1974 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

The seller was very inaccurate in the description of this vehicle.

I'm So Sorry I gave him a positive feedback, because he seemed nice on the phone, I got suckered because I trusted what he said and what I saw in the pictures.

This VW is/was a 1976 converted sleeper/camper with a sink, not a 1974 transporter/bus like what was listed on e-bay.

There was no mention or photos of the sink in fact it was covered over in pictures to look like a box of trash. The sink unit itself must be removed because it is unsalvageable.

Which is where most of the mouse poo was… The Smell OMG THE SMELL, was enough to re-animate the dead. This thing smelled worse than anything I've ever encountered. So he knew how bad it wreaked.

Which means everything soup to nuts must be stripped out completely for health concerns before my mechanic will even consider letting it in his shop.

This was an unexpected expense of taking out a sink from the VW, from the listed description this was completely unforeseeable.

He also might have disclosed the slider door that's busted and that all the tires are dry rotted and useless.

And the $400 dollars in parts (he claimed, but only had $50 in receipts)were hooked up wrong, or damaged buy him putting them in incorrectly, so the parts he bought and installed by ripping the engine apart and putting all kinds of original engine parts he never put back... were in a box and are completely useless.

He made mention the brakes need tinkering, no, they need to be totally replaced and were locked up frozen when we got there to pick it up.

Which he never showed up for ... I drove 3 and 1/2 hours and he leaves me a friggin note... a bogus bill of sale that I had to have him re-do... through the mail, and then I find out he had no proof of ownership, so even if I fixed everything I can't register it.

So I am now having the VW chopped up to salvage some parts out of it... but what a Rip-off.
