What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

It looks pretty good on the interior (with the GT package), and the exterior isn't bad to look at either. Drive the car for a couple years, however, and witness the entire vehicle fall apart before your eyes. I'm easy on cars, and things that I don't even use, like the mirrors on the sun visors, start breaking. The paint is horrible and will show swirls no matter how careful you are when washing/waxing it. Mechanically, it hasn't given me any trouble yet, though the bumper to bumper warrantee just expired so my luck tells me something big is going to break soon. Simple replacements like a new battery will cost you an arm and a leg because it is Korean and the parts are rare. The fuel economy is horrible compared to other vehicles its size. Overall, I would not recommend this car. It may be cheaper to purchase, but in the long run you will save nothing and will be stuck driving a cheap Korean piece of crap that has lost so much value since you bought it that you can't afford to get something else.

Two Great Reasons....number 1....the Gas Mileage....34 mpg on a trip from Floida to Atlantic City and number 2....the price, $4,500.00. The car is clean, comfortable, rides smooth and also has a sun roof.

2005 Hyundai Elantra: I love this car: 2005 Elantra Hatchback GT

I just recently bought my 2005 Elantra GT Hatchback and flew from Wisconsin to Florida to pick it up. I like the looks and utility of the hatchback, and the durability of leather. I'm 5'8" and weigh about 220 with broad shoulders. Even though this is a small car, it has all kinds of shoulder room and the seat is really comfortable. I don't feel like I'm crammed into a sardine can. While you cannot compare it to a Cadillac, the ride is fairly smooth and the noise level is tolerable...no rattles. I set the cruise between 75 and 80 mph and stopped every 400 miles for gas. At that speed, I averaged over 34 mpg. I expect to get even better when I drive to work at a more sane 60 mph. This is not a race car as it did not care for some of the "tighter" corners on I65 at the higher speeds, but it responds and handles just fine at 60 mph. I got this as a commuter car to drive to work over flat, rural, state and country roads.

My husband really likes this little 4 door hatchback! We bid on it for him to use it as a work vehicle, but we had to have a vehicle that had good gas economy/gas usage-to drive to work and back each workday-and he loves it! And it is a gas saver!

The Seller was very courteous and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience go smoothly. The ad copy said everything worked fine, and it does! And we were both surprised by the cars sunroof and working car alarm, which were not mentioned in the ad copy, and worked perfectly!

We are very happy with this vehicle, and very glad we won it! We highly recommend this Seller to anyone looking for a dependable used vehicle! purplesisters7

This is a tight little car. We bought it with pretty high mileage, but there are no rattles or squeaks. The little 4 cyl engine has amazing pep, especially off the mark. Your head hits the headrest almost every time until you get used to it. Good stereo. Smooth transmission. Excellent gas mileage. Good placement of all the controls and dials--perhaps with the exception of the cruise control. It is a stalk off the lower right of the steering column, and sometime my leg hits it (I'm 6', 220 lbs). I bought this car because it is a throwback to the 70s when I had 3 hatchbacks - a chevette, an omni, and a horizon. Love the hatch! The Elantra hatchback is like one of those with more room, better style, better engine and transmission, more comfort and some reliability for a change! For the price you can't beat this car.

2001 Hyundai Elantra: Hyundai Elantra for a Teen

Bought the car for a new teenage driver. Selected it for the combination of safety (good crash tests and front/side airbags) fuel economy, and OK looks.

The cab is considerably more noisy than a newer full size car (say a Camry), and I've experienced some noise in the rear drum brakes; particularly when they're cold/wet. Not sure what to do about that.

Overall, I think it will meet our needs and if it gets "dented" Oh well.

This deal never went through. I had to file a non-performing seller report and you never replied to me the results! I am DONE buying cars on EBAY! Too many slugs. I will take my chances at local dealers. I am VERY disappointed at EBAY.

i would of expected a much more solid car from hyundai than this, it is common that the transmission speed sensor goes out, the transmission scares me a little with the fluid turning brown and being told this is normal, the MPG is worse than my chrysler 300C, and that is a major disappointment since i bought this car for my daughter.

nice looking car

2005 Hyundai Elantra: Salvage vs Used

After someone broadsided me and totalled my car I needed something to drive. I had owned 3 other Hyundai vehicles so I knew the product and had never had an issue and if there was one, their service took care of it immediately.
I had never purchased a car with a salvage title so I was a bit leary on that issue. I won the bid on the 2005 Elantra GT and flew to Salt Lake City to pick it up. The car was just as decribed and the sellers were extremely courteous and helpful. My only advice would be, know what your state requires in paperwork when making such a purchase. I have been waiting for the title for longer than normal process.
I have bought several autos on Ebay and have never been disappointed with the transaction or the price. My whole family drives an ebay auction car now, including me.
