What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

My RC51 is just over a year old now and I will share with you what I have come to realize about this machine.

It is not for everyone. It is not a poser bike, not good for stunting or any flip flop and tank top wearing squid wanna be. You better be ready to learn on this bike because I thought I knew how to ride before I got this. I have been riding for 8 years now and have had 5 other bikes before this. Extremely fast but not in the blinding fast high revving inline four cylinders on every street corner. Top speed will be around 166- 170, quarter mile time in the 10.5 to 10.8 in stock trim. The suspension is wear this thing shines. One of the best showroom stock suspension setups for a bike. Great stability in the twisties, strong turn in and power wheelies out of curves very easy.

I have had this bike to around 155 mph and do not need to go any faster. I love the twisties more so I spend alot of time out in the sticks hitting the switchbacks and you will learn to appreciate its ability to leave alot of weaker ridiers on faster bikes in the twisties.

I have had no mechanical issues, regular oil changes and lube the chain. I have replaced the stock dunlop tires for much better Michelin Pilot Powers and definitly recommend them. I have 4500 miles on this in the first year and it really does get better and smoother with age. Transmission is super smooth and silky. Almost too much since I occasionally find that false nuetrel between 5th and 6th gear. Brakes are great with ample bite for scrubbing off speed in a hurry. Just two fingers needed in most cases.

Cooling system is kinda weak since it runs hot for a modern sportbike but thats one thing you just learn to live with. Just try not to sit in stop and go traffic hence it will roast your legs. At 50mph plus it cools right down. Get a power commander that will lower the temps a bit and free up some horsepower especially if you get after market exhaust. I did and the sound of a Yoshimura or Sato exhaust is truly awesome. Unlike any bike out there.

You will not see to many RC51's anymore and you will always turn heads on this thing since it sounds like a big block chevy rumbling down the street. The 2006 model was the last year of production but anyone who gets a well cared for used one will not be disappointed. Riders of all bikes appreciate the RC for its racing heritage in its early years. 200-2002. The reliability of a Honda, the performance of a great Vtwin and the confidence inspiring suspension setupmake for a great all around sportbike.

V Twin torque pulls my 250 pound frame like I am not even there. Fit and finish perfect!!!! Had one and sold it! Not again as this is probably one of the most easy to ride liter bike out there. Eat GSXRS for lunch. Try one I promise if you like power and performance brakes and shocks this bike is it.

I like the fact the motorcycle is in pristine condition as reported by Cycle Rider. It runs like new and if I lived in California I'd be out riding it now. If a motorcycle purchase is in the future, I will definitely buy from Marty and the crew at Cycle Rider.

Excellant bike. Handles like nothing else on the road. Strong low range powerband compairable to the Duc and Aprilla. Nothing like the v-twin power. Good looks, fit, and finihsh.

I love this bike! It has the most out of the hole power that you can use. I put a power comander and two brothers pipes on it and it made the bottom end smoother and stronger! Worth every penney. The throtel is a little bit touchey at cruiseing speeds, but you can get used to it. And the seat is not the most comfortable if you want to go for a long ride(more than two hours). But it is very fast and very stable at high speeds, and you can get up there NOW!

Awesome bike. I love it and will keep it for the rest of my life. Sure they dont have the top end the the new liter bikes have, but they still run a sub 10 second quater mile with some exhuast and a power commander i mean how fast do you want to go? And they are by no means slow. Not for the beginner and not for riding around town cuz it's not comfortable. But it has a lot of soul. Awesome handling and there is nothing like that sound they make at 9,000 RPM i will only sell when the make the RC61.

i love the torque this bike makes down low in the rpm range pulls strong all the way to red line. This bike really instills confidence in your ability, set the suspension up a little on the hard side mount a set of Michelin pilot powers and a corbin seat and its ready to go. The only thing i dislike is the weight of the bike after a long day on the track your wishing for a 600 but on the street its not a big deal at all. dont think of this bike as a 1000 think of it as a 750. if you think your going to out run a gixxer 1k on the streets your wrong, but take the gixxer to the mountains and you will walk all over it. I say BUY it, you wont be disapointed
