What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: 2 grand cherokees limited v8's 2001s

Well having owned 2 other limited 99s v8 4x4s before, I do like them and I have 2 2001s now, one 4x4 other 2x4 both v8s. 2x4 is a rocket & easier steering, the 4x4 is a great one, I tow a boat 5,55lbs and no problems. All v8 4.7s are Mercedes Benz engines, if not abused & taken care they will run for the life of the car(tough v8s). One thing that have broken is the window mechanisms and on ebay $60 vs. dealer $120 (they last 4-5 years only on both jeeps). I have 95K miles on the 4x4 and 2x4 54K miles. The a/c is ice cold for both, in one I have the lake effect(water in condenser container and $$ to fix correctly), it drains too slow for amount of humidity produced. Look out for that if buying a second had jeep, and on the 4x4 take it up to 75-80 for 30 seconds, if small whistle noise in front transmission, then have it checked out, otherwise these Jeeps are a class act and they are a real good vehicle. The milage is great if not pushed too hard and the power is awsome for towing as well as quickness from a 4.7liter. I upgraded the Rear anti-sway bars on both jeeps to 1.25" from a stock 1/2". The difference is great for cornering and safety (addco makes them). So thumbs up if you get a good used jeep and get it checked out by a dealer. I like mine and recomend them. Not expensive for 4.7 liter power with luxury. The Japs 4x4s are pricey. Good for hwy, and trails, not the best on city for economy and a little bouncy ride but a tough truck and not too many things can go wrong on these things when cared for.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: A fun Jeep!

My parents own a 1995 2X4 Grand Cherokee, and though it had a rough ride and inconsistent build quality (the front dash creaks and rattles) it was a lot of fun to drive. It was our family workhorse and they put 172,000 miles on it. I even took it off road several times (but not climbing any rocky trails though!). It's toughness convinced me to get my own, and I bought a 2001 2X4 Grand Cherokee Laredo two years ago with 78,000 miles on it in good shape. I had to replace a cracked tail light, new hood struts and get the transmission overhauled but whoever had it before me took very good care of it. I don't have a family (yet), but I use mine for hauling around friends on the weekends, for business and its a great vehicle for long trips. I have heard the 2001 was a bad year for Jeep quality but that must be rumors. This is the "tightest" vehicle I have ever owned.

It's as Jeep listened to whoever owned a 1991-1998 Grand Cherokee and improved or fixed all those problems the first generation GC had. The ride is much smoother, the interior is more luxurious (I have the optional power leather seats - very conformable) and the classic 4.0 I-6 has a little more power. If you run the AC all the time and drive in stop-start city traffic expect your gas millage to average around 16-20 mpg. (BTW this is par for the course for this size of all SUV's - all brands) On the highway the "instant gas millage" meter tells me 20-27 mpg which is good for a SUV. The 4.0 six has loads and loads of low end torque but makes a lot of noise and starts running out of power revving at high RPM's. It's just not a sports car engine and prefers lugging the Jeep along.

The Infinity Sound CD stereo is the best sounding stock system I've ever heard and the long distance range of the FM tuner is outstanding. I love the behind the steering wheel volume and tuner controls. The air conditioning can get freezer cold in 100 degree temperatures, something you need in the southwest.

I like the size, its not too big like an Explorer or the new Grand Cherokee, but not too small like the Liberty or Escape. With it's quick car-like steering it's easy and fun to whip in and out of traffic and park. I don't know if I will ever get a 2005+ Grand Cherokee because its larger and I have heard the one that will replace the current model in a few years will be even bigger. I am thinking of looking for a 2001-4 V-8 2X4 model if I can ever find one in great shape, and giving mine to my parents to replace their 1995. The Grand Cherokee is a great Jeep and a really fun SUV!

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Excellent Value For the Money

This is the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, however, it is loaded with the Limited edition options, a rarity in the Jeep marketplace. Leather, electric seats, V-8 motor, tow package, alloy 17" wheels, Infinity sound system, power accessories, electric sun/moon roof--this Jeep is a wonderful buy! Purchased with 80,000 original miles, garage kept and rarely if ever used in off-roading, this vehicle provides plenty of power for freeway driving and off road exploring, while providing 20-23 mpg on the highway. It seats 4 comfortably, and has plenty of cargo space for the weekend explorer's luggage or golf clubs. Acceleration is quick and shifting through the 5 speeds is smooth and comfortable, without the lurching found in some of the earlier years' 4-speed auto transmission models. While many of these grand Cherokees were traded in during the Cash For Clunkers Program, it remains the perfect vehicle for maintaining our ranch, and getting into the city, and many can still be found at very reasonable pricing. they are built tough, have good ground clearance, and it's not uncommon to find many on the road today with 150,000 + miles on them and still going strong. A good value for the money vehicle in my opinion.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Great Vehicle, Fantastic Jeep

Performance is fantastic for a straight 6 with 135000 miles on it and on par with new. More than adequate to motor around comfortably, quickly and safely. Clearly does not perform like a V8 though. Quadra-Trac II transfer case and trans work smothly and without hesitation. Suspension and ride are fantastic for a live axle front and rear! Low range gets the jobe done!!!!! One of the last great Jeeps before Chrysler really went down the wrong path with Daimler!

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee: I am SOO jealous of my wife's 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee!

As the former owner of a piece of crap 2000 Chevy Blazer,,,,,I am totally envious of my wife's 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Bought from a little old lady from Asbury Park, N.J. , this vehicle is a dream to own!!
The 4.0 engine is a little powerhouse that is fully capable of 200k+ miles if well cared for!
The fabric seats are soooo comfortable and the A/C/ is ice cold.

I am now in the market for a truck just like hers!

I am using her truck as the LITMUS PAPER to judge all prospective Jeeps that come my way.
I should be as blessed as her to find a truck that good!!
I use LUCAS gas treatment as well as Lucas Oil Treatment and the truck LOVES it!!
I take good care of her truck as if it were mine (I WISH!!!)

Just get one and have some fun!!

This vehicle handles and rides very comfortably.
It was well maintained and very clean when delivered. For a 2001 Grand Cherokee w/ 128,000 miles, It gets good fuel mileage (16 around town) and is comfortable to ride in. This is our second Grand Cherokee and we are very pleased with both vehicles. I compared similar vehicles with prices on E-Bay and decided to go for this one, the price was way below local dealer pricing. The only thing I found wrong was a spot in the paint about the size of a quarter on the hood. a factory defect. .

Overall a great vehicle for the money. My 2001 grand cheokee limited has treated me well. I bought it 3 years ago with 60k on it it now has 90k. It has been very reliable with very little needed other than regular maintenance. It is smooth riding with plenty of luxury and creature comforts. The heated leather seats are so soft and comfortable for long drives. The engine 4.7 V8 is smooth and very powerful. It is a relaxed highway cruiser. It also is great for towing. I am very happy with my jeep and I plan to eep it for many more years to come. Not to mention it still looks as nice as when I bought it 3 years ago it has held up very well. Highly recommend the V8 limited grand cherokee's. A great site to find more info between the 1999-2004 model years is wjjeeps.com

We are very pleased with the purchase of our Grand Jeep Cherokee from Premier Auto Group. The staff members were very informative about all aspects of the sale and gave detailed descriptions outside of print. They offered other informative information regarding auto transit. Highly recommend them.

THIS IS MY 2ND GRAND CHEROKEE , MY FIRST A 95. LOVED THE 95 , BUT THE 01 HAS SO MUCH MORE POWER AND CREATURE COMFORTS ! ENGINE IS SMOOTH WITH PLENTY OF PEP FOR AN SUV . I HAVE THE 2 TONE LEATHER INTERIOR AND ITS JUST PLAIN AWESOME !! IT'S MY FAMILY RIDE (WIFE AND 2 KIDS) AND IT'S JUST PLAIN PRACTICAL ( OTHER THAN THE GAS MILEAGE ) . I HAVE THE 4.7 WITH A K&N AIR FILTER AND JET PERFORMANCE MODULE SO IT REQUIRES HIGH TEST ( WORTH IT !!) . IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE ADDED EXPENSE I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT ! IF NOT, AT LEAST INSTALL A K&N REPLACEMENT FILTER ( I HAVE ONE IN MY ENTIRE FLEET, 05 MAZDA 6 , & 03 KAWI NINJA ZX6R, 85 IROC) MY WIFE STOLE MY 95 WHEN WE HAD OUR FIRST KID AND WAS DRIVING A 87 TRANS AM & 95 GRAND PRIX GTP PRIOR AND BEGGED FOR ANOTHER JEEP WHEN THE 95 GOT TIRED !! BE CAREFULL WHEN BUYING ANYTHING USED FOR COLLISION DAMAGE AND POOR UPKEEP. AWESOME AFFORDABLE SUV !!
