What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1995 Toyota 4Runner: Rule # 1 - Get an inspection

I purchased this vehicle sight unseen. BIG MISTAKE. Lot of rust. Seller lied about the level of rust in the ad. Once you put your money down, you end up in a position of having to forfeit it - which really complicates the decision. Any vehicle I ever buy on ebay again will have a detailed visual inspection done by someone or I won't purchase it.

1995 Toyota 4Runner: good little SUV

starts and runs well, transmission still generally sturdy, body no rust
probably will need a new clutch soon, as a routine wear item replacement after 15 years
gets 16 miles per gallon which is acceptable for the heavy 4WD transmission and oversize tires
paint is fading but complete, undercoating still mostly in place and no rust. overall it will be a candidate for a paint job within 2 years because expect the SUV to last another 10 years

the electric entry lock mechanism has failed on the driver side
the electric windows all still work but not enthusiastically and do not inspire confidence
the driver comfort level is only average as the fit is a squeeze for 5 foot 11 man 180 lbs

Sturdy reliabile vechicle that looks cool too! Even though it is over 10 years old runs and looks like new. Love all the extra's that the vechicle has like cd player, sun roof, leather interior. Toyota's rule.

My husband had just sold his gas guzzling Ram 2500 and needed something much cheaper to drive. He decided on this 1995 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl. We purchased in Feb. 2008 from the original owner and it had 68000 miles on it. The owner had only changed the oil changed through the years, replaced a radiator and starter. We we had some preventive maintenance to done on it, i.e. timing belt kit due to age, fixed a minor oil leak from valve cover, o2 sensor was replaced and needed new tires. It doesn't get as good MPG's as we thought it would, guess the technology in 1995 is lacking what is today. It doesn't have alot of power either, but we didn't buy it to go 4 wheeling. After we got everything fixed and new tires, it has been a very good vehicle thus far. We know about a possible blown head gasket issue with this model and this one was not covered by a Toyota recall. The previous owner didn't mention a head gasket problem and we haven't had a problem, we'll just wait and see. Overall it has been a good vehicle, gets us from A to B and, much cheaper to drive and operate.

Well my parents bought it for me when I was 15 from a used car dealership. It had 92,000 miles on it then, and i've been driving it for almost 2 years now, and it has been a wonderful vehicle. For a teenager, it is nice and big so if u get in a wreck there is plenty to protect you, but the 3.0 V6 makes it hard to get in trouble for going to fast lol. It can feel clunky occasionally, but in terms of reliability, starts every morning for me, even in 10 degree weather, transmission takes a while to shift into high gear when really cold, but that may not be for everyone. Fuel Mileage is a downfall, i get around 12-13 MPG, and thats a combination of about 20 Miles on highway, about 2 miles of dirt road and about 2 miles of city streets everyday. I just now had to replace the spark plugs/wires after one blew out and was shooting sparks, but it rarely needs a repair, highly recomended vehicle, amazing off road, or getting out of ditches if need be.

1995 Toyota 4Runner: A reliable and durable long-term performer

I bought a four cylinder, five speed because I'd read on the Net that the 2.3 engine was almost indestructible, while the v6 had head gasket issues. Fuel mileage was more important to me than acceleration, and the stripped-down 4Runner delivered for thirteen years and 372,000 km. It's still on its second muffler. Brake calipers and rotors lasted until 235,000 km. Power train is still fine.

Toyota replaced the tailgate under warranty in 2000 after it rusted out. The rest of the truck's been very good.

I found the 4Runner a comfortable place to spend a good chunk of each day. That's important for a commuter. It's easily the best vehicle I have ever driven on the highway in slush. Just leave it in 4WD if there's any doubt about traction. It's like a pig on ice in 2WD if it's slippery.

The truck has seen regular use as a tow vehicle, handling weights up to a 3500 pound Jeep without difficulty, despite the small engine.

My major complaint about the truck is that Toyota no longer sells a suitable replacement for it in Canada. I was forced to buy a used Tacoma on eBay and import it in order to get a 4 cylinder, five speed 4WD to do tasks similar to those my 4Runner had done for me for years.
