What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

Where do I begin?

Well, the motorcycle was advertised as "showroom condition" in the auction, but it was anything but that!

I cost me over $700.00 to make things right with this "showroom condition" motorcycle. The seller still owes me just over $136.00 to make it right and he will not pay it. I spent over $4,500.00 on this bike, drove 11 hours each way to get it, and I took them at their word. What a HUGE mistake that was!
I am in the process of retracting my good feedback for this seller. I want the public to know what kind of a crook these people are!

I can safely say that I WILL NEVER, EVER buy another vehicle through eBay. By the way, eBay and PayPal has sucked at helping me to recover my lost money. I guess I shouldn't expect as much out of two companies that won't even allow you to speak to a real person.

I'm glad you're so...successful. Please, by all means continue hiding behind your email submissions. I guess you couldn't find a colder way to deal with people.

Thanks so...much!

Best bike for the money. 0-100 nothing can touch it. Well balanced and good handling keeps it fun in the twisties. Very few productions bikes have more top end but they are heavier and not as agile. This bike is built strong begs for turbo or NOX if drag racing is your thing. A few mods can bring the otherwise dated look to today's standards.

If you ever get the chance to own one you won't be satisfied with any thing less.

I have owned a total of four bikes in my lifetime and Have driven well over 3 years and this is my favorite bike and I don't ever want to get rid of it. I got the 600 for the simple reason that it is lighter, which inturn makes it more responsive to turning, and all over much more nimble. The 600 or at least mine has 6 gears instead of 5. My bike has been modified with a full exhaust upgrade, larger jets, upgraded chain and sprokets and pod airfilters, along with the numorus body upgrades.

I must say the 600 model is very powerful and almost threw me the first time I drove it, The bike is really geared for take off over topend like alot of the sporty bikes which lends itself perfectly to driving around town, that being said this bike is my daily driver, and If your looking for a bike to drive more than every now and then this bike is perfect. I chose it because of Its comfort (after all it is classified as a sport tourer), Its performance (the bike is a beast, I once did a burn out when shifting gears at 40mph that has to say something about this bike, and is extremely reliable, the only time this bike has ever been out of comission was when I was rebuilding the carbs) and price, this isn't the most popular bike so damand for it isn't huge oddly enought because it blows alot of the bikes I've been on out of the water.

Deffinatly don't even think twice about this bike only upgrades that are a must are the tires get a nice set of touring tires that are good for preforming in rain, and the seat, its not really a nessesity but you'll enjoy it that much more(it tends to push you toward the gas tank over time, Corbin makes an awsome replacement but you can just as well have the seat redone to your specs at an upulstery shop for much less)

I just this bike recently on eBay. It is a one owner Bandit 1200 wit 18K miles.. I only put about 300 miles on it so far.

This bike is a pure joy to ride; very powerfull yet smooth performance. The original owner had several Holeshot performance upgrades installed and from what I can see they match perfectly. Power is available from about 2000 RPM.

The handling is very stable and the bike feels sure footed, no shaking, twisting etc. It loves cornering. The brakes are superb, thanks to the braided steel hoses and aftermarket brake pads.

What else is there to mention? I am 6'2", 210 lbs and the bike is the perfect size for me and very comfortable with the Suzuki gel seat. I would definately buy this bike again. If there is one feature I wish it had, it would be a 6th gear as you can redline it in 5th gear.

I did some research on the bike and found it to be an exceptional bike, and riding it around for about a month I agree. I only would have like it to be a shaft driven bike, but that is a small complain. Everything else is excellent. Great power, torque, braking. This is one bike I intend to keep for a long time.

Overall this bike feels good, but a little bit in the heavy side.I wish the bike came a radiator fan, becasue sitting in traffic the engine gets pretty hot.The gas reserve only gives me a few miles, and I have already ran out of gas once with still a half a gallon in my tank that wont't go into the carborator. It seems like a default in the gas on and off valvue. The reason I bought this bike, because the price was cheap for this type of bike.

The 2001 Suzuki Bandit
Performance The 1200 Bandit Does it all well,Just nothing Great.
The Front brakes are excellent, the rear brakes are Good.
The Wind screen does a OK job.,
Comfort on the Bandit is excellent to me it ranks up there with any sport/touring bike.
Handling on the Bandit is great, and can keep up with the sportier bikes in the corners.
Quality is good, what you would expect on a bike of this type in the price range.
Headlamps on the Bandit are excellent.
The PROBLEM with the 2001 1200s Bandit is the Pistons. Suzuki goofed and drilled the holes behind the oil ring to large, resulting in Oil burning. Please study up on this, and ask questions.
Just a Note not all of them report oil consumption.

I am tall 6'6" and 320. This bike fits me just fine. I did buy an aftermarket windshield for this bike. The one that I bought was 4.5 inches taller than stock, but still looks very sporty. This bike has loads of power in the mid-range. If you find yourself in a corner in the wrong gear it is not a problem, just twist the throttle and the mid-range torque will make up for the rider error in gear selection. I don't know that it would be a good beginner bike, because twisting the throttle too far will bring the front wheel off the ground without much effort. All around great bike!!! I will definately look at a new Bandit in a couple years.
