What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class: 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML350 3.5L V6 AWD

The 2006 ML350 is the first model year of the newly-improved "Second Generation M-Class" and although we've never owned a "First Generation M-Class" we have to say that the 2006 ML350 is an outstanding WINNER!

We recently sold our 2004 Hummer H2 SUV and here are other vehicles we test drove (so you can get a feel for what we used as a comparison):

1. BMW X5
2. Lexus 400h
3. GMC Acadia
4. Ford Edge
5. Subaru Tribeca
6. Chevrolet Tahoe
7. Infiniti FX45
8. Toyota Sequoia
9. Mercedes-Benz R500

When we drove the ML350 (with 19" wheels and the appearance package with the LUXURIOUS double-stitched leather seats with Alcantara suede inserts) our search was over. Although we liked the other vehicles, some more than others, we both agreed that the ML350 was THE ONE!

With the new seven-speed automatic transmission and 268 hp, there is definitely no lack of power, and with the ML350 AWD's fuel economy rating of 16/20, we didn't feel the need to even consider test driving the ML500 with a V8 engine. A nice feature the ML350 has is the Downhill Speed Regulation and Hill-Start Assist, helpful when driving in the mountains.

The handling of this mid-size SUV is exactly what you would expect of Mercedes-Benz, with its smooth, solid ride and a more "sport-like" than "truck-like" driving experience...more like a "crossover" feel, but more luxurious than the other crossover SUVs like the GMC Acadia, Infiniti FX45 or the Ford Edge.

Our Pewter Metallic ML350 has the ebony leather seats with the Alcantara suede inserts and this was definitely a HUGE selling feature for us! Not only do they look beautiful, but these are truly the most comfortable seats of all the vehicles we've listed above. The controls also seem to be ergonomically-friendly and sensibly placed. The shifter is mounted on the right side of the steering wheel and you simply move it up (Reverse), down (Drive) and push the button in (Park). This frees up space on the center console for two cupholders.

The navigation system is the first one we've had, so although we can't compare it to other systems, it works great and is easy-to-use for novices like us! There is no "touch-screen" navigation and the screen stays pretty clean and smudge-free because of this. The only thing I haven't been able to find using the Mercedes-Benz COMAND Navigation System (besides brand new streets) is the ability to search for "post offices". Restaurants, city centers, shopping malls, wineries - yes. Post offices - no. That's fine, I know where my local ones are anyway, but once I was looking for one when I was traveling. I'm not even sure if other nav systems list post offices, but really, it's no biggie at all.

The Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound system is pretty awesome and not only is there a single CD player (below the DVD Navigation disc player) behind the COMAND screen, but there is a 6-disc CD changer that can be accessed from the glove compartment. Of course, with the integrated MP3 player input jack that's also hidden in the glove compartment, who needs to store all those CDs? But if you don't have an MP3 player, it's good to have.

We have absolutely no complaints about this vehicle and would not hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury mid-size SUV. Although we were never drawn to the M-Class before, this new second generation model really grabbed our attention with its new larger size and streamlined design...and impressed us so well during the test drive that we purchased the ML350!

2003 Mercedes-Benz M-Class: 2003 MB ML320 AWD

• Overall Satisfaction:5/55/5
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is a 4-door SUV with light off-road capability, first offered in 1997, and built in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, USA, at the same time as its competitor, the Infiniti QX4. It marked a shift at Mercedes-Benz in becoming a global player; while it had plants outside Germany before, they merely built facsimiles of German models. In contrast, the M-Class was conceived with the American market in mind and built at an American factory. Despite early negative press about quality control, the M-Class became a huge sales success in the United States. In fact, only the C-Class and E-Class sell better in the US.
Production: 1997–2005
Engine: 3.2 L V6
4.3 L V8
5.5 L V8
5.0 L V8
3.7 L V6
Transmission: 5-Speed Automatic Overdrive
Wheelbase: 111.00 in.
Length: 182.60 in.
Width: 72.40 in.
Height: 71.70 in.
Curb weight: 4614 lb
Fuel capacity: 22.6 gal.

The M-Class was the first SUV to feature stability control, a system designed to detect loss of control and instantaneously intervene with selective braking to bring the vehicle back on its intended course. This system is now hailed by safety experts, and studies have shown stability control and systems like it are capable of reducing single vehicle crashes by up to 30 percent. Furthermore, the M-Class boasted front and side-impact airbags with advanced occupant detection for the front passenger seat, which, combined with Mercedes legendary safety structure, earned the M-Class the highest marks in insurance industry crash tests.

Major model variants have included the ML320, ML350, ML430, ML500 and ML55, along with the ML230 and the turbodiesel ML270 CDI and ML400 CDI in Europe. The ML55, or ML55 AMG, featured a V8 engine made by AMG, modified body-work, and other performance features. Pricing initially was US$33,950 for the base model in 1998. The ML350 replaced the ML320 as the base model in the United States a few years after its introduction by Mercedes-Benz.

The M-Class was Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year for 1998.

2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class: Safety is worth the quirks!!

I love it because I feel it is the safest vehicle that I can put my family in. Electronic Stability Control, REAL roof crush protection, all the Airbags, Emergency Brake Assist, and over 100 years of a FOCUS on Safety!!

I dislike the little plasticky parts that break, ie, cupholders, driver seat side trim, mirror adjust knob, rear window side trim pieces (losing it's clearcoat), rear air vents.

The performance is very smooth and reasonable fuel economy for an AWD V6. The AWD system is EXCEPTIONAL in ANY conditions. I have had this thing in complete mud with steep inclines while raining and never had a problem up or down mountains. It will find traction in the steepest of conditions. And no levers to shift!! My wife loves the security of the vehicle.

Excellent sound system with a so so AC system...ok for front passengers but less so for rear.

Feel free to contact me for more info...

The vehicle has many comfort features that make it easy to drive on long trips as well as around home. It performs well for acceleration and gets reasonable gas mileage. The ride is very comfortable with the front bucket seats. The only negative is with the rising price of gas the vehicle requires a higher octane grade of gas (I knew that when I bought the vehicle)

We chose to purchase the vehicle because of vehicle quality, options on vehicle, low mileage, and reasonable price.

Car has 65,000 miles and starting to fall apart. Fluids are leaking from every source and the SUV rides like a truck. My Ford Expedition has a better ride. 20 miles per gallon is the best on the highway from a 6 - pathetic. These Suv's are made in Alabama and it shows - these should not be called Mercedes. I also have a 1990 420sel that is ten times the vehicle that this POS is.

I like the Mecedes-Benz because it is easy to get into and also has pretty good gas mileage for a med size van. I am having some trouble with the check engine light coming on. I have changed one 02 sensor and plan to change another, hopefully this will correct the problem. I live in a rural area that has a hilly terrain. I plan to use this as a family van.
