What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2004 Audi A6: 2004 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro

Well, here I go again. In an attempt to be true to the form, I have purchased 2004 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro with 79K miles on it. I need to mention THE FORM. The form is that I purchase a higher mileage 3 year old vehicle and use it for a year. 2003 Acura TL Type S being the previous one, 2004 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro should make quite a good replacement.
First things first. Interior is a good notch better than Acura. You get a feeling that someone cares for you somewhere in Germany. I will fail to describe it. It is like moving from a high volume highway to a serene scenic drive. I hope you get the picture.
Now, there is nothing serene about A6 abilities. Well, having said that, I should mention that in case that you want to drive serenely, by all means, it is your choice and the vehicle will accommodate your desires. Let’s imagine, for the purity of the conversation, that you desired to push it to its limits, wave through the lanes and take some sharp turns. All of a sudden you realize that all that time you have had a tiger in your hands. Effortless high speed corners, thanks to Quattro all-wheel drive, abundant torque at any rpm, thanks to nearly perfect gear ratio and twin-turbo under the hood, gives you a feeling of driving a smaller and sportier vehicle.
The cons are simple. There are significantly higher repair costs then average. I have had to replace the timing belt along with one of the sensors. The whole thing offset me $450 (it is likely to be $1000 at the dealer). So consider significantly higher maintenance and repair costs.
I hope you can find this info useful.

Over-engineered. Maintenance costs are high. Quattro system is unsurpassed for Alaska winters. Interior finishes are very nice. I just had to have the sport seats but they are not very comfortable on the seat for larger people (I am 6-2, 220 lbs.). I understand now why many Audi's are leased vehicles to begin with. Market value of vehicle drops significantly after four years. I got what I thought was a screaming deal on my eBay purchase, but immediately upon arrival of shipment I had to dump over $3,000 into the car, but most of it would have been scheduled maintenance including timing belt. Local mechanics have told me many people purchase an Audi then cannot afford to maintain them properly or pay for expensive fixes. I got the 4.2 liter V8 and would buy no other engine. Gas mileage compared to the 2.8 turbo is a non-issue.
I love the look and driving feel of the car, but will probably buy Acura or AWD Lexus next time for reliability.

Thanks John(seller).
This car handles great. And with mileage of 107000 this vehicle has plenty of life left. I purchased this vehicle for $3250, and the Kelly Blue Book value was over $6000. There are only minor issues with this car.
Thanks again, Bill(buyer).

This car, first and foremost, gets its fair share of "oohs" and "aahs" from friends and family (and envious neighbors)!!!

I bought this car on eBay from an independent dealer who knew and loved Audis. He went the extra mile to help a first-time Audi owner with the transfer of warranties and other paperwork.

The car is loaded with high-tech gadgetry and things can (and will) go wrong. Get an excellent Audi CPO warranty! This will put the smile back on your face (fast) in the dealer's service area.

The handling is great but the seats are indeed a bit stiff. The AudiWorld.com forum is an amazing support group for these cars and they also delve into maximizing the car's features and performance. Satellite radio helps the sound system show what it can do.

eBay made this transaction possible with the security of their buyer protection program. Before paying the balance of the purchase price on a bank draft, I used one of the two major inspection services to check out the car - and I'm glad I did.

So far (45 days later) this has been a fun adventure.

Without (amazing) eBay, I would not have bought this amazing car!

Purchased on ebay from FL with 35K, 2 yrs ago (still under factory warranty in 2006). Generally pleased with the car. Very sharp; styling and creature comforts are great. Excellent stereo and quick. Quality is lacking, though, coil went; trunk lid wouldn't lock; A/C leaked; Cat Converter replaced (under warranty).

i've crashed my 97 A6, bought this one for spare parts. =almost= as advertised. drove it from providence, ri to westfield,nj without a problem. next day power windows stopped working, didn't figure out yet if it's a fuse or more complicated issue. was filled with wrong antifreeze type that actually causes corrosion of engine, changed it next day. computer show the oil level is low, even after the right oil change -> sensor is malfunctioning, I guess. hvac system had 6 fault codes, both flap motors are out. when in "diff" mode, vehicle leans badly to the right, some noise is coming from the rear (wheel bearings, maybe). some interior trims are missing, rear wiper is not working. Missing valve cover. All lighting is good, leather is in pretty good condition. in other words, for 1850, it's worth the money. i'm satisfied with the transaction.

I had recently driven an A6 and was greatly impressed. The cost of an 05 in our city was cost prohibitive. My husband was searching around on ebay looking at the auctions and we saw this one. It had almost every available gadget and looked really clean. We noticed the bidding and felt that was going to inflate the price, but saw the buy it now and I hit the "buy it now" button. I am delightfully surprised at the condition of the car. It was still under warranty and that was a big bonus. It handles great, looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier. I rated a 4/5 for comfort because the seats are a bit stiff and hard to sit on for more than an hour but I think we have discovered the answer to that. If you do buy one make sure you have your finances in order because things go pretty fast once you hit that buy it now button AND if it is in another state you will need to add the cost of shipping which can be around $1000 extra.

2004 Audi A6: 2004 Audi A6 S-Line 2.7 Turbo Sedan

Let me start by saying I am a big fan of Audi. I feel that buying a used Audi is absolutely the best value you can find of any auto manufacturer out there today. This is my 6th Audi and most favorite. The things I like most are:

1) The style of the car is perfect. The lines are so clean and aerodynamic and it always turns heads when you are driving it.

2) The performance of the car is just incredible. You step on the gas from a stop and in no time (about 6 seconds) you are at 60 miles per hour, with no turbo lag or hesitation. Merging into traffic will never be a problem again. If this car had wings I'm sure it would fly.

3) The quality of the car is also first class. From when you shut the door and hear the thud it feels that it was chiseled out of a solid piece of iron. My car is almost 4 years old and has 32,000 miles and there is not a squeak or rattle to be found.

The features are everything you would expect in a world class automobile. My favorites are:

- 2.7 Twin Turbo Engine, 265 Horsepower
- Quattro All-Wheel Drive
- Bumper To Bumper Warranty
- Heated Seats & Mirrors
- Bose Premium Sound System
- Front & Side Airbags
- Ipod Hookup
- Memory Seats & Mirrors

If you are thinking about purchasing an Audi A6 I would suggest a 2004 S-Line with the 2.7 turbo. The 2004 A6's were also available with a 3.0 liter non-turbo V-6 or a 4.2 liter V8 but the Turbo offers the best performance combined with decent gas mileage. For 2005 Audi changed the car and I prefer the older style myself. The new A6's have the longer grill on the front end and the interior seems to have lost its simplicity. My best advice is to try to make sure that there is some manufacturers warranty remaining or that the car is certified by Audi that way if you take delivery and have any problems Audi will cover them. My only dislikes is that Audis can be expensive to repair and the owners manual suggests using 91 octane premium fuel. However, I have always used 87 octane and never had a problem. If you are looking for a reputable dealer I purchased mine on Ebay from Elite Auto Brokers out of Gaithersburg, MD. I worked with the owner who's name is Moshe and had an excellent experience from beginning to end.

I have several AUDI's (A4,S4,A6,100) and this is the second A6 2.7T I have purchased (both on e-bay). Its a fun car to drive and asbolutely a great long haul car. The 2.7T engine has plenty of pep, but as it gets mong intooth, expect some oil leaks from cam shaft seals and the turbo oil lines..not too expensive to fix. The tiptronic (automatic) transmissions can cause problems that are pricey to fix, so if you are test driving make sure it shifts smooth up/down in both Drive and tip modes...any clunking or bumping sounds probably should be casue to look for another vehicle..

2001 Audi A6: 2001 Audi A6 with 70K

I was so impressed with the A6 my son purchased, I just had to have one. Got one with 70K miles on it because I didn't want to have to worry about the timing belt and water pump right away. From the moment I first sat in my A6 I have really enjoyed the entire ride experience. Smooth, quiet, comfortable and sporty to say the least, it's one of the best used vehicles I've ever purchased. I'm still waiting for the expensive repairs to start, but I went into this eyes wide open, so hopefully it won't be too much of a shock. I did replace the fog lights myself and that wasn't bad at all. When the weather gets better I may attempt changing the oil just to see what it involves. All in all, I'd have to say that the purchase experience has been a good one. I flew from the Midwest to Philly and picked up the vehicle in Allentown. The transaction was very smooth and the seller really helped in the overall process by being helpful and accomodating. The drive home gave me ample time to get acquainted with my new ride. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
