I worked the car business for nearly ten years and this is my first Mercedes Benz purchase. I have been partial to Japanese cars in the past but this deal came along and I could pass it up. My likes: handling (like a sports car, sticks to road like glue), comfort (firm leather seats are very comfortable for the long haul, very ergonomic), features(tons of bells and whistles to keep the most tech savvy person occupied including a laser key...love this), appearance (the car is lovely, gorgeous lines, superior paint job), safety ( number one reason I bought this car was to protect my children in the event of a crash, car is built with an internal roll cage, can't get much better than that) performance (not bad for a c320, I wouldn't want a smaller engine in this relatively heavy wagon, the acceleration wouldn't be what I personal would expect when stepping on the gas) Dislikes: Costly maintenance (oil change is over $100 +positive note+ oil change lasts 10K+ but other maintenance like flushing fluids, key replacement are costly. Size ( not nearly as big as I would have liked) Convenience (cup holders...engineers did not think this one out very well, has 4 holds that all are poorly made and cheesy. Hatch does not automatically open..disappointing. Poor car seat install options with taunue cover. Driver side, back seat, car seat tether must be attached OVER the cover system. I am not an engineer, but this does not seem at all safe or wise to me. Had to buy new car seats w/ different manufacturer just to have two car seats fit properly. Gas mileage (not that great considering car runs on premium (about 18 mpg), insurance costs, I get a great rate and have no accidents and my premium went up $10 a month from driving a newer Toyota Sienna XLE. My guess is cost of repairs made this jump up. Lastly, I recommend buying a FULL COMPREHENSIVE EXTENDED WARRANTY not just a powertrain warranty. An alternator will run you $800!!!! Heated seat sensor $640!!! Warranty will in essence pay for itself. Overall I like this car thus far, can't say that I am happy about the few EXPENSIVE shop visits, but I am chalking that up to having a used car vs a new one.
