What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

This bike has the power and torque of a massive V-Twin, with the weight and handling characteristic of a much smaller bike. The stock exhaust is quiet compared to most high-rev bikes, but does seem to be robbing it of power. The SuperHawk is the diamond in the rough that most people overlooked. Very reliable, easy to work on and maintain for the do-it-yourselfers out there. An absolute pleasure to ride, very comfortable, pure adrenaline on wheels. The only downfall is, the lack of aftermarket goodies available. Great stock machine though. A must ride!!

I rode motorcycles since I was 8 years old, starting on a Honda 50.
I bought my VTR1000 Superhawk when I was 40. I had just sold my 2001
DRZ 400 dirt bike and was ready to do some street riding again.
I found this mint condition 1998 in 2002 with 8000 miles on it.After
researching all the info I could from M/C mag back issues I bought the bike on a cold New England winter day.It ran great. My last street bike was a Suzuki 1200 bandit (1997),before they started to restrict the carbs. When I first got to ride my VTR I was pleased that it had the power of the bandit.Great torque low down, and some good high end Horsepower. What impressed me even more was that wherever you pointed the VTR it went.Even if you were a little to hot on the throttle or to heavy on the brakes. The VTR handles great.I gave up a little comfort from the Bandit but gain ALOT of handling from the VTR.

2003 Honda Super Hawk: A sport-touring bike, don't expect a race bike.

I LOVE this bike! Honda reliability is absolute. This bike has a usable amount of torque that is a thrill! Be careful though, you can bring the front end up somewhat easily if you get on it. It has a great deep rumble from the exhaust that I prefer over the high pitched squeal of an inline four. This bike is a great all-round performer at SANE speeds and curves. It was not designed to be a racer. So remember this when making your decision. It is just great! the only complaint is the stock seat gets uncomfortable after an hour or 2 of riding. The front suspension is a little squishy, so adjust it for your weight. The bottom line is I don't think you can get more bang for your buck pure joy on two wheels! I will also state I have not ridden many bikes, so take this into account. I have little desire to either!

I love this bike for what it is. Besides the small mechanical problem that I had when I purchased this bike it is a very good machine. Fast, smooth, and comfortable to ride on. This bike also has a very loud rough sounding exhaust which I love. It is a V-Twin and not what I expected it to sound like. I was expecting it to sound like a whinning croch rocket but sounds more like a harley. Definetely well worth the money spent.

Bought the bike to commute to work in the Washington DC area. Handles great and cruises well. Slightly more upright riding position than pure sport bike with standard Honda reliability. Great bike if you want something sportier than a cruiser, but aren't looking for a true crotch rocket.

This bike pulls like it has a turbo! Nice usable torque range at close to street speeds. Stock gearing is a little tall with 16/41, so I recommend upgrading to 15/43. Riding position is not as aggressive as a full on replica racer, but still this bike isn't built for touring. The VTR1000 makes one bad to the bone commuter! I've ridden more than a few bikes in my time and this one's a keeper:) I decided to buy it because I wanted a big bike that is fast and nibble like a middleweight, but without the buzzing 14K RPM red line that you get from the inline fours and the value verses other twins can't be beat...
