1955 Pontiac Safari

This seller is a typical "horse trader" car dealer. He says the car is all there, points out 2 or 3 small things wrong, says the rest is fine and operational.
My fault for being a trusting man and probably too gullible. After the paper work was signed "AS IS" was included I left to drive this car 14 hours away which is home. Found none of the dash lights worked, no windshield wipers either.
To further complicate matters, the passenger rear tire blew less than 5 miles from where I bought it, 6:30 at night, side of the road stranded. After MUCH persuasion he sent a AAA tow to take the car to a "friends" place which was safe to store it at.
I paid to ship her at that point from Az. to Ca., took the "blown tire" to a shop to find out the tires are tubeless, and the inner tube was possibly with the wrong size valve stem, hard to say as it wasn't there.
eBay is a great site full of myriads of purchasing possibilities and WONDERFUL sellers who are scrupulous, forthright and caring, this was NOT one of those sellers. My mistake really for being a trusting man.
The car is very pretty and indeed stands out, many commented when I was filling her up for the trip on how "pretty it is". For the most part it's all there and hopefully I will get over the initial aggravation of deceit and problems with it and be able to enjoy it for it's nostalgic grace and fluid lines.
