This car has been a great surprise. At 65,000 miles, it performs every bit as well as my girlfriend's G-6 with 35,000 miles on it. It looks great, gets 34 mpg on the highway (with the 3.5L V-6), 24-plus in town, and is completely rattle-free. Everything in the car works like new...in fact, you'd be hard put to find anything wrong with the car except for a very small scratch on the left rear door and a few ticks in the front from gravel. It corners and accelerates at least as well as the car magazines say it does. Can't say enough about the car--drove it 2200 miles right after buying it and found it a very good cross-country vehicle. It now has 4000 miles on it since I bought it and has yet to burn any oil...pretty good testimony at this mileage.
Even with twice the miles on it of another 2006 vehicle, the steering is extremely tight, showing no sloppiness. The suspension is as good as the low-mileage 2005 I've driven. The CD-player works like new; the radio performs as well as any. It's got a really fine stereo (stock). I'd compare the stereo with almost anything available today. The subwoofer is really effective in bringing out the bass notes.
The car continually gets compliments from others for its appearance. This car has tinted windows (came from Arizona), which keeps the interior cooler in the summer.
The car isn't the GT with all the higher-end options, it's a "V-6" G-6, which means it's got the manual seats and don't have the steering wheel controls for the stereo, which the girlfriend's G-6 has. Can't say I miss these options, since I've got the auto-start, the same door locks, the automatic headlights, and a bunch of other stock features one wouldn't have found on a basic car only a few years ago. Another interesting thing is, at this many miles and as often as a driver has been in-and-out of this car, the seats and interior show absolutely no wear at all (with cloth seats!). This car looks as good inside as the day it left the factory...no kidding.
There's not a thing I don't like about this car, though the girlfriend's G-6 has the panoramic sunroof making the rear seats a little low for tall people...mine has no sunroof and is roomy for everyone. And, judging from the number of G-6's running around our town, I'd guess others are finding it to be as good as I have. I'd challenge anyone to find a better Toyota or Honda...you can't go wrong buying a G-6.
