What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

Typical stiff ride of a one tone. If you like to drive with a hot cup of coffee be prepared to burn your lips. I got 16.4 mpg the day I bought it which in my opinion is excellent for something that size and I have the added weight of full size Ranch Hand bumpers, running boards, headache rack and tool box. The 7.3 diesel is noisy so if you go to work 4am, your neighbors may learn to hate you. Other than that it's wonder piece of machinery. The 3.55 differential is great for highway but I would have preferred a 3.73 because most of my driving is less than 55 mph. A limited slip differential would be real handy when leaving a traffic light on a wet road. Parking can be quite the challenge because of the size and turning radius. It becomes more difficult with a Ranch Hand bumper because it sticks out farther. The interior is very spacious with lots of head and elbow room. Seats are very comfortable but only recline about 45 degrees back. Tough on those of us that like to park under a shade tree and take a lunch time nap. The automatic locking hub design on the 4x4 is pathetic. There is a flimsy metal wire clip that holds the spindle nut in place. When this wire fails the spindle nut unscrews and the only thing holding the front wheel on is the brake caliper. Spindle nut kits are available to retro fit for about $20 for an aftermarket (or $80 from the manufacturer) and the design is very good. Afterwards, the cam assembly for the automatic locking hub no longer fits and consequently (based on my internet research)your front hub won't lock unless you replace it with manual locking hubs. Having 2 tanks gives you the option of burning alternative fuels without losing good ol' diesel. The oil capacity is 15 quarts w/ filter not your typical 5 quart and the cooling system is 23 quarts so flush and fill will take 3 gallons of antifreeze. Be aware that you will be charged more for services on these items. The engine takes longer to warm up than most vehicles but the block heater overcomes that issue on winter days. Visibility is very good and the altitude is great. I have the electric mirrors which don't stick out from the vehicle as far as the manual mirrors and the passenger side mirror is the "objects in mirror are closer than the appear" types. Unfortunately, when you are backing up so are the objects that your trying to park next to without hitting. When I get out and look, I see that I am still 20 feet from an object that I thought I was 3 feet from. So back in the truck and back up some more. The point is that you can't judge distance which is essential when backing up so you have to rely on the driver side mirror and because it doesn't stick you very far you still have judgement issues. I used to drive 18 wheelers and good backward visibility is a big hangup for me. I bought this truck for $8K w/ 210K miles and it was in great shape for a 10 year old. It had a few chips in the windshield, a small crack in the dash, upholstery was in good shape with no rips or tears, a few chips in the paint, the window tint needed to be replaced and the tail gate was dinged up. It takes about 5000 miles to lose a quart of oil and it has the coldest air conditioner that I have ever had. I fully expect to get another 100K miles before anything major has to be done. It has lots of pockets and compartments for various stuff and jumbo size cup holders. I love this truck. Overall the price, comfort and economy vastly outweigh the few, mostly minor problems.

2001 Ford F-350: 2001 F350 XLT club cab dually 7.3 diesel

I purchased this truck a 2001 F350 XLT club cab dually with a 7.3 diesel engine to replace a 2004 F150 Lariet super cab truck with the 5.4 gas engine that I purchased new. My old truck was just too nice to use as a truck and I don't like the 5.4 gas engine. I was looking for a dependable truck that would haul heavy cargo, up to 8,ooo lbs, or pull an enclosed car hauler that I own. I also wanted a vehicle that I could use as a truck and not be overly concerned if I scratch the bed or fender. The exterior paint is still glossy with only a few minor dings and chips on the body. I was also looking for a vehicle that I could someday use with bio-diesel. With 180,000 miles this truck still drives, rides and performs like a vehicle with 40,000 miles. The interior looks like new and has cloth seats that over time hold up better than leather seats. The engine is remarkably smooth and the transmission shifts cleanly and crisply. No leaks, no signs of body damage and all the vehicle accessories work properly including ice cold air. Tires are almost new, brakes are strong and smooth stopping, but the emergency brake need adjusting to hold properly. The only other area showing some wear is that the headlight lenses are beginning to get cloudy. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and expect to keep my truck for many years to come.

Bought the truck to tow a fifth wheel trailer and it does a fine job. Performance wise I'm blown away as this truck has a chip installed and can go from stock to high performance. Feel like a kid driving again when the chip is boosted (also better mpg's according to the former owner, not turned on highest boost of course but at about 2/3). Would burn thru too many tires on full boost. MPG'S 9 when towing, 17+ highway unloaded and 13 city unloaded so far. Very roomy interior, plenty of leg room all around. Comfortable seats with the Lariet package. Unloaded you know your in a truck ride wise but I bought the truck to tow 11,500#'s of fifth wheel and I'm very happy with my purchase. Diesel does cost 20% more in NJ but I'm around 25% better MPG'S then a V-10 so slightly ahead on fuel costs but way ahead on torque rating. Forget the 5.4 in a truck this heavy - 9900# GVWR. Look for a 7.3 powerstroke diesel in good shape and go with it. Ford 6.0 has issues and the new 6.4 = 8 YES, 8 MPG city due to the new emmission requirements. Very lucky in my purchase of this truck as only 90,000 miles and in good shape except for the little dings and scratches. Traveled three states away to pick it up but well worth the trip.

There might be minor issues, but the truck is great! And it has already been paid! The steering column might have to be adjusted or replaced. The tranny may slip a bit, but I did purchase a warranty from DEsert Autoplex. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I did pay them at their location.

Its a good running ,looking truck. It could use more power from Ford , but that was fixed with the help of a chip. It now has the power you would expect a diesel to have.

The vehicle model and engine type is exactly what I was looking for. However, the mechanical condition of the truck was not described as well as it could have been. We initially had planned to fly to the vehicle and drive it home (650 miles) and it turned out that the truck was not mechanically sound enough to go 5 miles. A bad fuel pump, Bad front wheel bearings and front brakes as well as a damaged suspension sway bar mount and a leaky water pump made the vehicle a tow away only delivery. This was not made clear in the description and resulted in money lost for airline tickets and shipping and storage costs. Plus, the cost of repairing the worn or broken items will likely exceed $1000.00. In retrospect, I should have paid for a vehicle inspection. The results would likely have convinced me to continue looking for a better condition vehicle. I trusted the seller to describe the truck and he did not do that job well at all.
In shipping the truck, the seller and the shipper failed to notify me on the date the truck was picked up for transport three weeks after the auction. As a result, we were not aware it was coming and missed the delivery truck. This caused additional storage cost when the trucking company had to off load it at a local storage and required an additional local towing of over 40 miles to get the vehicle home. Not a smooth transaction at all and the truck was not really a very good deal.
