What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value Range assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2005 Acura TSX: Great compromise between practicality and fun

I bought my TSX new in 2005 and now have 53,000 miles on it. When I purchased it, I test drove a BMW 328, Auto A4, Lexus IS, and Mazda 6. While not quite as sporty as the German autos, it was a lot cheaper, offered just as many if not more luxuries, and still offered good performance at a much lower price tag. (Not to mention much better gas mileage: 24/31) In terms of quality of ride, the TSX blew the Mazda away and was comparable to the BMW, Audi, and Lexus.

After owning the car for 3 years, I still enjoy driving it as on the day I got it. The Acura Navigation system is still better than all of my friends' newer systems in other cars. In terms of performance, this car doesn't blow people away off the line, but it's surprisingly fun to drive for a 4 cyl/200hp vehicle. The two best things performance wise are the tight yet smooth suspension, and the performance the car gives you at speed. It'll go from 60 to 80 as quickly as any other car on the road.

The best thing about this car is how resilient and reliable it is. I tend to drive my cars pretty hard. I regularly throw my sports-shift transmission into 3rd gear at 70mph on the interstate to zip by people, and I also tend to accelerate pretty fast at stop lights, etc. I have not had even a hint of a problem with it for the first 53,000 miles.

Bottom line is that the Acura TSX is a great combination of sportiness, quality, luxury, safety, passenger/truck space, and gas mileage, all for a very reasonable price. In fact I'm confident in saying that no car would beat it in all of those categories without costing at least $5K more new.

Last things to consider:
- Spend a few extra bucks for the Nav system. Even if you just drive it around your home town it'll change your life.
- If you're an "automatic transmission" person, try the sports-shift transmission. Even if you like a traditional manual tranny (as I do) this is still fun to drive.
- the 2006+ TSX models have bluetooth integration and real-time traffic on the nav system. I wish I had those. Consider that before buying a 2005.

I hope this helps. Patrick.

Acura did it again! This car is great looking, quick, and Honda reliable. It handles like a dream. With all the standards like leather and a sunroof, it looks and feels like a much more expensive car. Great gas mileage, too.
I have been driving mine for two years without a single complaint. Just the basic upkeep and maintenance is all it needs.

2006 Acura TSX: Sporty and Luxurious Car

I have always loved and owned the Honda line of cars. My last vehicle was an 1991 Acura Legend. When I was shopping online for a new vehicle, the Acura TSX stood out at me. I had to go to a dealership to get a closer look because they looked small inside. I was suprised to find out just how much room they had! I immediately fell in love with the TSX but I did not let salesperson know that as we stayed and haggled over price. I was a little apprehensive about the navigational system and the XM radio but now I hate to drive any of the other vehicles in the family because they are without those luxuries. The voice recognition system gives you a choice whether you speak to a male or a female. I do a lot of mountain driving and there is absolutely no loss of power going up hills. The only downside to this car is that it takes 91 octane which is the most expensive gasoline, however I can get around 26 MPG around town.

2004 Acura TSX: Lots of Value here Plus it's GREAT LOOKING!

I have a black with tan leather 2004 Acura TSX. It is a fantastic value in it's class. At the time I was looking the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C Series, were more expensive and had FAUX LEATHER! Sorry, not spending 30K on any car to get fake leather. This car, with a couple of notable exceptions, lives up to the Reliability that was also a deciding factor for me. The only problem that apparently is commonplace is the Stereo/CD/Audio system in this particular year of the TSX is super trouble-prone. Any Acura Dealer will see to it that it is taken care of but in my situation it was really a hassle, as they couldn't fix it totally until the third try. That is my only major disappointment...I do have a minor complaint: the ride is terribly choppy for a vehicle of this caliber.

OK so you're thinking I dislike this car, WRONG! It's a perfect blend of REAL luxury, performance, overall reliability, supreme fit and finish. And quality materials. You know you're in a luxury car when you're in this car. And, they hold their resale value very well.

I would highly recommend this car to anyone. If you're looking for a vehicle that will be around and not cause big repair bills than this is your car. Unlike the Mercedes which for all the price and hype is terribly unreliable. That, and the faux leather, were the main deciding factors when it came down to crunch time.

This is a quality vehicle that is truly well-made, attractive, FILLED with standard equipment, and it will be around as long as you need it. And it won't be giving you headaches over reliability issues. MAKE SURE THE AUDIO SYSTEM IS OK.
Having said that I give it a 5/5! It reminds me daily the joy of driving!

We have owned this car for over 2 years now, and over 40k miles, and love most everything about it. The sportiness and feel are second to only cars of much higher price. We studied extensively cars by other manufactures prior to the purchase of the TSX and it seems to have been a good choice. Acura only offers a couple of options on the car,( navigation and Transmission) We have the Navigation and the 5 speed auto w/manual shift mode.On large longer inclines the trans shifts down to keep the 200 hp 4 cylinder engine in its torque range but not excessively, and maintains around 30mpg on the highway. We average 24-27 with all in city type driving. The manual shift mode is very handy on declines down mountain passes to help save on braking that would otherwise be neccasary. The only quirks I could mention might be the latch on the center console doesn't divide the two holds easily(pull one lever and both holds open) and the ride quality of the car is sporty not plush like the TL version of this same make, (but its certainly not a bad ride, I am just older).Seat heaters, mirror heaters, airfiltration and dual climate zones are all real pluses in our book. Try one out you won't be dissapointed.

The Acura TSX is an immaculant car that both young and old drivers alike can enjoy. Its K series motor provides a great economical mpg while the VTEC awaits for that great feeling of adrenaline. I will say that it is not the most powerful sedan sports car out in the market but it is a car that serves its daily purpose with excellence. I truly recommend because of its quality and immaculancy..

2006 Acura TSX: Loaded car with all the goodies, for a great value

I have had this car for a little over a year now (switched from Dodge). Car has about 15000 miles on it, and was driven across the country within the first 3000 miles. I lived in Florida, and now live in Utah. I've driven it on humid flat terrains, to dry mountainous terrains, and even off-road (don't ask). The only problem I have ever had with it was frozen washer nozzle lines. So far, Honda reliability has been proven without a shadow of doubt.

In addition, this is hands down the best value I have ever seen in a car priced at $30,000. It comes fully loaded and only gives you the option of manual/automatic (sport shift) transmission, and navigation system. Leather seats, voice recognition, Blue Tooth support for phones, heated seats and mirrors, in-dash 6 disc CD changer, and HID headlights all come standard. The gauge cluster conveniently houses an oil viscosity gauge gives you a good idea of when you have to go in for service (normally every 6000 miles), fuel mileage calculators, as well as the outside temperature, and your travel time, all of which I flip through everyday.

I have the navigation system and give it a thumbs up, it has helped me out more times than I can count. The only downside is that it doesn't automatically update new streets, so you have to purchase new DVDs (which are pricey) if you want updated information. I also wish it had traffic reports like the TL does. With that said, it really cleans up the dash by incorporating everything into touch screen/voice activated controls (ie. you can vocally tell it to change CDs, go to a particular radio station, find you a restaurant, or even call someone if you have a BlueTooth capable cellphone). People are always in shock when I answer the phone using the car, without having to pull my phone out of my pocket.

From a visual perspective, the car is designed well as a luxury/sport sedan, and has a very clean interior. All things said and done, I cannot rate this car any lower than 5 stars. The things I would change about it are minimal, and this car will likely keep me with Acura for years to come.
