2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

I bought this vehicle since I needed a second vehicle with 4 wheel drive and this time around I wanted a little comfort too. I looked at many vehicles and bid on dozens to no avail. When this one showed up it had no reserve and for once i thought I had a chance. The irony was that when I bid on it, the auction end date coinincided with a trip I was making to the Great Wall of China so I never figured I would have a chance to bid in the final minute. I set an alert to text my cell phone but I wasn't sure I would even get it in that location. As I bought my ticket for the site, my text went off saying I was outbid. It said i could rebid with a retun text. I sent one and it came back since I used the wrong format. I sent a second and didn't hear anything more. I assumed I did not get it. When I got back to my hotel room, I logged onto EBAY and sure enough I got it. I was able to make my deposit from Beijing. When I got back from China, I got a plane ticket to New York, cabbed over to New jersey and drove the car home to Ohio. Very happy what I have for the price I paid. The car came with two sets of wheels. Custom rims which rode hard in my opion. I put back on the factory rims and tires which were like brand new and much happier with ride.

I love it because I feel it is the safest vehicle that I can put my family in. Electronic Stability Control, REAL roof crush protection, all the Airbags, Emergency Brake Assist, and over 100 years of a FOCUS on Safety!!

I dislike the little plasticky parts that break, ie, cupholders, driver seat side trim, mirror adjust knob, rear window side trim pieces (losing it's clearcoat), rear air vents.

The performance is very smooth and reasonable fuel economy for an AWD V6. The AWD system is EXCEPTIONAL in ANY conditions. I have had this thing in complete mud with steep inclines while raining and never had a problem up or down mountains. It will find traction in the steepest of conditions. And no levers to shift!! My wife loves the security of the vehicle.

Excellent sound system with a so so AC system...ok for front passengers but less so for rear.
