The Road Glide handles better than would be expected of a large bagger in tight and/or slower speed circumstances.
The fixed fairing really helps the bike hold it's own in head winds or traffic buffetting. The cruise control and air suspension contribute to a a fabulously comfortable long distance touring manner in either solo or two-up configuration. While mo'power is always welcome, the injected TC88 is responsive and capable of doing what needs done to motivate this substantial machine.
The stock layout of saddle, tank & bars give just a bit of added room (compared to Electra/Ultra) that feeels just right for my 6'2" frame.
This is an extremely comfortable long-range tourer, that performs just as well in the mountains & canyons as out on the wide open road.

The Ultra for 06 is the last 5 speed 88 twin cam ultra. There was a lot of excitement over the 07 models with the 6 speed 96 inch twincam however they are slower and noiser than the 06. They have the same engine as the 88inch but it is stroked a little for the 96 inches.
The engine and drive train easily handled my 6'6" 280 carcas along with my lovely wifes vivacious body. The rpm range is much wider than that of my old 80" Evo, so there is less down shifting. It is well balanced and very stable. It's not like my 100 inch chopper but thats why I have 2 bikes.That bike isnt comfortable like the glide either. I use the glide on all my long trips and week long treks to places far and wide.

appears to be a rip off scheme, unable to contact seller. I was contacted immediately by other ebayers telling me not to send this person any money. He had listed the motorcycle many other times and at least once receive the 500.00 deposit from a buyer. Ebay was of no help in this matter. Buyer beware

Excellent bike and was just as described by seller. The only problem incountered with the bike is the headlight swith sometimes has to be toggled in order to get the headlight working. Other than that this bike is like new, no blemishes to the paint and no working problems. The bike has been well kept and maintained. It runs and sounds great and is a pleasure to ride.

After purchasing the motorcycle, I rode it for the first time and its ride condition is very excellent because it has only 1,700 miles on it like a new. What is more, its custom paint looks marvelous and many accessories that has been installed. I will keep it as long as I can.

I purchased a 2006 Harley-Davidson Street Glide in mid-August and then a couple of weeks ago I purchased a Harley-Davidson sissybar, backrest pad and luggage rack to accessorize the bike. Everything was as advertised. I love the bike. The accessories are installed and very functional. The products were in great shape as advertised and I paid less than buying brand new. All will serve us well on our trip to Sturgis in August of '09. Thanks eBay!

I bought a 2006 Electra Glide Classic a couple of years back because it was supposed to be "the" motorcycle to have. This summer I rode it to Alaska and it was 100% reliable. I decided to try something else when I got back and took an opportunity to buy a new Victory Vision Tour Premium at a good price. I rode the Vision a total of 1160 miles in two days bringing it home. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't test ride the Vision before I took the Harley to Alaska. I had no idea that a motorcycle could handle as well or be as comfortable as the Vision. I think I would have been miserable for those 6,300 miles on the Harley if I had known how much better it could be. If what you care most about is making noise and riding something that everyone else is riding, get the Harley. If you want a really comfortable touring bike that handles like a dream, get the Vision. Yes, I do realize that this will not be popular with Harley riders that haven't tried the Vision.

Bought this bike for touring. Have already taken one weekend trip to the mountians and two Sunday rides. Great bike at a great price, just what we were looking for. Plan to have many years of riding on it. I would recommend a Harley Davidson Ultra Glide Classic for anyone looking for a comfortable touring bike.

My husband and I love to ride and wanted a comfortable, stylish ride. We were really amazed to have won this bike on ebay for such a fantastic price. We drove to Connecticut to pick it up and the sellers are just exceptional. We all had dinner together before taking the bike home. Since we purchased this bike we've been on weekly runs. It's great fun and fits right in at the motorcyle events. It will be a long winter without the opportunity to escape for a few hours or days, but we'll anxiously await spring. Next week we'll take a short trip through the fall foliage. There is always much more to see on a bike. We do need to change the back of the passenger seatrest for one a little higher. But that complaint is personal.
