I was looking for a small car to get around in, when gas prices were at nearly $5.00. I this was definitly the solution. The small Mazda Miata allows me to park in the smallest of spaces. I love the way it runs and the comfort.

This is a sound, good running little car that will save a ton on gas. It's a bit tight getting in and out of it, but once your in it's fine and fairly comfortable. The hard top is an added bonus on this car. It makes for a quiet and more comfortable ride in the off season. Overall this is a excellent vehicle and we look forward to years of enjoyment.

My wife and I bought a red 92 Miata with 72,000 miles in 2007. We had to fix up some things, and replaced the oversized tire/wheels with stock ones. We started taking it on weekend trips. This has been the most fun car we have ever had. Riding on the back roads of Kentucky with the top down in the summer and fall is pretty cheap entertainment. The Miata is built like a tank, and handles like a slot car. It gets almost 30 MPG, and has plenty of pick up for a little 4 cylinder. The insurance is especially cheap. We paid $3,600 and put about $2,000 in it, and it has been worth every penny. It is not great for rides over 2 hours, but you will not be disappointed for a run about and fun, reliable car.

UPDATE; Sep 09, We did not drive Miata last summer, as we moved and had too many projects. This spring I changed timing belt, dressed up engine, replaced belts and hoses, spark plugs and wires and advanced timing. Runs even better. Also fixed all dents and did body work and had friend paint it for $1,000. Added new style tail lights and clear front turns. Took on a recent road trip and got 34 MPG! Car still amazes me, and my wife and I have great times on back road drives in Kentucky. Still seems like a great bargain and would highly recommend a used Miata

I discovered this vehicle while browsing. From the pictures, I knew I had to bid. Because the bidding was closing relatively late in the evening, I didn't know I had won until the next morning.
The seller was close by and very amenable to a quick transaction. An examination of the car at the sellers home showed it to be "as advertised." I've had the Miata for a couple of months now and have had a ball with it. The EBay car buying process has been painless and without regreT. Many thanks to EBay and a terrific seller.

The 1.6 liter Miata is a true classic. I have owned Porsches, Alfa Romeos, two Ferraris and a few Lotus cars. I wasn't looking for a Miata but my aunt had a very low milelage example for sale. Turns out that not only is it an excellent sports car, but an excellent daily driver as well. I owned the original Lotus Elan (a 1963) and this car reminds me of a reliable Elan. No wonder as it is known that Mazda studied the original Elan very closely when developing the Miata. I would recommend the 1.6 liter car now: get one while they are under 7500.00 because there isn't anything in the price range that can touch them. I believe the prices for good examples will continue to slowly climb, much like the Datsun 240z.
