What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2001 BMW 3-Series: 2001 BMW 325 CI "Ultimate Driving Machine"

I’m writing this review to provide potential owners with a real story of what I have experienced with my BMW and some general things to keep in mind.
First I would like to say that I’ve driven a ton of cars and this one is VERY impressive. My 2001 BMW was purchased after I Carmaxed a troubled 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. Now I’m by no means rich, but after looking through an auto trader I found that BMW aren’t as expensive as people make them out to be. The trick that I later found is that someone can give you a Ferrari; however it might cost you over $20k a year to maintain. I hope you see my meaning. Anyways, I brought the car used with 67k miles on it and have driven it practically trouble free ever since. It’s important for futures owners to realize that a BMW is just a car. If you’re handy you can do a lot of the work yourself, with the help of a few online forums. For example most BMW 3 series’ conveniently wear out the control arm bushings; this is a small part under the car that the dealer usually charges $1000 to do, but can be done at home in the >$400 range. An oil change at BMW runs over $70 where as you can do it yourself for half the price.
-Driving experience- The BMW 325CI is one sharp looking car. The coupe has beautiful lines and a nice style that’s sure to grab attention. It’s no speed demon though, its 2.5l inline 6 does 0-60 in around 7.7sec with the 5sp manual. Kicking out a decent 184 hp puts it as an average accelerator in my opinion. Seeing that a Nissan Maxima, or Acura TL-S would knock about a second off that 0-60 time. That’s kind of disheartening, but this car was built for luxury. The inside offers easy to read gauges and comfortable seating. However the back seat is a pain to access and it’s not too big.

All in all this is a solid car to have and enjoy. The repairs are pricey, but the comfort and quality is equally yoked.

Hi,

I didn't buy the car. I looked at it and it's a crash vehicle. there are several body parts replaced on the front, right and back of the bmw.
the interior looks really bad too. a lot of scratches and mailfunctioned buttons.
the passenger seat didn't work well too and the seat belts are broken.

It's really a beautiful car, clean inside/out. Very nice sellers and even though I got the car with a complete empty tank and the next day it shows a a ligth to check engine soon, I think the service was very outstanding from sellers, I would thing I will buy another car from them but this time I will be more careful.

Excellent in the snow and a pleasure to drive in all weather especially on hills and curves. I have driven these XIs for the last decade+ and have found them very reliable. THe pickup is great. HAve to careful to keep it under the speed limit!

This car has cost me a fortune. A fellow put in new sparkplugs last week and charged me $300.00 two hours labor and $18 per plug. Control arms went out, air conditioning, radiator overflow, two other things with the radiator, brakes were quoted at $850 and I ran from that mechanic and got another to do brakes for $550, and he returned car with missing exhaust cover. Denied he did it! This was spotted here on ebay and my 330i had only about 57,000 miles and I put on about 12,000 in the 18 months I have owned it. It was a certified used car and bmw dealership did ac and three other things, so I only have $4000 out of pocket in the car in repairs, in 9 months. The car is beautiful seinna red and drives like a dream. I wish I had never clapped eyes on it!!!

Although BMW's have been in my family for many years, this is MY 1st one. Ya gotta love German engineering. This car has everything! Took me over a week to figure out all the bells, whistles & switches. And safety?? Way too many safety features too list, but bottom line is, this car will keep you safe and for the most part out of danger under normal (not racecar maniac)driving. The fact that it is a sports car means a higher level of maintenance is required. If you want rock solid reliability and inexpensive maintenance, then this is not for you. If you want Fun, excitement and a grin from ear to ear, and can handle the higher than average maintenance issues, then GET THIS CAR. I purchased it with remainder of the Certified Pre Owned (CPO) Warranty on it, less than a month left. Worked out well due to the variable valve timing unit that went bad. Its a $1000 dealer repair job but I had it done under CPO with less than a week left on the warranty. : ) IF you decide to get a pre-owned BMW (wise choice) make sure you get one with the CPO on it. I am confident I will squeeze 150-200k outta this thing before getting a newer one.

I love the fact that this car can rip some fun roads and not feel like it is ready to go the junk yard after. You can beat it as hard as you want and it rarely leaves you spending money after.
The bad is that the real fun ones "M3" are mostly convertibles and all of them have the bark from the exhaust when romped on! What happens when you are trying to beat on the car at night and everybody can hear you 5 streets over and are calling the cops!!!!!!!!!!
