2002 Honda Gold Wing

I purchased this motorcyle in Florida. I flew from Salt Lake City, Utah to Florida; picked the bike up and drove it 3000 miles. It performed perfectly.

Great bike, smooth, fun to drive, powerful, wonderful styling, many extras. No comparison when it comes to Harleys. Intercom system, audio, cb work well together.

Have had several bikes in my life from scooters to cafe racers and production customs. I was looking for something good on gas, usable as a daily commuter or long distance tourer, and lots of storage. For all around durability, style, comfort the Honda Goldwing is the clear winner. Storage is ample. Controls are all within easy reach. Documentation is excptional, especially if you want to wire in your own accessories. And speaking of accessories, there is no shortage of bits n pieces for these bikes. You can chrome it out, light it up, add more creature comforts (like it doesn't have enough already). If I had one complaint it's that the fiberglass bags clunk a bit on rough roads. I haven't had the bike long enough to really dig into that but I think some weather stripping on the lids would reduce it. Overall absolutely pleased with my purchase and would upgrade to a new one in a heartbeat.

I bought a Honda GL1800 Motorcycle on ebay. I am familiar with these bikes and this one met all my expectations. The transaction was smooth but a little nerve wracking because I have never bought a big ticket item in this manner. Kinda fun, exciting, and cautiously concerning all at the same time.

I bought this bike for a good price. The recalls were all performed and the scheduled maintenance was done. I confirmed the maintenance records through the dealership. This is by far the best bike I have ever ridden and I've been riding for 25 years. I would recommend this bike to anyone that can handle the weight, it's a bit heavy for a light, short legged person.

We love the color of our cycle, which is the main reason we purchased it. Rides like a dream, but it is a good thing I'm a mechanic. The seller had to install a new battery, then a new radio because of a power drain - still not too sure its fixed - then replaced the front tire. But am hoping to take a drive to Canada on it soon though!

I BOUGHT THIS BIKE IN 2003 AS A DEMONSTRATOR. IT WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH ONLY 300 MILES ON IT. I HAVE OTHER BIKES, BUT NONE THAT MY WIFE IS WILLING TO RIDE ON WITH ME. SHE REFUSES TO RIDE ON ANY OTHER BIKE AFTER BEING SPOILED BY THE COMFORT OF THE 1800. I MUST ADMIT, IT IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BIKE I'VE EVER RIDDEN ALSO. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE IT A 4 OUT OF 5 IN THE COMFORT RATING IS, IT COULD USE SOME HIGHWAY PEGS SO YOU COULD STRETCH YOUR LEGS ON LONG TRIPS. IF IT CAME STOCK WITH THESE, IT WOULD BE PERFECT. IT HAS ACCELERATION LIKE A SPORTBIKE, AND THE MOTOR IS FLAWLESS IN EVERY WAY. THERE ARE TONS OF EXTRAS AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMIZE IT TO FIT YOUR PERSONAL TASTES. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS BIKE TO ANYONE. IT SEEMS AS IF IT WOULD BE TOO HEAVY TO RIDE AROUND TOWN, BUT IT IS A VERY BALANCED MACHINE THAT IS EASY TO CONTROL AND TAKES A VERY LIGHT TOUCH TO CONTROL EVEN AT STOPLIGHTS. OF COURSE, ITS AT ITS BEST ON THE HIGHWAY WHERE YOU COULDN'T FIND A BETTER RIDE AT ANY PRICE. THIS IS THE FIRST GOLD WING I'VE EVER OWNED, AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE IF I EVER WANTED TO UPGRADE TO A NEWER MODEL. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS BIKE.
