2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This person would not take my calls or respond to my emails so I stopped payment. I am having American Express take a close look at this and if need be the police. This is the type of thing that gives the ebay site a bad name if needed I will see this go to the highest level possiable

I always buy mercedes since they are the best and they keep their value on the market. My customers here in South America do order mercedes benz because of the price and because they know they will have a car that will last too many years to come and they don`t brake down on you.

Nice car and nice sellers but somehow it has been some problems with paper work. Car not on my name yet, due to mistakes with paper work? I have not get licence plates yet. Temporary licence plate is about to expire. I am very concern with this delay.

seller "bestpreownedcars" sells complete junk. The vehicle looks great on the pictures but in reality is completely missrepresented and is dead for its miles.

This is my third Mercedes and probably the best one I have owned. Granted I bought it with 86k miles on it and it now has 125k - I have spent a ton of time in it. There have been a few problems with it though; a PSE module went out (controls the cd changer, integrated cell phone, and tele aid system), the dryer on the AC needed to be replaced, and the gear shift assembly (after someone spilled sweet tea on the console) had to be replaced. Even though it is 8 years old, the interior is in excellent shape and looks better then most cars I have seen with less mileage and that were newer. I have the E320 and it has adequate power and the handling is not too floaty nor harsh. It has a very good balance for aggressive driving but also for highway cruising. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this vehicle and hope to keep it for awhile! I am an avid Mercedes person and will always drive a Benz. They have gotten a bad rep lately for reliablity but one cannot expect a car that is so technologically advanced for it's time to be problem free. Think about it - Mercedes Benz has been the automotive pioneers for more then 100 years! What is available on cars today has been available on Mercedes 10-20 years ago. They pioneered the first engine; the first crumple zone; the first airbag; the first traction control system; the first to offer 8 airbags; the first to offer pre-Safe; and the first to offer many other things including the Keyless go and SmartKey systems. Lexus can only dream of being as original and innovative as Mercedes Benz! When buying a luxury car, buy a real one - not an overpriced Toyota, Nissan, or Honda.

I bought this car and I got a piece of junk instead. This had been the worst experince in my car buying history. The seller lied and lied and then lied. Very fradualent. I bought a total loss car that is totally unsafe to drive. i wonder how ebay allows such fruadualent and dishonest people do bussiness on their site.

Bought used in Jan 2006 with 56K at the end of the certified preowned period. I am third owner. Car has 77K now and only problem for me was the mass air flow had to be replaced at 74K, which to MB forum is about the time the MAF goes out. This car (E55 AMG with the Designo Silver package) still looks hot even though 8 years old. Ride is comfortable due to multi pneumatic setting nappa leather perforated seats. Power is really strong due to 349 HP and the near 400 hp of torque. Steering is responsive and lots of fun to drive through the twisties. So much hi tech and quality in this car. One disappointment is the AM radio band in the combined am/fm/cd/navi unit. These cars, referring to the E55, are rare as only 500 were made each year (1999 to 2002) and for my car (Silver Designo edition) even rarer since only 250 Designo editions were put together for all body styles each year. Lastly, look at the rediculously low prices that these future collectibles are selling for now (2008) and you can't go wrong with a well maintained example. Get the car history (use VIN) from a MB service dept, from the seller (receipts), carfax and have a mechanic check it out. Lastly, keep it as original as you can. Drive it-enjoy it-maintain-it and watch-it eventually start to reappreciate. Hope this helps.
