What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I spotted this bike in a cycle shop and knew I had to have it. This was based on looks and it not being too tall for an off road bike. This was not my first off/on road bike or straight dirt bike. It cranks easy, runs good and is a great off & on road handler after I made sprocket and tire changes more suited to off road riding.Only had two things that needed fixing over 3500 miles I rode it. I only put this many miles on it in 9 years. A for the seat, it is well made and padded nicely. The seat was very comfortable for the first approx 30 min or so, then it became uncomfortable. It was just not pleasant sitting on it for long periods. It is hard to judge a seat as it is such a personal item. My other bikes did not cause this discomfort, but I was younger then. I was in my 60s when I purchased this DR200. I highly reccommand this bike for smaller or older people for fun riding. It has plenty of power for fun purposes. It will also maintain hiway speeds easily even with my change of gearing for off road. It came with a very narrow front tire which figured would not be very suitable for soft dirt or sand, so I replaced both tires with DOT street legal knobby tires. This is a nice bike, fun to ride and light enough to pick up if you should drop it. Very reliable and not so tall as to need a ladder to climb aboard. If you are not looking for racing or motocross riding, but like a bike suitable to get to dirt riding areas and will still do a good job when you get there, this Suzuki DR200 is a good choice. On the other hand it is not a cruiser or touring bike, but I have toured the Blue Ridge Parkway on a dual sport bike of a 500cc size. The DR200 would probably have done it too and been even better if I had choosen any off road riding.

I have owned my DR since Nov 2006. I run DOT approved knobbies, replaced the OEM gas tank with an IMS 4.9 gallon tank, replaced the OEM foam seat with an OEM gel seat, added mirror extenders, a skid plate, replaced the OEM handle bars with a Fly Racing aluminum one, and a luggage rack. Have racked up almost 15K miles; mostly on highway and some off road. I have been riding dual-sport/dual-purpose/enduro motorcycles for over 30 years. The Dr is my third thumper. Although my 91 DR350S was a lot lighter that the 650, I have just as much fun on it. I recently had the privilege of riding a 2008 DR650SE. It was stone stock. After ruding it for about 40 miles, I realized that the modifications that have been made on my 06 make it a much better ride. Have made several trips of 60 or more miles. Also went on a ride with a bunch of street bikes the was a little over 200 miles. The gel seat was much better that the original one. The biggest disadvantage to the gel seat it leaving the bike out in the hot sun. It takes a while to get the gel to cool down when left in direct sunlight for an hour or more. I;ve learned to cover it with a towel. Dirt bike did a shootout of the open thumper dual-sport bikes and rated the DR as one of the best; especially off road.

1998 Suzuki DR: DR650 Dual Sport

The Suzuki DR650 Dual Sport is a good commuter bike.It gets great gas mileage(between 50 and 60 miles to the gallon). It is very well suited for road riding and if you like to go offroad it does very well in the dirt.It has plenty of pep to get you through dirt and mud if you have the right tires on it.It is not as good as a strictly dirt bike, although it does very well. The seat on the DR650 could use more padding, but with some time in the saddle you will get used to it.I would recommend rejetting the carb and putting on a SUPERTRAPP EXHAUST.This greatly improves lower end torque and makes this big thumper pull like a tractor. It also makes it sound better, like a thumper should. So if you want a Dual Sport that can keep up with traffic on the highway and still be able to do some offroading this is the bike to have. The DR650 format has been around for quite a few years and the engine is pretty easy to keep up with routine maintenance(oil changes and filter changes)You will love this bike after you put on some add ons like bags and such and a better seat and maybe a bigger tank if you plan to do long distance travelling.Very capable machine for whtever you want to do.

Smooth ride, and quick throttle reaction. Suspension is a little soft, but makes for a great trail bike.

I love this bike , it is the most fun you can have on two wheels , it is fast enough to drive down the highway as a commuter (approx 50mpg) and nimble enough to navigate trails offroad , and perfectly legal enough to do both.
It is all I wanted and much more than I expected.
My only discomfort would be the stock seat , it gets a little uncomfortable fairly quick , but it's an easy fix by purchasing an aftermarket seat that's not overly expensive

Im sure if you have read some of the other peoples feedback about this bike which is all across the web, you would see that im not the only one complaining about the seat on this bike. I swear it is nothing but the truth, its like riding on a log wagon thats traveling 3000 miles a day. I have riden the hell out of this bike since I got it 3 days ago. My A** is sore as can be. They put a ton of engineering into this bike except the seat. Everything else about this bike is great. You cant tell me suzuki has not seen the complaints about this. There answer was to come out with a gel seat. LMAO its a joke as well and worst than the seat that comes on the bike stock. I guess corbin is glad they make a sorry seat. But the price corbin charges for there seats is just plain old rediculess. I refuse to pay in excess of 300.00 for a seat. Instead I have opted to go with a custom made seat done by a local. They charge me 125.00 for a very comfortable seat and simply redoing the one that came on the bike stock. Reasonable and very comfy. If you get one of these bikes hang on cause they have tons of balls and at the sametime, replace that uncomfortable SOB.
