What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

This car was everything it was depicted to be. I have several other cars, and I might have to decrease my inventory, so if I have to sell it after-all, someone will get a great car!

Super Previously Owned Car Dealer. Thanks!

overall it's a great car - if I was to do it over I would definitely go for manual transmission - automatic works great, especially with the manual switching option but the mileage is not as good as I expected because of that - 28 city driving, add 10 for highway, with the new ultra low sulphur diesel fuel. interior plastic components look nice but have some coating that tends to scratch revealing a shiny underlay - happens a lot around the ignition. back door needs to be slammed hard to close but I'm still really happy with the car.

IF YOU AFRE LOOKING AT THIS CAR IS BACAUSE OF ONE REASON ONLY,(ECONOMY)... IT IS NOT A LEXUS NOR BMW BUT IT FOR SHURE GET YOU ARROUND FOR ALOT LESS. THE TANK HOLDS 14 GALLONS AND YOU WILL GET OUT OF IT ARROUND 600 MILES, IF YOU ARE A 65 MPH DRIVER YOU WILL DEFFENETLY GET 700 MILES (PER TANK) FOR SOME REASON I FOUND THAT WHEN DRIVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS ( 75 TO 80 MPH) YOU FUEL ECONOMY DROPS TO 550 PER TANK WICH STILL IS GREAT. IN A GOOD STANDING,SHAPE AND RUNNING CONDITION THIS CAR SHOULD GIVE YOU NOTHING BUT PLEASURE TO DRIVE,THE MAINTENANCE IS NOTHING BUT OIL CHANGES,AIR FILTER AND FUEL FILTER, THIS CAR HAS NO SPARK PLUGS,IGNITION WIRES AND SOME OTHER PIECES THAT IN GAS CARS WEAR OFTEN, AS ALLWAYS TIMING BELT IS DUE AT 100K. I PERSONALLY OWN TWO OF THIS CARS A GOLF TDI AND A WAGON TDI BOTH HAVE REBUILT TITLES, MEANING THEY WERE INVOLVED ON AN ACCIDENT OR SOME SORT OF INSURANCE LOSS,THIS WAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BUY THIS CARS AT A REALLY GOOD PRICE, OFF COURSE ALLWAYS HAVING YOU CAR CHECKED BY A REPUTABLE VW SHOP AND MAKE SHURE IT WASNT A (TRAIN WREK) BEFORE PURCHASE, THAT WAY YOU ARE SAFE.IVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH MY TWO REBUILT VW TDI AND RECOMEND MY EXPERIENCE TO ANYBODY LOOKING FOR THIS GAS SAVING,MONEY SAVING,ENVIROMENTAL FRIENDLY CAR.

I love this car. I purchased a diesel vehicle so that I could run it on biodiesel fuel, and I am incredibly satisfied with my decision! The TDI is sporty without being overly zippy; it is comfortable and has a beautifully designed instrument panel and dashboard. It runs amazingly well on biodiesel, and fuel estimates are NOT exaggerated: I get an average of 40 mpg in the city, and 50 on the highway. With a small fuel tank, this car is not only environmentally friendly, it's extremely affordable! My only complaint is that the black paint on the instrument panel of my vehicle is chipped, despite the car being only 4 years old. I'd attribute this to cheap paint.

Hello friends, I would like to give some info on buying a tdi, I know nothing about gasums. I own a dealership that sells nothing but diesels car's and trucks. 1st thing these cars are great fuel economy wonderful simple little car. Performance is a surprise since it is only a 90 horse power car but high in torque. Very reliable cars if they have been taken care of. Be prepared to spend at least 500 to 800.00 dollars on one if you are a perfectionist after the buy. The Tdi's made in 1999 TO 2002 Had a timing belt that only lasted 60,000TO 80,000 miles , but after service you can upgrade to the 100,000 mile timing belt. NO UPGRADE ON THE 2004 ITS 100K ALL THE WAY. IT IS THE MOST REFINED UNIT IN ITS CLASS CHROME AROUND THE CAR AND NEW GAUGES, BUT HAS A STRONGER MOTOR 110 HP, WHICH MAKES IT LOOSE A LITTLE POWER, BUT STILL TDI POWER. If you go cheap and don't have a dealer do the service make sure you have done all rollers, clean intake from carbon, water pump since they are right there and really important do cam seal and Craftshaft seal. Some don't do this its a no no!! Make sure you find a mechanic that knows a Tdi. Trust me if you are new to diesel's a gasum lover will jack one up in a heart beat. Comfort is good with these cars as long as its one or 2 people in the car. Any more is stuffed. If you are looking for a car to do car seats for babies watch out it will be cramped and when the graduate to a larger car seat they will be kicking you in the back... time for spanking...well time out .. haha. So comfort is great for 2 any more is cramped. These cars will last a long time since they are diesel but it is key to have timing belt service and all services up. You should only use Mobil one full synthetic 5w 40 don't us any other weight or Rotella regular will clog motor and build carbon up on intake. The 5 speeds seem to get better fuel economy. When you buy a diesel you should be buying one for at least 7 years then after that it pays you to drive it. the Tdi's aren't like diesel truck its like a diesel Rolex you must up keep them to last. German craftsmanship made in Mexico. I have seen one car (tdi )with 649,000 miles on it without a rebuild on the motor. If you can settle for a small interior and up keep then this is your car. Good luck to you diesels lovers.

The fun thing is that the TDI Jettas are still manufactured in Germany, and being in the US Army, I was able to take it back home. It was amazing on the autobahn and a 12 hour trip to the south of france was great on the country back roads, and at 100mph cruising for hours on the Autobahn, and it still did better than 40 miles per gallon. The TDI's turbo is right where you need it, accelerating at highway speed. We love the car and have nearly 60K miles on it with only a few maintenance repairs. Added a new 'chip' and with the extra horsepower I have to be careful not to spin the tires.

I love my new car, it's beautiful, comfortable, it has all the bells & whistles I need/want and it gets almost 50 miles to the gallon! My husband and I are 5'6" and it has plenty of room for us, but a tall or big person may find it a little small. Not a lot of room in the back seat.
