Personally, I am a Jeep fan, we have a 1942 Willys MB Jeep, a 2002 Jeep Cherokee, a 2001 Land Rover Disco II, and a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis in the family. But I must say, the Grand Marquis, (Crown Vic), models have got to be one of the finest, and safest, automobile series that has ever been built! (These cars rival any front-wheeler dogs out there).
Our Grand Marquis is extremely comfortable, smooth riding, very stable on the highway. We use it for weekend trips and it consistently measures 27 MPG on the road, and 15-17 MPG around town. The engine and drive-train are superior and reliable, there is plenty of room for a family of 3-4 for weekenders. We have had this car for seven years, (at 83K miles), and I can't find anything to complain about, this is real value!! This car is for any serious driver that needs reliability, safety, smooth ride, and economy. If you buy one, I suggest you have a set of Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks installed and this car will drive circles around any thing out there, I do not believe you will be disappointed with the performance this car will give you. Good shopping, and great driving! (I am not a salesman).
