What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2006 Pontiac G6: Aggressive Styling, Great Options Draw Compliments

I bought a red 2006 Pontiac G6 GT coupe in February 2006. I have enjoyed this car tremendously. I compared it to the Monte Carlo, which I felt was stripped compared to the G6 even though it cost more.

The only differences between the top-of-the-line GTP model and my GT model are the GTP has a 3.9L engine vs. my 3.5L, and the GTP has a more sophisticated traction control system.

I feel the car was a good buy for the money with the option package I got, which included a 6-CD changer, 3 months free XM, leather interior, power sunroof, heated seats, 17" chrome alloy wheels, and a remote starter.

It has good storage capacity as the back seats fold down.

The car gets me so many compliments. People frequently stop me in the parking lot and ask what it is and how I like it. A red one like mine is sure to draw looks if you keep it looking sharp.

On the down side, it is very difficult to get into the back seat, although once you're in it's comfortable for two large adults. If this is a problem, consider the sedan.

I also do not like the traction control. Several times I have spun the tires trying to start quickly from a stop. It will hydroplane if you try to start quickly from a stop when the pavement is wet.

Also, there is a recall out on it already — something about the sunroof; I haven't taken mine in to be fixed yet as I just received the notice a few days ago.

I actually chose my particular car on the Internet, since Pontiac has all of their window stickers online, so you can see each dealer's stock and price.

Overall, this car is fun to drive and comfortable for long commutes. I find the aggressive styling very attractive, and love the compliments I get!

It has adequate power, great handling with optional 17 inch tires and is very comfortable for taller people. Good rear seat space for a smaller car. The styling is a hit with all the younger generation.

This car has been a great surprise. At 65,000 miles, it performs every bit as well as my girlfriend's G-6 with 35,000 miles on it. It looks great, gets 34 mpg on the highway (with the 3.5L V-6), 24-plus in town, and is completely rattle-free. Everything in the car works like new...in fact, you'd be hard put to find anything wrong with the car except for a very small scratch on the left rear door and a few ticks in the front from gravel. It corners and accelerates at least as well as the car magazines say it does. Can't say enough about the car--drove it 2200 miles right after buying it and found it a very good cross-country vehicle. It now has 4000 miles on it since I bought it and has yet to burn any oil...pretty good testimony at this mileage.

Even with twice the miles on it of another 2006 vehicle, the steering is extremely tight, showing no sloppiness. The suspension is as good as the low-mileage 2005 I've driven. The CD-player works like new; the radio performs as well as any. It's got a really fine stereo (stock). I'd compare the stereo with almost anything available today. The subwoofer is really effective in bringing out the bass notes.

The car continually gets compliments from others for its appearance. This car has tinted windows (came from Arizona), which keeps the interior cooler in the summer.

The car isn't the GT with all the higher-end options, it's a "V-6" G-6, which means it's got the manual seats and don't have the steering wheel controls for the stereo, which the girlfriend's G-6 has. Can't say I miss these options, since I've got the auto-start, the same door locks, the automatic headlights, and a bunch of other stock features one wouldn't have found on a basic car only a few years ago. Another interesting thing is, at this many miles and as often as a driver has been in-and-out of this car, the seats and interior show absolutely no wear at all (with cloth seats!). This car looks as good inside as the day it left the factory...no kidding.

There's not a thing I don't like about this car, though the girlfriend's G-6 has the panoramic sunroof making the rear seats a little low for tall people...mine has no sunroof and is roomy for everyone. And, judging from the number of G-6's running around our town, I'd guess others are finding it to be as good as I have. I'd challenge anyone to find a better Toyota or Honda...you can't go wrong buying a G-6.

To start off with... I LOVE THIS CAR! I feel like everyone is looking at me when I'm driving it. Its GREAT! My car is a 2006 4cyl. 2.4 liter. The 4cyl. is one thing that I would stay away from in this car. They claim to get great gas, which they probably do... if you drive LIKE AN OLD LADY! I drive... not wrecklessly... but when i take off, I want to GO! The four cylander goes... but you really have to give it the gas in order for it to do so... which sucks the gas. The Inline-four cylander also is WHINY. Very pansy sounding engine wind. But... other than the engine the car is great. The inside is very sporty, and I like to drive it at night because of the very cool red dash lights. It has an exceptionally large trunk for a smaller sedan. I fit four golf bags/golf clubs in the trunk with no problem (and my subs are in the trunk too!)ONE WORD: GREAT!

This is one great car. I had purchased mine new in may of 06 and have not had to take it too the dealer for anything except regular maint. After owning 3 cadillacs in a row I wanted a change, something sporty, and have always loved convertables, but living in the Chicago area the winters are brutal. The retractable hardtop is great. The car is warm and quiet unlike the regular vinyl tops. I have a black with taupe interior and trust me it's a real head turner, never have I received so many compliments, If I were to replace it I would purchase another exactly like it.
