Acura NSX

I was frauded on this car. It was cut in 2 in a fatal accident, is undriveable, unsafe and illegal. I received no help from ebay nor paypal to resolve this dispute making me start both a criminal and civil lawsuits against the seller. The auto repair shop that is Acura certified states this is the worst repaired car they have ever seen as was put together on the outside to hide the inside major problems. No horn, air bags, hood latch, front wheel tacked welded onto aluminum frame, radiator crushed, air compressor missing etc. Structurally, the frame cannot be fixed because the accident was over 100 mph hitting a tree head on. Very unhappy!

Best seller, great buy, would do biz with again again and again.

There is nothing to not love about the NSX. I have been a car affiondo all my life. Before the NSX hit the US I'd already researched it and knew this was the car to own. 15 years later, I still feel the same. I haven't been able to drive it much the last few years so I've contemplated selling it. Problem is, I know after I sell it, I'll want it back, even if I don't have time to drive it. It is great decor in my warehouse.

I love the look, design, technology and uniqueness of the Acura NSX. I collect cars and I was looking for a nearly perfect example of a 1991 NSX. I found mine on eBay that was located in Dallas Texas. I flew in and drove 1600 miles to NY. It handled flawlessly. The only slight negative that I would say is the pedals are very close and it took me a while to get use to this (they are only about a foot's width and I would not hit the one I wanted accurately). This car is very impressive and I thank David for his accurate description and selling me this car.

Awesome vehicle. Unique styling and fantastic reliability. I have admired these vehicles since 1991 and knew one day that I would own one. No time like the present. Very tight community of owners and the car is timeless in its styling.

I recently bought my first car off of ebay. It was a wonderful experience and the car that came to me (car was shipped from ny to LA)was perfect. I was always skeptical about buying a car from ebay, but after my experience i am sure i will do this again. The process was ridiculously easy and the vehicle was "cleaner" then i imagined once i had the car in my possesion. I've had friends purchse M5's and a Mercedes Benz CL600 from ebay and he swears by it as well.

I have owned 3 NSX's over the years, and having driven a Ferrari 308 before getting the first, I was shocked at how Acura (Honda) could completely make Ferrari irrelevant with their first exotic car. I love the mystique of the Ferrari name, and to be honest Ferrari has brought out improved cars compared with the offerings of the late 80's/early 90's (starting in 1995 with the F355, and moreso with the 360 Modena and F430), but the press has widely acknowledged that this might never have happened if the NSX had not come out as a better car at a fraction of the price. $400 oil changes and complete drivetrain removal every 3 years at $5000+ to replace the engine belts were acceptable on exotics until Honda decided a $25 oil change and a $1000 belt job every 6-9 years (depending on the year model) would get the job done. They also introduced technology that Ferrai took nearly 10 more years in some cases to bring to production (all aluminum chassis, 4 channel ABS, Variable Valve timing, etc.). My cars have been reliable, and have run over 100000 miles without any major service needs. You will find Ferraris with more than 10000 miles are rare, and cars with more than 30000 miles are not only rare, but also worth tens of thousands less than camparable models with less than 10000 miles (if you can even find a buyer for them). Look at the F355's for sale and see it's not uncommon for the seller to just have spent $10000 in service costs to get it ready for sale. The NSX may not consume that much in service costs over it's entire life (although it does go through tires much more regularly than the average sedan driver would expect. The later cars (97-05) have the larger engine, 6 speed, improved chassis rigidity, larger brakes) are even more exciting to drive, and are excellent track day cars. I still love Ferraris, but it was Acura that made Ferrari produce the quality of car they do today (not only in terms of performance, but also in reliabilty, which is much better than in the 70's-mid 90's, but would still cause a revolt if any Honda/Toyota/Chevrolet required the service that Ferrari owners consider normal. I may be in the driver's seat of a Ferrai again one day, but I hope I win the lottery so that I might be able to enjoy the car without concern over depreciation and upkeep costs. Until then, I will continue to enjoy the Acura and the attentio it gets everytime I stop for fuel or at redlights from people who either know what it is and admire it (most never having seen one in person) or people who have no idea what it is, are shocked to know it's a Honda product.

I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PURCHASE 2 NSX'S. BOTH HAVE BEEN SCAMS. THE SELLERS ARE ABLE TO LIST THEIR CAR ON THE EBAY SITE. ON THE SECOND LISTING, I CHECKED THE ITEM NUMBER AND SELLER AND BOTH CAME BACK ACCORDING TO THE EBAY SITE AS LEGIT. I EMAILED THE SELLER TO QUESTION THEM ON THE CAR, ONLY TO FIND OUT FROM EBAY, THE ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND THE SELLER WAS NOT REGISTERED.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS AND LOOK FOR THE RED FLAGS. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANY NSX UNLESS THE LOCAL ACURA DEALER CAN INSPECT AND VALIDATE THE SELLER AND VIN.

I HAVE QUESTIONED EBAY ON HOW THE SCAMMERS ARE LISTING THEIR CARS AND EBAY ONLY REPLIES WITH A FORM EMAIL.

BUYERS BEWARE. THIS IS A PROBLEM YET FIXED OR ADDRESSED BY EBAY.

I love the car I always wanted to own one.. The seller (Josh) was very helpful and I wired him the money the following day that I won the auction. For my experience ebay is safe and will get you anything that you always wanted. EBAY IS THE WAY TO GO!!!!!!
