What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I bought this 1988 Mercury Cougar XR7 because I use to have one nearly like it, mine was a Blue Max, it was red with red interior and red wheels, with a silver strip package around the bottem with a bright orange strip in the body guard, so this one is near to that one, and I just wanted one to work with and fix up a little, some to do when I retire for good. I am retired now but still working for a couple yrs longer. Just want to get a couple of more things to work with when I finally stop working. I enjoyed my biding process and had fun with it while enjoying a road trip with my son to pick up the car. So have fun in biding and enjoy ebay as a hobby or past time. Enjoy and good luck biding.

The 1967 Mercuty Cougar is what my husband has always wanted. When it came up on E-Bay, I couldn't resist buying it for him. He flew down to California and drove it home. No problems. Ran like a dream. Best deal I ever made.

I bought car 2 months ago, haven't recieved it yet because Seller, mustang Beginnings, has suggested some repairs and adjustements that i said yes to!
The car is from the muschle era, this one is with the smallest engine, 302" also known as 5.0 L or 5.000 ccm, with 210 BHP and 4 speed manuel transmission!
So my rating is based on instincts, i have never driven this car or one similar to it!
I bougth this car because i wanted a big car, but not a fullsize cruiser, and with 5.5 meters this is a big car in Denmark!
This is a piece of american car history and this one is rare here in DK maybe less than 10 registreded!
Remember this car has emblems in a value more than 1.500 US$, minimum price is 50$ for one of them, so be sure they are not missing when you buy or get a price reduction!
Good luck with finding and buying.
Best regards Allan DK.

Excellent. Seller and myself mutually agreed to terminate my bid. He did so and I apologize one more for doing so. A very understanding gentleman.

I still drive a 4 door truck, so getting into this little car is a lot of fun!! Not to mention the gas savings. I love the stereo (after market) that is in the car. I always wanted one of these Cougar's when they came out with new addition. I love the sporty 2 door! Its a better value to have waited. I do hope that it turns out to have as few problems as it seems to. I've been driving it for 3 weeks now & so far I love it!! Thanks ebay motors!

I bought this car because I have 2 parts cars already. The car itself is in fair condition, and looks nice with it's stream line look. I liked the secquenchial blinkers on the tale lights, and the hide-a-way headlights. this particular car has the center console, and floor shifter in the console, which gives more of a sports car look. It does not have A/C which will be less stress on the engine. It is an old car, and although the paint is old, it still gets attention. With proper care, the car should retain it's value, and even increase in value along with improvements, as it is an old vehicle, and purchase as is, it needs a lot of TLC.

The cougar is a very well made car both in quality and in craftsmanship. It's sporty in style. A very comfortable ride. Plenty of trunk space. Exceptional gas mileage. No real downfalls to the Cougar other than some moisture in the headlights of some and a louder than average heater. Breaks may wear quicker than average. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the Cougar a 9.5. I would highly recommend the 2002 Mercury Cougar! They never should have stopped making these cars! What were they thinking?

Lesser known then the ever popular mustang, the cougar, close cousin has been stepping up in the popularity. Smooth lines and Power on demand, even the small 289 would put you back in your seat. Its stance is aggressive, and even with a mild paint job, the owner will find themselves being challenged almost daily.

The biggest part of getting a car to restore, is knowing what you can do and what you have. Shop shop shop, stop by and look, do what you have to so you know what you have. be realistic.....

I like the photos and the car I saw on ebay. When I picked up the car there was a lot of thing wrong with it that were not mentioned in the ad. Also, the transmission is shakey though claimed to be rebult, exhaust needs work, the steering alignment is way way way off which is terrible on the tires, there are many things in the car that are not working. Other than that the car is pretty nice.
