2001 Honda Shadow

Great bike. Looks and feels like one of the big boys but very comfortable to ride and easy to handle. Cold starting is a little tricky but once you learn the secret not a problem. Good looking. I get lots of complements. Love the Shadow.

I was looking specifically for a 2001 Honda Shadow Ace and found it at Hamilton Yamaha. The bike was clean and "like new" the way the add said. After I purchased it I had the battery tested and found that it was weak. I let Hamilton know and they sent me a new battery! They were also very helpful in helping me with the exhaust system. The previous owner modified the exhaust to make the bike louder. Hamilton sent me a baffle to make it quieter. Now I have a great looking, great sounding bike at a very reasonable price thanks to the help of a "great" dealer.

The overall cruiser looks and dependability of Hondas in general are the main reason I bought this bike. The color combinations that Honda has offered on this line of product since the mid-1990's is pretty impressive. The availability of after-market parts and add-ons also make this a pretty desireable motorcycle.

The reason I only give 4 out of 5 for comfort? The stock seat. After about 50 miles or so of riding, you'll find that you'll want to upgrade to an aftermarket seat such as a Saddleman or Mustang (my personal preference). You could also have the stock saddle re-padded, a cheaper alternative.

Overall, though, it is an excellent bike!

I made the jump from a 600 Honda Shadow. I love the power, hadeling, and the size for long trips. This bike is slightly higher than the 600 but feels really good.

We love the motorcycle it was better than even the description given. The gentleman we bought it from was so Nice and Helpful! It was such a postive experience and I am so thankful that we won it! The joy on my husbands face everytime he goes to the garage and just looks at it was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive one way just to pick it up! I would do business again with the seller he was just a pleasure! We had bid on several motorcycles over the past few months and when I got up in the middle of the night just to check to see if we had one the bid neither one of us could go back to sleep after we found out we had won! It was easy and pleasurable and I am sure to buy more things on ebay!

WELL I GOT OFF TO A ROCKY START WITH IT. AFTER CHECKING THE PROBLEMS OF THE ENGINE NOT WANTING TO TURN OVER , I FINALLY REALIZED THAT I HAD SOME BAD GAS. I HAD ALSO HEARRD STORIES THAT THE ETHENOLE IN REGULAR UNLEADED IS RUINING SMALL ENGINES. THE PREVIOUSE OWNER RAN REGULARE UNLEADED, I DRAINED THE TANK AND CLEAN THE FILTERS AND HAVE SINCE BEEN RUNNING UNLEADED PLUS. I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A 800 MILE TRIP BACK FROM TEXAS AND "JUNE" RAN LIKE A CHAMP.

It is a great bike and rides very smoothe. I have ridden it to work on the highway and taken it for a few nice rides on the backroads. It is a head turner and I have received lots of compliments on the bike.

I love this bike. It has plenty of power and a ton of torque. It looks and sounds brand new. I bought it b/c for the money you cant beat it. 4000$ for a 1100 with 9000 miles. I have already put 900 miles on it, I love it. I would say if your going to buy, buy local. Win the auction and go see it. Make sure its as the seller said. I won the auction went and saw it the next day. Came back the folowing day and paid cash for it. Also if you pay cash GET A BILL of Sale. If you get a bike I will see you on the road. Keep the tires on the pavement.
