1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT: 92 3000gt VR-4 Twin Turbo

This is a review over the 92' Twin Turbo 3000GT/Stealth
When I turned 16 back in 04, I was looking for a car for school. I really didn't know any names, makes, or models. One day I spotted a very nice sexy sports car and asked my friend what it was.
Enter the 3000GT, from that moment on I knew what I wanted. I bought a 93 3000gt SL but I wasn't satisfied. I totaled the SL and had to find a new car. After years of searching I finnally found a Vr4!
What I like... Obviously the Twin turbos, very fast spooling, very strong low end power. The amazing handling with the AWD. All the availabe options available for any car of that year. I soon found that my VR4 was a completely different car from the SL I had owned before.
*It didn't burn as many tires as the SL
*It was ALOT faster and pulled ALOT harder
*Handling is WAY better than the FWD model
*It comes with BIGGER BRAKES, BIGGER RIMS/TIRES, Leather, Power Seat, CD, Premium sound
*I had NO PROBLEMS with my Tranny or Transfer Case whatsoever, I found out later I had a rare 92' with the 25 spline instead of the 18 spline xfer case/output shaft
*$1000 of mods to make it a 400HP car(Intake,MBC,DP,catback)
What I disliked.
*When the turbos die, it's enough to make a grown man cry, better find $1500+ for repairs.
*Stupid stuff like active aero... It doesnt make a difference
*4 wheel steering is useless
*Mitsu doesn;t even support their flagship car!
What I Hated.
*I lost 3 tires and ended up buying a new set of KUHMOs for about 600$.
*CV Joints went out 3 months after buying(happend to my SL also)
*$500 to get a simple tune up.
*Even with a few but good after market(Thanks to 3SX, Dynamic Racing, DNP), the price for upgrades were still expensive
*Stock parts a very expensive and maintenece is VERY HIGH
My conclusion: You can't get better bang for the buck. Unless you have 25k to buy a Supra TT, the 3000GT VR-4 is the next best thing. Hell, you can buy a 1000HP Vr-4 for 17 grand! If you are looking for a 3000gt, don't settle for a base or Sl, go for the monster of the family!
Body Styling- 10/10, great, sleek, Ferrari-style exterior, JUST BEAUTIFUL
Interior- 7/10 good but not great, many of the options stop working too soon
Handling-10/10 for a nearly 2 ton whale the thing is quite nimble
Performance-10/10!!! This is WHY you buy a VR-4, 300-320HP Stock! Launches hard, believe it or not this 2 Ton monster 0-60's in about 5 seconds!
Reliablity-6/10...Well its a Mitsu, nuff' said
