Datsun Z-Series

This is my second 280Z, the last one was twenty years ago. This one is very good for a thirty year old car, just a little harder to get in and out of at 60 years old. Needs a little work but thats why I bought it, to drive and tinker with. Over all a great find.

I decided to purchase the car for a son going to college, The car was really bad due to the Clear and flagrent misrepresentation from the seller. Even after two phone calls and specific questions about the car,I`am out $165.00 and and a full day traveling to and back from his place and he is whinning about the relisting fee, dont be a lier and sell the product truthfully and you will have a lot fewer problems

I have alwasy loved the original Z cars, classic, timeless styling, great handling, alot of bacng for the buck! I live in Cincinnati and unfortunately, most 70-78 Z's rusted out around here 20 years ago. When it came time to buy one, I went to Ebay. I found one in my price range listed by a user by the name of spaunracer. NEVER buy so much as a glass of water if you are dying of thirst from this crook! Waht was advertised as a rust free, great example of an unrestored, unmolested Z turned out to be a rusted, beat up POS! The theif advertsied it as his baby, yet I found out after buying it he had bought it 4 weeks prior using a buy it now for $1750. The crook used the classic bait of lying about the condition and put it on Ebay for a reserve of $4000. Unfortunately for me, I was the sucker that bought it for $4000, paid another $1000 to have it shipped here.
Then, I never received the title. I had to get Ebays fraud department involved and to make a long story short, I finally received the title in November after sending the theif a check in August! Turned out that the Oregon BMV said he had applied to have the title put in his name in OCTOBER, 6 weeks after he had my money!
Moral of the story, be careful of what you buy on here, especially automobiles. Ebays fraud protection is all but worthless in my opinion. True, tehy did finally get a title out of the guy, but I feel I should have been protected under their agreement since he was not the leegal owner at the time of sale. The only satisfaction, besides threatening to sue the loser, was to leave negative feedback. Then the fraud post negative feedback to me calling me a PIECE OF DOG FECES, something Ebay refused to remove from my rating becasue it did not fit their defintion of vulgar.
I am out $5000 for a car the crook bought for $1750 and I get called names as well? Somehow, that doesnt sit well with me! The car came with a rattle can paint job, paint overspray everywhere! A rusted out hatch, rusted frame rail, rusted floor, rust hole in the front passenger fender. The radio was broken, the heater inoperable. The brakes squeal like a yellow school bus! It handles badly.
NEVER BUY FROM SPAUNRACER FROM SALEM OREGON...a thief in the truest sense of the word.

Love the car. Hard to find one in this good of shape anymore! Runs great A/C blows nice and cold. Will be updating the car with lots of new parts very soon!

I purchased a rusted lemon on ebay. The car was misrepresented by the seller. A local Z mechanic and specialist looked at the car after my purchase - said I got burned - it was a 75 percenter meaning 75% rust. The seller has not been willing to do anything about making the transaction whole for me as the buyer.

This will be my last automobile purchase on ebay.

I would have loved to own the Datsun Z. I was very excided to have won the bid. So much so I told all my friends of my purchase.
Only to find out the seller would not honor the sale.
As I was very disappointed with the seller, I was also very unhappy with Ebay and there rules or should I say no rules that bind the sales with there on-line auctions. I'm sure Ebay made there commission but I did not get the sale or ownership of the fine automobile that was for sale on Ebay.

Had previously owned same car back in 1980, it was good
and I just always wanted another one. When I saw this
on ebay I just decided to buy it.

The car was well maintained and was offered at a fair price. I was looking for a collector car that didn't need alot of work.

I've had a few before but wanted another. I saw this on ebay and new that it was the one. I love the looks and the ride plus the styling. I may sell at some point but will buy another!
