Dodge Durango

Consumer Reports lists the Durango 2003 and after as a good buy. The crash testing for this vehicle is above par as compared to other SUV's in the same class. One of the advantages of the Durango is that it sits between the average midsize and overly large SUV's. We needed an SUV that could seat our family but we also were mindful of the gas mileage issue. We also did not like the feel of driving an overly large SUV. The Durango Limited is the perfect option. It offers a roomier interior than the other Suv's in its class. We had considered the Jeep Commander but were sad to find we were cramped inside and there was limited room to put groceries in the back. We opted for a Durango with a 2 wheel drive 4.7 liter engine instead of the HEMI to save on gas as we are in Florida with no need for a 4 wheel drive. We are currently getting 15 miles to the gallon in the city with the AC on.

One of the main reasons the Durango was our first choice was the towing capacity. The towing capacity on the Durango is much better than other SUV's in its class. As we plan on pulling a camper, that is a huge benefit. If you plan on pulling a camper or a boat, the Durango is the option for you. If you have a very heavy boat or trailer, you still have the option to choose the HEMI which can pull even more. We also feel it is important to make a stand to purchase American vehicles. We are proud to drive a Dodge. Remember the decision to buy a foreign car stays with you for years and years.

My 2000 Dodge Durango R/T is the best car I have ever had-BAR NONE! It is comforatable, dependable, looks good, and couldnt be any better for a family or a hardcore 4 wheeler. The only reason I rated performance a 4 is because the gas mileage aint great, but lets face it, if you are looking at Durangos that isnt your primary concern.

I bought this truck used in 2005...Best vehicle I have ever owned.I had them all from ford Exporer to GM cars to Honda and BMW 530I AND Z4 AND Z3 ...I have driven THIS TRUCK over 110000 kilometers which is about 65000 miles and the only part I have changed was the battery 95.00...thats it!!Excellent truck,very confortable,and you feel very secure...Dont hestiate to buy one...ok the gas is more expesive but at least its very dependable.Recommend highly!!

Unable to afford a new car, I began searching for a really nice, certified used car on ebay. After viewing numerous vehicles, up popped my Durango, and it was love at first sight! The appearance was great and the price was below wholesale by KBB values. First thought: What's wrong with it? Answer: Absolutely nothing! It looks like a new vehicle and drives even better. No bugs to work through, no rattles to locate, and lots of reviews to read -- all complimentary. Being certified with a full history report, I knew it had never been wrecked and had never been damaged by flooding. Repair history showed routine maintenance with no major repairs and no insurance claims. Throw in a 3-yr. warranty, and how could I go wrong! Being mechanically sound and beautiful, my next concern was cargo space. There had to be lots of comfort space for my three American Bulldogs ranging in size from 97 lbs. to 135 lbs. With flat-folding 2nd and 3rd row seating, my guys had it made. So long, conversion van -- hello, Durango! Add to that the firm, supportive seats that fold easily in seconds, even when you haven't read the manual; doors that lock automatically at 15 mph; enough plug-in receivers to accomodate my GPS, iPod, computer and mini-fridge all at one time; and a cargo space that is absolutely smooth for my bulldogs' comfort, I have found my dream car! There just aren't any negatives to report. And the great experience I had with the seller, Texas Direct Auto, is beyond compare. Being a female of 63 years, I can tell you some horror stories about car buying, new and used. Up until I purchased my Durango on ebay from Texas Direct Auto, I had never had a completely pleasant experience with car buying. Now, I will never buy a car any other way. Many of the friends and co-workers who warned me to beware are now checking out Texas Direct Auto on ebay. If you have a chance at a certified, like-new 2005 Durango, buy it. You won't be sorry!

I bought mine in january so I have had it for over 6 months. I love it. I traded in a camry for it and I don't have a long commute (8 miles). gas mileage is not great but I get 14-16 around town. From what I hear that is better than most. It has some slight problem but nothing that causes major problems. Just regular mantainence. I love it. Much nicer than any of the other trucks that I have had.

I have had this vehicle now for almost a month. I love it!!! Ours has a Hemi--awesome power. We also have the overhead DVD player, great babysitter. The room is wonderful, 7 adults comfortably. We were worried about the gas milage. We got 21 mph on a trip and around 18 around town, not bad for the size of the vehicle and the motor. Overall, I would definatly recommend this vehicle to anyone with a family. It is fun to drive and we love to go anywhere in it.

I've owned my Durango for about 2 years, putting about 70K miles on it during that time. It's the SLT (stripped down) model, but does have the 5.7L Hemi. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about the car. The mileage is about 14 in town and 18 on the road, but you probably knew that already. I've conducted regular maintainence IAW the owner's manual, use synthetic oil and burn E85 ethanol. If you want a reasonably priced SUV that will tow Manhatten, the Durango is a great way to go!!

My durango is the best vehicle I ever owned. It has a 5.7 V8 HEMI. I love the interior and room. It has all the extras including the TV. Makes for great trips with the kids.

This vehicle was exactly as described. Performed very well on long trips and I am very happy with my purchase.

Vehicle was another i have purchased recently that did not meet my satisfaction.
unfortunately like previous purchases ebay wont do much to rectify the situation.
wont buy any others unless i can view before purchase and have an independant garage verify condition.
