What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1993 Mazda MX-3: Became My Passion Car

I really love my MX-3. I've owned mine for about two years and it has never failed on me. Before my ownership this car was owned since its creation in 1993 by my mother and it was reliable in every aspect. This car is going through a second life as the only vehicle for an active family, so this MX-3 has lots and lots of miles. I could easily say mine has 200,000+ miles, but I couldn't tell you to be sure becuase my spedometer went out some time ago, and for some reason I keep forgetting to get a new one. I really like the stock look but I think I want one of those cool digital ones, lol.

With having so many miles on it, it has never had any major problems. It's had a replaced alternator, the air conditioner went out maybe a year before I got a hold of it (air conditioners always go on older vehicles though), I think it needs a new distributor, and its got a scary metal cracking noise when I speed up and accelerate, but those are all fixable easily. Of coarse this vehicle has been driven like there was no tomorrow, and it's expected of any vehicle to have a few things go after being driven through states and being pushed through tight corners for enjoyment.

I'm a muslce car lover and it's a wierd relationship owning a small Japanese car, but it's easily become a car that I am very passionate about and very soon I will start heavy engine work and make this little care into a racer in disguise.

Performance : It's discouraging when you know that your sporty looking car gets a lot of other cars on the road looking and picking a fight, but you know that if you take up that green light race your MX-3 will lose. It makes me personnaly sad for my car and I've promised to engine swap it and become obsessed with giving it some muscle.

Comfort : Understandably I am a smaller stood person that most men, so for me it's small space is perfect, but as a review I can't rate it perfect because there are a lot of larger people out there that might not be comfortable in a small space.

Long Live Mazda MX-3!

This car is one of the most reliable and agile cars I've ever driven. I live in the Midwest and saw plenty of winters, and this front wheel drive car could handle slick/snowy conditions better than any non-4 wheel drive car. In sub-zero temperatures, I could turn it over with no worries. Braking is very responsive in the car provided pads and rotors/drums are maintained.

I owned the 4-cylinder engine, and 88-hp is not going to win any speed contests. It is responsive from rest and with the weight slightly north of 2,000 pounds, it's light enough to get away with it. A V-6 option was available and plenty of guides show how to perform upgrades on this car to get it passed 200 HP with engine swaps (BP-Turbo 4 Cylinder, KL-ZE V-6).

The ride of the car is phenomenal for those who enjoy the feel and sound of the road. The springs feel sporty and allow the driver to feel the road without the ride being bumpy. A low slung cab gives this car a low center of gravity and making a passenger looking up at most vehicles. I would drive all across Chicago and Wisconsin, sometimes up to 7 hours straight and I never had any complaints. The backseat is a different story. Having two kids back there is fine, but putting adults back there takes a twisted sense of humor. The rear seat folds down for max cargo space.

I purchased this in 2001 with roughly 120,000 miles on it and rode it to till 183,000 when I was rear ended. I suffered some rear structural damage, but the Neon that hit me was totaled. I regularly got 35 MPG on highways and 29-31 in the city. I have this car in storage until I can get it repaired and I would recommend anyone looking for a project car or a car for their kid to have.

The car was described as good mechanically and like new paint. Some of the things wrong (not all inclusive) car would grind in second gear, body parts missing, wipers bad, paint especially hood terrible, excessively loud muffler, parts hanging from under the car. I did not puchase this vehilce! Beware of this seller! New to Ebay and won't last long like this! Thanks, Ron

We owned a mazda mx3 gs for a little over a year. When we bought it, there was 86,000 miles on it. We only put a couple thousand miles on it and unfortunately the engine blew. Granted it was older!! We tried to have a new engine put in, but the cost to do so would've been roughly $4,000. We didn't have that kind of money. So we traded it in on a 2004 honda civic. Dont get me wrong having a reliable car to get around in is wonderful. But I would trade the civic for my mx3 anyday. The mx3 was a head turner, its a rarer type of car and super sporty! Alot of people didnt even know what it was. The cars handling is superior it drives like a go kart. It didnt have tremendous power, but there is potential for more if you have the money to put into it. We had an air intake, a cat back exhaust & some other mods. As old as the car was before it went bad it ran flawlessly, the only problem we had with it while we owned it was a cv joint. So if you like littler sporty vehicles definately look into this one! You will not be disappointed. The only drawback to this car was the room. We now have 3 children ages 7,5, and 6 months. So there is no longer room for all the kids. But one day again we will have an mx3 for a second vehicle, we plan to find one after Christmas. People still laugh today when i tell them i miss that car, and that i would give up our civic for one. But out of all the cars we have ever owned the mx3 was by far my favorite!!!

I have had my mazda for about 4 years give or take, It is a great car. still has original motor in it at 205000 miles onit, Still runs good. but smokes now, and leaks oil on spark plug. i bought it because when i was 16 i had an 88 rx-7 that looked like it and i loved that car until kaufman cops racing there cars smashed in the back on me going 110 mph at impact. car still ran but undrivable. i just bout a wrecked mx3 v6 model so im going to swap the 4 cyclinder for the v6, which includes wiring harness which i think is goin to be alot of work but shop said 6-800 bux. i paid 200 for car. all in all its a great car good on gas still the way it is now,

The 1992 Mazda MX-3 is very reliable. I would rate it among one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. Its down side is its interior which is best described as cheap. My engine provided 88 hp to the front wheels. It was not by any means a perfomnace beast. But the MX-3 was good commuter car providing ~27~32 MPG in the city. Don't let its commuter status fool you. If tuning is your thing check out MX-3.com for some ideas.
