What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

Dislike:... I typed in Toyota Tacoma extended cab truck and got "5"... the first time when I put in Toyota Tacoma truck I got "1". You people at ebay have been screwing around with this ebay motors for quite some time now. Please fire the person, or transfer him/her to another department where he/she might be more suited. Please go back to the old format where all we had to do was type/click in the name (i.e., Toyota), then the model (i.e., Tacoma) then the year range (i.e. 1995-2003) and then the transmission, fuel, extended cab[etc.], and whatever. What you have now is pure caos and NOT very beneficial or helpful to a BUYER ! ! ! Thank you... Unkyjack

2008 Toyota Tacoma: Toyota makes good trucks!

Buying a vehicle on ebay takes somewhat a leap of faith, but I did it. There were many pix on the seller's site - he had a "pretty good" rating (somewhat a concern.) Did a Carfax check. Vehicle only 15 months old (a repo) and low mileage - but high for 15 mos (33,000 miles.) I drove a 4 Runner for 18 years and have had a string of Toyo's, so decided to depend on Toyota. Figured the owner couln't screw it up too badly in just over a year.

The one time owner was a smoker who mistreated the interior with lots of cigarette burns. There were also signs of some collision repair - unreported. The tires and wheels were a little hinky.

After going ahead with the purchase, I threw in new filters, bought two new tires, and had the brakes and underside checked and wheels aligned. Then I drove it 4100 miles home from Florida to Seattle. Ran great - good gas mileage, even sitting at 80 mph on cruise control. Gave both the A/C and the heater a big time workout on the way. (Plus 96 degrees down to 11.)

Buying new mats, headlite assy, tires etc plus had local dealer do a 30,000 mile full up check. Figure to add $1200-1500 to cost, but will wind up with a truck at about half the price of locally. I added a bunch of air fresheners the first day, and actually got rid of the smoker smell in 24 hours.

The truck is fun to drive (4 cyl - 2 WD), comfortable, and is just what I wanted. It's a little short on power climbing hills in the West, but I knew that in advance. In regular sea level driving, it passes easily. My only beef is the transmission (Auto) seems to have poorly set shift points. It also basically cannot be used driving in country with significant hills, as it wants to downshift rather abruptly to 3rd and then 2nd gears, sending the rpm's up to 5K - not good in my book. It also lacks Interval Wipers, which my 1971 Corolla had - I didn't think they made cars without them. Strange, considering it has Power Windows, Locks, and Mirrors.

With 4100 miles driving in every possible condition under my belt in the first two weeks, I can say I really got a heavy dose of experience driving this vehicle, and came to not only "like" it, but "love" it.

I have Bought my Truck new in 97, had the trd supercharger put on when they came available about a year later. This truck is amazing. I have had all my reg. maintains done on this truck. I have just turned 300,00 on this truck. Yes the engine, trans, diff, etc are all original. The only major work has been a new clutch at 275,00 miles and I have had to have the supercharger rebuit 3 times (they last about 90k before the bears have to be rebuilt). Even with trd supercharger the engine has never had a problem and still runs like new and burns no oil. These engines are amazing. The seats and ride suck, no if and or buts. But the trade off to have a truck that will go over 300k and still keep going like there in no tomorrow is again amazing and thats with it being supercharged its whole life.I have friends that have had 3 vechials to the one that I have and mines been paid off for years. So that by its self is the mazing deal, all the money saved over 10 years and lots of supercharged fun times. If you want any info on my truck, address is jespi1960@aol.com

I love my beautiful 2008 red Toyota Tacoma double cab- it is exactly what I'd been looking for. Very anxious about my first ebay vehicle purchase, but Josh Zuckerman at Toyota of Tampa Bay talked me through it. He held my hand all through the process. I presented some problems too, as I was purchasing this vehicle that was in Florida, and I live in Oregon. I arranged for an auto transport company to pickup and transport the truck to Oregon. Josh was fantastic about getting the truck detailed and ready. Then he kept in constant contact with the driver of the transport truck to be sure my Toyota was picked up as arranged. I worried about all the details, the financial/loan paperwork, the title work and registration, from another state. No problem for Toyota of Tampa Bay- they express mailed all my documents to sign with a return envelope for me to express mail back. I expected some kind of a glitch along the way and there were NONE! Everyone was so pleasant at the dealership, from Josh, to Lori who did all the paperwork, service manager who held the truck while it was waiting for transport, even the receptionist who answered the phone. It was just the best new car experience I have ever had. Communication was outstanding.

When my truck was rolled off the transport truck here in Oregon, there it was gleaming, bright red looking beautiful. It had 17 miles on it- everything absolutely perfect. It drives like a car, but has the added feature of a truck bed. I really bought it because my little BMW has no back seat for my dog. This is the prefect knock about town truck, with my husband being able to use it to move brush and logs. It's pretty too. Have not checked gas mileage yet but from what I can tell so far it looks like it gets about 20 mpg. It's very comfortable for a truck. The only thing that surprised me was HOW BIG the Tacoma has become. This is the four door version but it seems as tho the Tacoma has evolved into a much wider, more massive looking truck in general. There is more than adequate room for three passengers in back, very convenient for us in picking up family at the airport. Love all the storage, and the sound system is very nice. The driver and passenger seats very comfortable, visibility excellent. Everything works, no bugs to work out tho I've only had it for four days. I will be using mostly to drive to work. This is the fourth Toyota Tacoma truck I've owned- Toyota can do no wrong.

I cannot find a thing to complain about both the buying experience or the truck. Everything promised was delivered. I could not be more pleased. The best part is that the price I paid for the truck combined with the shipping cost of the truck was STILL $4000 less than what I would have paid for the same truck where I live. I got a great deal all the way around. This was a fantastic ebay buying experience.

2008 Toyota Tacoma: Great truck, but it's a gas guzzler!

I bought a 2008 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4X4 V6 Access Cab last November, and I am completely satisfied with it. I recently towed a 5000 lb. load over 250 miles and the truck had no problems whatsoever. My only complaint about the truck is the fact that the gas mileage isn't very good. It costs me over $75.00 to fill the tank, and I burn up the gas after driving a little more than 300 miles. But honestly now... what did I expect? If I wanted good gas mileage, I should have bough a Prius instead of a pick-up truck! If you need a high quality, reliable medium-sized pick-up truck, then this is the one for you!
