What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

This is my second Gold Wing and it is an excellent vehicle.
I am especially happy with the great reliability I have come to expect from the Gold Wing.

This is the most comfortable bike around. The passenger seat is the most comfortable. You can fall asleep riding in the back. It's the Cadillac of touring bikes.

I don't know why ebay makes it impossible to talk to them about not winning something they say you did. The people canceled the ad and EBAY reported to me that I had one it. Maybe someone here will pay attention

Extremely fast shipping. I completed the deal on Friday, and I received my motorcylce on Monday. However, both lower cowl covers were damaged. When I notified the seller they sent me the new covers at no cost. I am very satisfied with the purchase, and will recommend Monroe Motorsports to others.

2006 Honda Gold Wing: 2006 Honda Gold Wing from Dixie Cycles.

This is my first Gold Wing but not my first Honda. I currently have two other Honda - a 2006 VTX-1300R and a 1984 Magna V-65. I am very familiar with the Gold Wing from friends that own them. On Saturday mornings I ride with my Honda group and there are many Gold Wings in that group so I have had the opportunity to discuss them with fellow riders. I feel like I knew most of the pros/cons of a Wing before purchasing this one.

I bought this bike used from Dixie Cycles in Pompano Beach, Florida. I live in Southeast Virginia, so this was a sight unseen purchase. I was certainly nervous about the transaction by the owner of Dixie Cycles was very accommodating and responsive with all my questions. I flew into Fort Lauderdale on a Friday and got the Dixie Cycles in the early afternoon. The paperwork was very smooth and I was off riding north to Savannah, GA where I would spend the night before continuing on home on Saturday.

The ride home was uneventful and chilly with the temps dropping into the low 40s at night. The bike, however, rode like a dream. Cruise control on a bike is awesome. Two months ago I completed a Saddlesore 1000 on my VTX which was a smooth ride but my hands hurt (buzzed) for two days afterwards because I don't have a throttle lock. Not the case with the Wing. I can say that after almost a 1,000 mile ride home over two days nothing hurt except for being cold. My butt, hands, knees, everything were just fine. I find this quite remarkable when you consider that I jumped on this bike (after only riding one briefly at a demo) and rode it home. That's Honda reliability.

If you don't have a Wing, get one! You won't go wrong. I wouldn't suggest it as your first bike because it is heavy, especially compared to my other two. It takes some getting used to but that will come with time. As for the ride, I can honestly say that I have NEVER ridden in any vehicle that was as smooth as this bike. The front end felt great and it took a bit of adjustment to find the right pre-load for the rear shock, but once dialed in, it was an amazing ride. At highway speed this bike is very nimble. You can almost will it to change lanes and it just glides where you want it to go with very little effort on your part.

I look forward to the spring to do some touring up north and in Canada. There is also another Saddlesore in Virginia in May that I am going to enter. I know I have found the perfect bike for all my future plans. I just hope the other two don't get lonely.

2006 Honda Gold Wing: Owing/riding a 1996 Goldwing 1500a

I've been riding for 36 years, and have been touring for 19 of those years...of which 18 were on 2 Goldwings, and we own a 1996 GL1500a (aspencade). The Goldwing (like all 1500's) is the most sold/bought touring bike in the world (fact). It is extremely comfortable, tons of torque, and very smooth.

Based in the Pacific NW, my wife and I have ridden ours across the U.S. to Niagara Falls and Toronto CAN; to Edmonton, Alberta CAN thru the Canadian Rockies; to the black hills of South Dakota; to Alaska around the entire Interior (thru Yukon and BC), and it performs flawlessly 100% of the time. We also pull a trailer, and we don't even know the trailer is behind us.

The bike is heavy, but THAT is what makes it so comfortable for touring (jus like the difference between a Toyota Corolla and a Chevy Yukon - weight makes it more comfortable on long trips). It is awkward to handle in parking lots at very slow speeds due to its weight. Because of it's weight, it is not a bike for a beginner or a person who hasn't ridden for a long time who is re-entering into riding. To help with handling, put progressing springs in the front, and a heavy duty fork brace - and the improvement is considerable.

Before you buy an expensive touring motorcycle, take my advise and ride all the other brands first and if you are like me, Highly demanding of performance, quality and most of all comfort, you will agree that the Goldwing IS THE VERY BEST TOURING MOTORCYCLE AVAILABLE TODAY. This bike has a lot of Moat. It should come with a warning however, Something like - Riding Goldwings can become very addictive!

I find that the Honda Goldwing is the ultimate touring bike in America. I bought this one because my wife and I are planning to go coast to coast on it. It has heated seats and grips. It has a bilt in Navigation system as well as ABS brake system. It is very quiet and smooth (no vibrations)it has a 6 cyl. engine that puts out a 118 hp. which means pulling a trailer behind us on our trip will be no problem. (gets 43 miles to the gallon)My wife won't ride any other motorcycle because of the comfort factor. It has an intercom system that lets my wife and I talk with a normal voices while riding. It has a six speaker AM & FM radio that is very high quality. it also has a CB radio that we use when traveling with a group of riders. I have seen several Goldwings with more then a 100,000 miles on them that had minimal problems. Why did I buy it? Because it is the best on the road today. Reliable, comfortable, powerful. That sums it up. OH yes, I bought it on eBay because I saved $5,000.00

What's not to like? Power, comfort, reliability, smooth ride and acceleration. Heated grips and seats worth 2x the price! All around, a high-quality product. Wish I had test ridden one before I spent $10K more for an unreliable, always in the shop, rough-riding Harley!
If you are thinking about a touring bike - do NOT waste your time considering any other vehicle that a Gold Wing. Save money and heartache - get the best the first time.
