What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I purchased a Brand New Honda CB-650-C in 1981, and it proved to be reliable, and worthy of riding around. I had this bike stolen the very same year and was without a vehicle for some time until I came across in 1992 of a 1982 CB-900-C from a good friend of mine and immediately recognized the features of the Custom like: 4-4 exhaust two tone paint, dual transmission Air assisted shocks Front and Rear The last two was a first for me. My friend decided to sell it to me and, I have had that same motorcycle up until now, since my experience with customs has been with these last two vehicles, I consider them as very quick and designed with a low center of gravity, as well as a dual range tranny which has given me an extra hole where to sink my 6th gear.(or fifth gear)? in any case They are designed as strong and durable (mine just turned 25 years old). And not to be bragging but has more common sense than my son which has the same age. Honda has missed up to this time the opportunity of bringing to the public something like the above mentioned and has "HARLEYSIZED" their bike lineup. I still have the cycle world magazine with the road test of this CB-900, and believe that if given the proper and newer technologies will be very quickly a #1 seller. Try for instance Fuel injection, Aluminum rear swing arm, and of course Shaft drive for the open road. I also know that there are several versions not for sale here in the U.S.Like the
X-4 and CB-1300. Surely a 4 into four exhaust system would be something. I am inclined to think that if presented "Bare Bones" and at a reasonable price, this can very well turn into the cruiser of the future
And very possible will remain like that for many years to come. When something is made to stand out it is to be different, and this is exactly what I see in this motorcycle
and so far I have not been dissapointed.

This was a good deal for the bike. The petcock seemed to work fine but the gas tank had a small leak in it. We were able to patch with JB Weld. Cheaper fix than a new petcock. Enjoyed the drive up from Cincinnati. Friendly people to deal with. Thanks again.

1982 Honda CB: You meet the nicest people on ebay!

These were the nicest people I've met. (Next to the people who bought my VTX). I bought the bike for the motor so the overall condition rough but was exactly how it was described in the posting. The owners made sure I heard it run, helped me load the bike and escorted me through their town so I wouldn't get lost goin to the main highway.

If you (previous owners) are reading this: Thanks again for all your help. The project is going along great, for an update see; "Mission Program" at www.nhxinc.com.

I purchased a CB900F Supersport in November 2001, it had 18K miles on it, and had been in storage for 8 years. After having the the fluids changed, a new battery installed and some minor top end work done on the engine, it ran like new. I have had the bike now for 6 years and have had no major work done on the bike, and it still as dependable and fun to ride as ever. I still get compliments on the bike from "old school guys", and "what kind of bike is that", from the the young guys.
