2009 Volkswagen Jetta

Its such a great car, that you dont have to worry about the next time to fill up with fuel. Did I mention 40+ miles per gallon.

This car is fast and tight. Good gas mileage. So far so good. I want a TDI now. Has sunroof, trip-tronic transmission. Nice cold AC. I will buy one for my wife, too.

This vehicle offers the most value for the money. It is very comfortable as both a driver and passenger. It handles well and has a relatively smooth ride for its size. It has the security of being a front wheel drive for our western Pennsylvania winters. This car has alot of extras for added comfort. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for economy and comfort.

I owned a Vw Jetta 2003 Wagon, I am 74 years young have owned lots of cars. This jetta 2003 Wagon was really fun to drive so when it had 170000 miles on it and i was able to get nearly 1/2 my purchase price back out of it. I did sell it and bought an almost new 2009 it is wonderful great performance i expect great reliability, comfort on espially long trips is better than my Excursion. The craftsmanship is sound and solid. So i am a very happy Jetta TDI Sportwagon owner.

2009 VW TDI / 6 speed manual transmission. Doesn't drive or sound like a diesel -- lots of torque and a blast to drive. Clutch and getting started from a standstill seem a little too tight. Not fun to get going from a stop on a hill! Fit and finish is very good... 40-50 mpg on the highway is great! Very quick little car, and remember, it is a clean, green diesel engine! Recommend it highly!

I have the 2.5, 5 cyl. gasoline engine w/ auto transmission bought new & has now 8,500 miles on the car,. Performance is suprisingly responsive & quick especially when the transmission is used in a "manual shift" mode - it's fun. Gasoline mileage is excellent as I'm getting 25 mpg in-town and 31+ mpg on the highway. Reliability is outstanding. Comfort for a small compact wagon is very, very good, but keep in mind the suspension is tuned, I think, close to a sport suspension. (I'm relating this to my full sized Jaguar that's a bit of a luxo ride - very smooth & soft.) Craftmanship is excellent & well fitting panels, doors, hood & etc. But I do have a screw or nut thats loose in the dash that rolls around sometimes untill it gets jamed in a corner or seam in the dash. The only negative issue is that the white paint will stain with gasoline, but eventually disappears. Apparently other auto mfgs have the same problem. I bought the wagon for it's utility, V.W. engineering, reputation & design. I had a '00 New Beetle prior to this & virtually had no major issues with it, thus the brand loyalty.

Here's a true performance car, turbo diesel, that I've been able to get real-world fuel economy of 47 miles per gallon at 60 miles per hour, and 42 miles per gallon at 75 mph with the new tiptronic 6-speed automatic. Plenty of room for four adults, excellent seating with plenty of adjustments, a nice stereo with 6-disc CD player, MP3 and Ipod hookups. These cars are barely discounted, but they do hold value tremendously. I recommend leasing as a reasonable alternative to financing the mid 20's price tag. You can lease it for 39 months, then buy out the lease, sell it and put $3-4000 back in your pocket, all the while you're getting great fuel economy in a car that weighs in at 3400 pounds and hugs the road like a racer. If you can find one, buy it or lease it. Use it for your errands vehicle. The economy will pay for itself.
