What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

I bid this car off because I really liked the car, When I called to set up a day to pick it up,I was told it was a race car at one time. I was told the heater was missing, there were bad paint in some places and the battery was mounted in the trunk. This was not disclosed on his listing or I would not have bid what I did. I asked if he would cut the price enough to fix these problems. The answer was NO. He told me if I didn't want it for that price it was no problem. But my question is why did he not disclose these problems in his listing. It would have saved me and others some time.

The car was sold as a soild running car. The car ran for one hour before the piston shot through the block. The car was missing a ton of parts also. Be very careful on making large purchances on ebay there are a ton of con artists out there

For those of you that know the true legends "Arnie The farmer" Beswick , The God Father of The GTO "Jim Wangers" and Mr. Royal Bobcat "Milt Schornack" then you certainly know these guys put the GTO where it is today. are we Lucky or Blessed ? that the GrandDaddy of all was the (Great one ) "John Delorean" who deserves all the credit for a design that smybolized a generation of new, younger & the more affuent drivers with a need for speed with the slick sporty body style known today as
(Gran Turismo Omologato) "GTO" The "first muscle car". which by the way i currently own and have had since 1972 that still looks like it did when it was purchased as a used 5 year old grocery store beater yeap for $950.00 bucks i am infact the second owner to this all original, numbers matching 4 speed 400 HP with optional 390 quick ratio rearend. If you love the roar of the Tiger as i do then you surely know why the GTO is still the most fougth after car today.John Delorean got it right when he designed the GTO's in the 60's. For me those are and will always be the Good Old Days . So, with that said whenever i feel the need to revisit my youth i simply walk to the garage lift off the cover, polish her chrome , turn on the radio listening to the oldies and take her cruseing for thats what Made in America is all about.

My brother had a '66 convertible with 289 sixpack and 4 speed about 1971. I liked it so much and bought a '67 convertible in 1973 with 400, quadrajet carb and Turbo400 automatic. Light blue and looked just like the "I Dream of Jeanie" car. We both sold these when we went to college. darn! Wish I had the 4 speed, but I put a shift kit in it and it was still a fun car. Plus with the AT you could go in reverse, and slam it into drive and lay a nice black "J" on the road. After I put headers on it, I could beat about anyone in the 1/4 mile including a '69 GTO. At the time, my parents had a '68 Caddy convertible, and I saw many similarities in the build quality, including the final exhaust silencers. I also put airshocks on mine, and my mom told me it looked like a cat in heat! Good times!

I like the styling changes that happened to the GTO for the model year 1967. The front grille was changed to a chrome wire mesh. The side rocker chrome trim was widened and the fender emblem was moved onto it. While perusing about 2,000 photos of '67 GTOs on UltimateGTO.com, I realized that this was the car for me. In case you want to research some pics of the typical '67 trim, here is a URL to the '67 photo gallery at UltimateGTO.com/1967cars1.htm

Don't let my rating above fool you...this car is a lot of fun. But those considering ownership should note that driving a car 40 yrs old is a lot different than a modern vehicle. Steering is overpowered, or w/o PS it's hardly precise. Suspension is floaty and it'll lean into a turn. The bucket seats only go up mid-way my back and there's only lap belts. It'll require a bit of distance to make this car stop since most have drum braeks. But that's not what these cars are about. They have gobs of torque and are fairly light (3600lbs)...that means when you push the loud pedal hard, you go NOW or can easily light up the rear end in a flash of smoke. There aren't too many of these running around so you get noticed if it's in decent condition.

Mine? 49k original miles, dk blue w/ white interior. Unmolested and nearly fault free (small rust in one place in trunk, one blemish on paint). 4bbl, 4spd, ~3.90:1 rear, manual brakes & steering w/o A/C. AM radio. Yeah...it's pretty plain. It's so original I just replaced the ply bias tires and it still has the original aerodynamic antenna, books, spare & jack. I bought it about 13 years ago for ~$6k in SoCal and have seen the prices for these, especially if unmolested or nicely restored, go nuts in the past few years. Wife suggests I sell it and put the $ into something else...no way! How could I replace my '67 GTO?
