/KZ550, Zephyr 550, Zephyr 750, Zephyr 1100
* Suzuki: The 1976-1983 GS series: GS750, GS650, GS550, GS850, GS1000, GS1100
* Yamaha: XS1100, XJ1100, XJ650, XJ750, XJ900

The term UJM stands for Universal Japanese Motorcycle and is a loose term coined in the winter of 1976 when Cycle magazine used the acronym to describe a then new phenomenon:

"In the hard world of commerce, achievers get imitated and the imitators get imitated. There is developing, after all, a kind of Universal Japanese Motorcycle.... conceived in sameness, executed with precision, and produced by the thousands." [1]

The term is neutral (neither complementary nor pejorative) and highlights a bike's strong similarity to other bikes -- rather than exclusivity, brand pretence or distinctive character.

Furthermore, UJM most often refers to the specific wave of cycles which originated beginning in the late 1960's when the Big Four Japanese manufacturers began replicating each other's designs and introducing them to the market in quick succession -- the bikes clustering around this feature set:

* Standard Seating Position
* Air-cooled, transverse-mounted inline 4 cylinder or twin cylinder engine.
* Individual carburetors for each cylinder.
* Telescoping front fork.
* Dual-cradle steel ("featherbed-style") frame.
* Integrated engine and gearbox.
* Front disk brake.

A prominent example of the classic UJM is the 1969 Honda CB750, which became an obvious template for subsequent designs from the other three of the "Big Four" Japanese motorcycle manufacturers - Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha -- though, unlike most UJM's, the Honda CB750 achieved prominence in motorcycle history by introducing a compelling feature set at an unpThe term UJMrecedented price and unprecedented quality.

This was a good deal for the bike. The petcock seemed to work fine but the gas tank had a small leak in it. We were able to patch with JB Weld. Cheaper fix than a new petcock. Enjoyed the drive up from Cincinnati. Friendly people to deal with. Thanks again.

The motorcycle is 28 years old. The condition was pretty good. I will need to spend some time working on this bike to get it in running condition, but I expected this. Overall I was very satisfied with this purchase. The seller was very straightforeward in his description of the vehicle. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
