WE HAD A CAMRY BEFORE, AND WE LIKE THESE CARS WELL. THIS ONE LOOKED PRETTY GOOD AND CAUGHT MY EYE QUICKLY ON EBAY EXPECIALLY WHEN I READ DESCRIPTION AND IT STATED CAR HAD 88K MILES ON IT AND DIDN'T MENTION ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I PLACED A BEST OFFER AND SELLER TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD ACCEPT THIS OFFER BUT THAT THE CAR HAS A 'EXHAUST LEAK' AND IF I BUY IT FOR MY OFFER PRICE I WOULD HAVE TO FIX THAT. I SHOULD OF BEEN ALARMED THEN SINCE THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THE EXHAUST PROBLEM IN THE LISTING. AT ANY RATE, WE DRIVE A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES ON NOT SO GOOD ROADS TO GO DRIVE IT. WE GET TO THE CAR LOT 'COUGHLIN IN NEWARK' AND AFTER BEING RUDELY OVERLOOKED AND SIDESTEPPED WE FINALLY GET SOMEONE TO LET US DRIVE THE CAR. DIDN'T GO FAR BUT NOTICED OBVIOUS PROBLEMS BESIDES THE EXHAUST LEAK THAT WASN'T NOTED. MOST THINGS WERE MINOR BUT AN OBVIOUS PASSENGER SIDE WOBBLE, SHIMMY IN THE FRONT END AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS THIS PROBLEM CLEARLY FELT THAT THE BALL JOINTS, CV AXLE, WHEEL BEARINGS ONE OR SEVERAL OF THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED. UPON RETURN TO CAR LOT TOLD THE SALEMAN ABOUT THIS AND HE SAID HE HAD BEEN INFORMED OF SOME PROBLEM THERE. HE DIDN'T OFFER TO REDUCE PRICE FOR THIS BUT I RELUCTANTLY DID. MY GUT TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS ALL BUT I REDUCED MY PRICE SOME AND THOUGHT THAT SINCE THE CAR ONLY HAD 88,000 MILES ON IT THIS SURELY WOULDN'T BE THAT BAD AND I COULD HAVE IT REPAIRED. IF I WOULD OF BEEN TOLD AT THAT POINT OR EARLIER THAT THE MILEAGE WAS ALTERED I WOULDN'T OF MADE THIS JOURNEY IN THE FIRST PLACE AND AFTER ALL THE PROBLEMS I FOUND WITH IT AFTER DRIVING IT WOULD NEVER OF BOUGHT IT. I DON'T KNOW IF IT 188,000 OR 288,000 MILES ON IT!!! I FILED FOR EBAY'S 'BUYER PROTECTION INSURANCE' AFTER PAYING TO HAVE A VEHICLE REPORT FROM THE LISTING PAGE ON THE VIN NUMBER. HE SAID I DIDN'T QUALIFY SO I ASKED HIM WHAT KIND OF PROTECTION IS THIS THAT I CAN BE LIED TO AND DECIEVED BY BEING TOLD THIS WAS ACTUAL MILEAGE??!! HE DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. I'VE NOW FILED A DISPUTE AND TRYING TO GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT IF NOTHING ELSE I'D LIKE TO SEE THE SELLER PUNISHED SOMEHOW SO MAYBE THEY WON'T DO IT AGAIN TO SOMEONE ELSE. I FEEL I SHOULD BE REFUNDED SOME MONEY FOR THIS OR WOULD LIKE MY FULL PAYMENT RETURNED AND CAR RETURNED. THE SELLER HAS NOT REPLIED AT ALL TO THE FILING OF THE INSURANCE OR THE DISPUTE DIALOGUE!! AFTER THEY FINALLY GOT A SALESPERSON TO WAIT ON US THEY WERE TRYING TO BE EXTRA NICE AND NOW I SEE WHY!! I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE DISPUTE WILL END UP AS BUT I CAN SAY I WAS DECIEVED AND THE SELLER TO ME IS THE SAME AS A THIEF! I WILL LEAVE THE APPROPRIATE FEEDBACK FOR THEM BUT STILL WAITING TO SEE HOW THIS ALL PANS OUT AND IF THEY HAVE ANY HONOR LEFT IN THEM TO MAKE THIS RIGHT(OR AT LEAST BETTER) BEWARE AND BE THOUROUGH WHEN BIDDING AND/OR BUYING A CAR FROM ANYONE ON OR NOT ON EBAY AND DON'T ASSUME THE 'PROTECTION' IS GOING TO DO MUCH PROTECTING FOR YOU.

I absolutely loved the car the descrption was as described in the advert. it met all my expectations

I did not buy this vehicle and I'm still trying to get my $500 deposit back. This seller was not the legal owner of this vehicle. He claimed he was selling it for someone that lived out of the country in Brazil. Who in their right mine would complete this transaction. The seller did not disclose this information until I requested a photo copy of his license and a copy of the title. There was no way I was going to give him $11,000! I think this may have been an international scam. EBay makes it to easy for sellers to cheat buyers! Ebay can fix this problem very easy by requiring the seller to send a photo ID and a copy of the title to eBay, to make sure that the seller is the legal owner and a certified statement that there are no liens on this vehicle. There are to many dishonest sellers using eBay as a venue to cheat and scam buyers out of their money! Ebay won't crack down on this because they're making millions off of these transactions!

Toyota makes a very good vehicle. Looking forward to many years of use. Don't know what else to say. Haven't had the vehicle long enough to say
