1998 Lincoln Town Car

I purchased the 1998 limo that is now relisted on Ebay. Seller told me after I won no reserve Auction that he could not sell as he had a higher offer on the vehicle outside of ebay. He lied he relisted the vehicle and did not want to sell the car for the max winning bid of $3350.00 You will get taken by this seller dont waste your time bidding. I am sure the car is completely misrepresented aswell if you were to see limo in person. People like this seller should not be on Ebay. He also bids the vehicle up with family and friends his auctions are bogus dont waste your time. I am currently working with ebay to have this seller removed from the ebay community. He has violated many terms and conditions of selling on ebay and I am very unhappy about this. Do Not waste your time or money with this seller. Not a good experience.

The car has been great, and can not say enough about the dealer. They were fantastic and went out of their way to make the deal as easy as possible.

The car had been in an accident. (This wasn't in the description) Nor was the fact that the first buyer declined the sale due to the fact that it was overheating. When confronted with these problems he merely called the lady a liar and that I was secretly working against him. The man is whacko and should be removed from Ebay permanently but instead he just changes his name and continues selling. Check his negative feedback he's had under his 2 names you'll find that they're similiar.

Seller stated he would have it corrected but again listed the wrong mileage again leaving major problems if I ever need to resell it. Seller stated he understood problem and would refund money but wanted to wait until he resold the vehicle. Title problem was not my fault so I do not beleive I should have to wait. I payed him immediately after the auction closed. I could not wait for him to resell and had to report him to Paypal. Month later and still waiting for my money.

I decided to buy this vehicle to get in the limo service. I took the author of the auction and gave more credibility than I should have. If you are looking to buy a similar vehicle, I suggest you go look out it. If not get photos of the underneath, inside and outside of the vehicle. I ran a report on this vehicle before I bought it and did not see any problems. The problems come from the photos of this vehicle being from an earlier time frame and did not depict this vehicle in its current state. This vehicle needed alot more than what was eluded to in the auction. Go look at your vehicle before buying.

First of all, I am a fan of the Lincoln car and enjoy the luxury ride. I was impressed by the pictures of this 1998 Lincoln Town Car posted on ebay. After all, it was red with a white carriage top and an over abundant supply of chrome! As well, it sported charcoal grey leather interior. I was exstatic when I learned that I was top bidder and ultimately had won this car. Was it too good to be true? As it turned out, the car was in great shape and with a little fixing here and there, I have a car that I am very proud to drive. The seller was more than helpful faxing the necessary papers to the US border, etc. His description of the car was a very honest assessment. In short, I am extremely pleased with my first ebay big-ticket purchase. This is a Florida car and is experiencing its first wild winter up here in the great white north. Needless to say, having it undercoated was extremely important. Because it is a luxury car, I keep it in the garage and drive it only on 'nice' days...that is, on days when the visiblity is more than 20 feet because of the driving snow! Being a Florida car, it is sitting in the garage right now in a state of shock! Can hardly wait for spring.

Still a rear wheel drive fairly simple car. Being rear wheel drive its not so good in the winter.
Parts are reasonalbly priced and mechanical knowledge is readaly available. I have owned ten or so of these cars and have been very happy with the cars overall. Properly maintained they will provide at least two hundred thousand miles of trouble free service. Here are some of the problems that have not been addressed by ford: In 1998 they went to a coil pack ignition system that will give you trouble over the life of the vehicle. The 2002 and up cars seem to be better than the 98 to 01. As early as fifty thousand miles of service and they begin going bad. And they are a regluar maintenence item from then on. The fresh air intake for the heat and ac system leaks whater on the passenger floor on many of the towncars. The repair is fairly simple and takes about an hour. Overall a pleasure to own and drive. I use these cars in a livery service so my experiance is with lots of hiway miles over a short period of time. But for a personal car I would not hesitate to buy a high milage towncar. I sold to a friend a 1998 with 250 thousand miles on it two years ago and he has put twenty five thousand more miles on it and has had no real problems with the car.
