What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

We bought this car late last summer and are lovin every minute spent in it! It is a manual and we wouldn't have it any other way. The color is black on black. We would have never dreamed of buying a Porsche, but a friend of ours was relocating to Australia, and couldn't take it with him. So we bought it, for $15K. We just couldn't say no to the price! We just figured we would flip it in a year and make some money. After driving this car, we are sooooo keeping it! The handling is superior to any other car we have ever driven. And we have tested it, let me tell ya! We took on a winding road, and took an L curve at 50mph with absolutely no problem (except our nerves). It corners like no other! We haven't taken it to top speed, but did get it up to 120mp at only 3000 rpm! This sweet ride just keeps on giving when you push on the pedal!
We have a 65 Mustang with a 302, and we did drag it with our Boxster, and the stang did beat it off the line. However, after a few seconds, the Boxster was smoking the stang. So, off the line, these cars arent the quickest. But, they weren't designed to be that way. They were designed to accelerate quickly after starting. And boy does it!
Comfort is unbelievable. BUT, it IS a sports car. You will feel some road under you. If that is why you're buying this car, DON"T. Buy a Cadillac, and let the hardcore roadster fans spank you on the road. There is plenty of legroom. The friend we bought it from was 6'3 and he fit in it just fine. All of the accessories and storage was very well thought out. The stereo sounds pretty great! But having no rear speakers will take getting used to.
There are two trunks in front and back. I buy groceries and fit them all in fine. But for a long trip, you will have to carefully pack.
Hope this review was helpful.
If you are considering buying this car, DO IT! There is no substitute!

Per posting on Ebay “I can also pick you up from the airport if you would like to drive the car home.“ When I asked Pete, “Would I have a problem driving the car from Missouri to Ohio? No. Sounds great right.

Pete did pick me up from the airport and the car was running and everything appeared fine though I found it odd that he explained in great detail what to do if the battery went dead.

My first pit stop the car began having issues - would not restart, steering column locked up, the alarm went off. I finally got it running and had no more issues until I stopped for the night.

In the morning the key would not work and the battery was dead. After 8 hours of calls to AAA and Porsche Roadside service and several mechanics attempting to get the car going we all gave up for the night.

Monday morning the car was towed to the dealer $120, replacement of the battery with a bad cell $298. Add $65 to reset the key with a bad circuit - I only received one key plus $365 for a spare key.

Add the frustration of a dead cell phone - I could not recharge my cell phone because the car’s battery was dead.

I finally arrived home a day late and lost a day’s work.

I next drove the car to work and the brake light went on - $884 for brakes and a front end alignment and got a flat tire - add $640 for two back tires.

The total cost to get the car running $2,305. After two months I did receive a refund this week of $300 for the battery.

Per Pete this was a Dealer Certified used Porsche. Unfortunately I have trouble believing that both the battery and key went bad within 24 hours of my receipt of the vehicle.

Note that this was my second vehicle purchased on eBay. My first experience was great.

The styling of the Boxster is second to none. The S version packs enough power with it's 3.2 litre engine. A six speed transmission is a must. The only draw back are oil changes ($160.00) and 60K mile service ($799.00). Outside of that I recommend this over any other car in it's class.

The description of the car was dead on and the site was filled with pictures from every possible angle. After the purchase a was able to come to terms with them about paying and picking up the car in a matter of minutes!!! The car is exactly as described. Thank you for all your help.

A work of perfection. Form merging with function in sweet harmony. This vehicle makes you feel alive. Turns heads at every stop. The Boxster S is a performance machine far more thrill than the standard Boxster. Fuel economy is surprisingly decent at 22 in town 29 hwy. Power is at the ready with a larger 3.2 liter engine. Braking is superb. The car is simply incredible. I have never owned a vehicle that delights me so. It is a beast pumping out over 250hp and will blow away most anything it comes up against. Porsche has produced a masterpiece in this wonderful machine. Get one!
