What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I have a 2005 997 Cab. 50,000 + miles .Motor is junk- porsche wants $19,500 for replacement. No company help because it is out of warrenty. Most interesting, porsche dealer would never considering overhauling it- why?? because - quote " new one's eat motors from factory with hardly any miles on them"! How do you expect us to put one together any better than the factory ?? I also have a boxter S I purchased new in 2002. It ate a motor under warrenty with 10,000 miles the second month I owned it. That was replaced free of charge- Then ate a motor at 125,000 mile. Can't get different sized bearings for a boxes S motor to overhaul it. I then put a 15,000 mile junkyard motor in the boxter . I now have 152,000 miles on the boxter S.
A 997 is way overpriced and unrepairable.

I really like this New Generation Carrera. The updated styling of the rounded headlights and more angled front bumper looks great. The interior is slightly more refined than the 99-04 versions and the car is definitely quieter and Porsche finally figured out how to put a decent sounding stereo system in the car. The upgraded Bose system is good, but not great yet. The car is tight, sounds great, looks great with quick acceleration and with the new refinements makes it more easily justified as a daily driver.

It really handles like a sport car - good feel of the road, great brakes, and acceleration. The ride is very harsh, and the cabin in noisy. I bought it because I love to have a car that is a true sports car.

I decided to purchase this vehicle because it was highly optioned, extremely high performance car, reliability, quality craftsmanship and Porsche's history.

I love the way the car handles, the braking system is second to none, and it is very comfortable for this type of sports car.
