What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The vehicle I have been asked to write a review about is an exception to the rule. I have purchased dozens of Jeeps on Ebay. I am a Used Jeep dealer. Most of the vehicles are exactly as described. This one was not. It arrived with an engine that was missing very badly. Turned out to need a valve job. Also the heating and air conditioning was non working. Dozens of burned wires under the dash. Many other issues on this vehicle. It was sold by another dealer who actually omitted these details deliberately. I was needless to say disappointed that any dealer would dump a vehicle on anyone without disclosing major defects such as these. I base that on someone willing to sell his soul for money. Over a period of time I have developed a system for picking up used vehicles I buy on Ebay. 1. Go in person and take a Cashiers Check with you. If it is one your going to fly in and drive back. Be willing to get a ride back to the airport and come home without it if it is not what was advertised. Never put a deposit down on a vehicle you have not seen. If possible go inspect the vehicle before you bid. If that is not feasible then do NOT be afraid to turn down a vehicle that was not as advertised. If the seller misrepresents a vehicle then claims you have to take it because you were the high bidder and has a contract with you. The contract is null and void as the Car was not what was represented in the ad. If the car is as described then you are under a moral and legal agreement to complete the deal. As stated earlier most honorable, reputable people advertise their vehicles honestly. Look at feedback before bidding. It usually gives you a true insight of the sellers intentions. If a lot of negative's for not as described. That should be a red flag to be very wary of doing business with this person. Now anyone can get and leave a negative feedback. The buyer didn't follow through with his deal and he leaves a false negative to the seller even though he didn't even show up to complete the deal. So the seller in turn leaves a negative for the deadbeat bidder. Ebay offers no solution to the feedback system. Even when the seller or buyer can prove the other party is lying about the transaction. A lot of problems arise from people selling vehicles that they still owe money on to banks, credit unions, etc. They want you to pay for the vehicle and wait up to a month to receive the title to the vehicle. 90% of the time it is legitimate. The 10% it is not, could cost you dearly. He takes the money and does not pay off the car. You are stuck with no title and the lender will come after the car as a repossession. You pay for it twice or lose the initial investment. The way to address this is to show up with two Cashiers Checks one for the "Payoff to the Bank made out to them and a Priority mail envelope addressed to the Bank. A letter having them release the title to your address and a power of attorney from the seller to sign the title in his absence. Second Check to the seller for his equity in the car. After inspecting the car, both you and he goes to the Post office and mails the check and letter to bank. He takes his check and releases the car to you. You have what you paid for, He has his money and both of you are assured the vehicle will be paid off and you will get the title. Believe me, it works and saves a lot of grief. If I had not trusted this dealer to deliver what was advertised I wouldn't have been burned this time. Thanks and Happy Ebaying.

i bought this vehicle as described too be in good running condition with no transmission problems. the door was advertised to close hard but just needs adjusted. the photos did not show the key scratch all the way down the side of was it mentioned. the door needs to be replaced because the sheetmetal is completely broken away and unrepairable. the drivers seat has a tear but was advertised as having no tears just dirty. the transmission slips between all gears and the overdrive grinds and bangs all the time. the engine misses horribly and barely idles. this was a big time con job. the complete description of this jeep was grossly misstated, incorrect, and an outright lie. after $1400.00 it will probably be on its way to the junkyard because it is not even worthy to be parted out.
