What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2006 Toyota Tundra: Tundra not living up to its reputation

• Overall Satisfaction:
I purchased my tundra new and owned it for about 5 months. I was very disappointed in this vehicle. It came with the I-force 4.7l v8 and automatic. Vehicle was 4 wheel drive. The tundra actually has a very nice interior. My version was the sr5 model. Seats are made of cloth. You can only get leather in the limited with a hefty price tag. Like I said the interior was nice but was very obvious at how cheap they did make it. For example at night the controls did not have lights on them so it became hard to see them. Also the rubber trim on the door jambs were not even molded in color just painted.
I had numerous mechanical issues with this vehicle. For one thing here in the mountains it could not even get out of its own way. Vehicle would down shift horribly and numerous times it redlined. Gas mileage became horrid at an average of 10mpg combined driving.
The vehicle had one major flaw to it that was part of toyotas design. when going downhill the truck would downshift itself. On several occasions it downshifted so hard that my truck slid over a few feet. Not a very good feature. I would prefer to let the vehicle coast.
Do not believe what is claimed about the towing capacity on this vehicle. It simply will not do it. I had to get rid of it becaue of this specific reason. Along with the mechanical problems.
This is a great truck for someone who wants to drive it here and there and show off. But not for someone who needs a truck to be a truck. Very disappointing from toyota. I thought that it may have just been me that had these problems but a lot of tundra owners mainly 2005 and 2006 model years are trading out of it.
I hope the do better with the 2007 year.

Good truck, rides nice and comfortable. Good price, lousy on the gas mileage end of the truck. I thought that the mileage would be better not having the four wheel drive but it isn't any better

The truck was an terrific buy. The only thing I don't like about the truck, is that you can not access the back seat from the front seat. You have to open the side door.

I love the truck because it had everything I wanted on a truck already, the heated seats, 20" rims and a bed was sprayed not to metion the leather.I decided to buy it because the price was right, every where I went they wanted more for a similar truck.
the seller was very professional, he did not try to scam me, the truck was exactly as advertised, and I would buy from him again.

This was my first buying experience with ebay. The seller was fantastic and I love the truck but I have learned a few things and want to pass on the experiences.First of all the Shipping service I tried to use was the worst run business I have ever dealt with. They lure you in promising a low price and a guarantee and immediately charge your credit card. Then after they have your money they are rude and they waited a month and a half before I got my money back. They keep telling you that they are going to pick your vehicle up and nothing ever happens. The name of the business is Express Auto Shippers.Very unprofessional and I finally had to report them to my credit card company. The truck is even better than I had envisioned. It gets decent gas mileage and is very quiet inside. It has very good power and is very well built. All the controls are very easy to get to and I love the power back window on cool mornings! The only drawback I have is it does not turn as good as my old Silverado. I see myself being a Toyota man for along time now! Another plus is the aftermarket parts for this vehicle are very plentiful.I cant see anybody going wrong on buying a Toyota. So, even with the terrible shipping company who never came through, and having to fly and pickup my vehicle it was well worth the experience!!

Previously I owned a Chevy Silverado...the seats are not as comfortable as the Chevy in the Tundra. The bed of the truck I have noticed is not completely straight to the rest of the truck...it's very slight and most would not even notice, but I see it. No mechanical issues at all. The V8 engine is very capable for towing most anything and has a real throaty sound when you punch it. The back seat in the extended cab version is basically too small for anything other than small children. Car seats are a very tight fit...go for the Double Cab if you actually plan on carrying more than 2 people on a regular basis in the truck.

I wanted a strong truck but, not necessary "full size". Reason is the largest trucks are difficult to maneuver and hard to park. They also don't handle very well.

The TUNDRA is heavy enough to pull my trailer ( 5000 lbs ) and the V8 engine is amazingly powerful. Gas mileage is 16 in town and 18 on a trip. Not fantastic but acceptable. The double wishbone suspension makes the handling very secure. Reliablity has been great so far ( as expected in a TOYOTA ).

Braking is amazing ( electronic brake assist is wonderful ).

All the features are very good too: FM, cassette, CD changer, keyless entry, lights and foglights are very powerful, comfortable seats, storage spots and cup holders everywhere.

4 X 4 on the fly is great too

That truck is the perfect size for me. It is very quiet and comfortable.

We nicknamed it lurch because it has a very touchy gas pedal. No smooth startup and great breaks. Cup holders galore and tons of little stow-away spaces for things every truck driver needs. Loved driving it for a couple of weeks as a rental. We had a four door and had plenty of room for everything.

Loved it!

Smooth ride and transmission. Nicely laid out interior. Very comfortable seats (front and rear). Power rear window is nice. Mine has front bench seat - which I like, but would have liked the Limited trim (not available with front bench). Have hauled a load in the bed and towed a trailer with no problems. Cons - 13 MPG in city and 15 highway. I'm expecting many good years from this truck.
