What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The v-star is a great entry level cruiser for the Harley wanna-be rider. It has good power and an excellent look. There are lots of after market parts to customize the bike with, you can end up with a totally custom ride that looks as good as a $20,000 Harley. The comfort level is excellent with an aftermarket seat. Road handling is great, cornering smooth with no wobbles. Reliability is excellent, I've experienced no mechanical problems whatsoever. Overall a good bargain.

This is under a pay pal complaint. Seller misrepresented the bike, and did not have a clear title, so this rating system does not fit this product.

The Yamaha V Star is just what I was looking for. It has the comfort plus handles like a dream. Good pickup from a stop and handles great on curves and corners. Balance on the bike is great. This bike is good for both a beginner rider and for the experienced rider it is just fun to ride. Two thumbs up!

The 2002 Yamaha V Star is a beautiful and easy to ride bike. The shaft drive provides smooth power and acceleration. I have a V Star Classic which is only a 649cc engine. I could use more power because I'm about 210lbs., but the bike still handles it rather smoothly. It is also a little to small for me at 6'2", but the added highway bars allow me to stretch out and relax. I am very happy with this bike overall.

2002 Yamaha V Star: 2002 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic.

I had looked for almost 6 months at all different types of motorcycles on E-Bay. I wanted a nice quality motorcycle at a fair price. I wanted a nice looking cruiser that would be comfortable and good on gas. I purchased a Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic. The day I received the bike, I took a 380 mile trip to Houston, Tx. It was absolutely wonderful. The bike rides like a dream and quite mechanically sound. I had a Yamaha mechanic check the bike before going on my trip and it had been kept in excellent condition. It had 8100 miles on it when I received it but it runs much better than new considering how much work had been done to the bike before I received it. The previous owner had added a lot to the bike, including: Custom paint, Kuryakyn forward controls, handgrips, levers, LED's and Neon light kit, Kuryakyn hypercharger w/jet kit. This bike was very well put together and looks superb. I was told by other riders that a 650 wouldn't have enough power for passing or riding with larger bikes but they were not correct. The V-star 650 has plenty of passing power and ability. In fact, if you're not careful you will be cruising at over 100 MPH before you realize it. Very comfortable and smooth cruiser.
Now when I have the option of driving my truck or riding the bike...the bike wins every time.
What's really nice is a round trip to Houston in my truck is about 150.00. A round trip on the bike is only 25.00!!!! Unbelievable, but I kept my receipts so that way I would know for sure!! Over 60 mpg on this bike.
With the look of this bike, the exceptional ride, the mileage and the cost of the Yamaha V-Star 650, I could not be happier about my purchase!!!
After owning this bike for exactly 2 weeks, I have added 1400 miles to it!!! I love it!!!

This is a great bike and it turns heads. As a woman its fun watching the guys take a double look at some girl getting on such a great looking bike. Ladies if your looking for a smooth ride, this is the bike for you.

This bike handles well on the road and is a comfortable seat to sit in for long miles. This Yamaha is everything I wanted in a bike and even more.

2002 Yamaha V Star: A great bike for a shoe sting budget.

If you are looking for a great bike to use as a commuter with a shoe string budget, look no further. The Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic is a great bike for the money. Why pay 2-3 times more for a H/D when you can get a great look alike that is just as good to look at, gets you 40/MPG, and is more reliable than a H/D. I stand at 5'3" with an inseam of 26", this bike fits me perfect. It handles perfectly and has enough power to get me to where I want to go. As I mentioned earlier, this bike looks great. I went to a Harley shop in my town and a sales clerk said "Wow that is a great looking bike." I told her, "Yeah I know, can you believe it's a Yamaha?" The sales clerk thought it was a H/D. That just brought a great big smile to my face.

2002 Yamaha V Star: Great buy for the casual rider

Comfortable ride: The stock seat is comfortable, and even the pillion seat is good for passengers on short trips. Long trips require a better seat for passenger and a backrest for rider.

Low cost for the quality: Brand new with many options, was half the price of a comparable Harley.

Easily customizable: I've added a drag bars, highway pegs, backrest, lowered two inches, added more chrome than a comparable Harley, and ditched the stock turn signals myself without needing any special tools...and, more importantly, cheaper too.

Reliable: After a year of sitting while I was deployed overseas, I came home, checked the fluids, and it started right away. This bike has needed no repairs.

Performance: For a full size cruiser, this bike has excellent handling. Its long length and low profile make it excellent for long trips or freeway riding. The shaft drive and disk brakes add to its safety and improve emergency handling in those situations when car drivers don't see me.

Dislikes: Stock front and rear fenders are plastic and easily scratched.
