Ford F-150

Back in 1995, we purchased the 1995 Ford F-150 XLT. Although many fords(Fix or Repair Daily) are known to have terrible reliability, brakes, etc, this one is great!

It may only have a 4.9 Liter V6 under the hood. It may only have 2 wheel drive. It may only have 201,600 on the odometer.

But this F-150 means business. Twelve years later, you can load it up with hundreds of pounds into the bed, and it will still haul it like it did the day it came home. The paint, 12 years later, looks brand new. The brakes, the transmission, the engine, AMAZING!

If you are looking for a second truck, or even a cheap reliable truck for a daily driver, go ahead and get the 95' F-150. You really can't go wrong.

Pros: Paint Still Shines, 4.9L V6 Running Strong, Transmission Shifts Smoothly, Low Price, Will Last Long, Hauls a lot, TWO gas tanks

Cons: Cheap American Plastics (interior), Horrible stereo system, A bit small compared to huge trucks of today, gas mileage 15/20, No Remote Keyless Entry

The Verdict: If you are looking for a decent-looking, strong, and cheap truck, then you would not mind grabbing the keys to a 95' F-150. As long as you do not care about cheap American interiors, this should be the right truck for you.

I love the car, got used with just 2000 miles and still low mileage, drive for about 2200 miles back home and never saw any problem, besides some squiques. ovrall it is a very good and strng pick up, people look everythime when I make a turn and between the contractors they respect much more now.

The cab is roomy for a regular cab. It has four doors and enough room behind the seats for groceries or tools to be carried inside. The ride is very comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised by the gas mileage.

The truck runs pretty good and always starts. It came with very good tires & very nice interior with working air conditioning, which is a nice bonus. The truck's body is in descent shape for the year, but you do have to start the truck's automatic transmission in 2nd gear 1st until you reach 25mph then you can shift it up into drive. (I was told about that). I am not sure if overdrive works or not because the rpms on the tachometer read pretty high at 2000 rpms at 65 mph. There is no muffler & there is only flex pipe connected to the catalytic converter for the exhaust system (which I was not told about). The tilt steering column knuckle is internally broke & only stays in the highest position. If you try centering the column it will eratically jump out of place & move up or down, (which I was not told about neither), it could be dangerous. The steering wheel also stays in a somewhat turned position while you drive straight down the road so it probably will need some steering parts like a tie rod, or an idler arm, or maybe a ball joint or maybe even all of the above. Underneith the driver's side floorboard is a rust hole where you can actually see the insulation/carpeting coming through (which I was also not told about). The passenger side window will fall down if you take it too far down, but I was told about that. So for $1125 you get what you pay for. So once I get everything repaired on the truck it should be a nice, safe, reliable truck. Overall it is a pretty nice pickup truck.

I bought this vehicle for light towing. So far, I've only driven it about 180 miles but it is solid and rides real smooth.

THe TRuck was Great, 100% Great Transaction. THis is the 2nd vehicle i have bought on Ebay.. I would highley recommend buying vehicles on Ebay but just be careful and never asumme anything,ask all questions before commitment

I like everything about my new truck. It is a great used vehicle, all and more than I could expect from a 1992.
