What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1990 Jeep Cherokee: Jeep purchase via E Bay

I had been looking for a Jeep at a reasonable price to explore the Arizona desert. This vehicle filled that need. Because it had some starting problems and uncertainty about emission testing, I paid well below blue book for it, virtually sight unseen. When I did see it, I was completely satisfied. As described and better. No rust, 113,000 miles, 4 wd, 5 speed transmission. I put a few dollars into it and still am completely satisfied with this purchase. Maybe one of the best I have made on e Bay.

1990 Jeep Cherokee: Mystery problem stymies mechanics

Engine still bogs down and dies after 5 weeks of replacing modules, fuel pumps, timing chain, et. al. Mechanics are whipped. I have seen one of these on the trail that did phenominal things and had high hopes for mine, but so far I have been relegated to watching it go up and down the lift in the shop instead of the hills.

1990 Jeep Cherokee: 1990 JEEP CHEROKEE THE GOOD DEAL?
10/21/08

I just purchased a JEEP Cherokee from a seller that is in our local area. I really thought I was getting a good deal. I asked alot of questions. Does it run great? Would you jump in it and drive 1500 miles the way it is? Is there anything needing repaired I should know about? Well I thought that would cover about all I needed to know BUT the seller was not so honest. The vent window on the passenger side was busted out and had a piece of plexi glass in it's place. The vehicle stalled at every stop. The radio don't play the clock don't work. There is way excessive play in the steering. It shudders at times when just cruising along. There is no radiator fill bottle so there is no way to check the coolant level. The tires and wheels on it are all the wrong size and from a totally different vehicle. Well this is just off the top of my head but to give it justice the motor seems to run real smooth (other than the occational shuddering) and it was fairly dent free.
OK so I guess the lesson here is check the vehicle in person if it is close by before buying and the sellers feedback. My seller has very good feedback which lead me to trust them. I did not make the trip to go see the vehicle as I found it as it was ending soon. I wish I would have passed. I paid 1200. I sunk 65.00 in for a replacement steering column (this I knew about the rest was undisclosed to me) I bought the window, fixed the stalling, washed it inside and out including a full carpet and seat washing. Replace numerous vaccum lines to make it run right and purchased the coolant fill bottle so I could actually keep an eye on the coolant level and fill it if needed (oh and flushed the system out as it had no coolant in it only water and brown at that). I forgot to metion the tint on the windows I had to scrape off, from all 7 windows, it was so scarred and dirty you litterally could not see out the drivers door window. Oh ya and the broke passenger side mirror broken I replace to. It now looks pretty nice and runs fairly well to. I will soon make an investment for the correct tires and wheels from our local salvage yard. I have more in this vehicle now than I ever wanted to have but now I am in deep and will finish it off and hope it last a few years. That's my story and I hope it don't happen to you. So if you can't go check the vehicle your intending to bid on then don't bid as feedback is not a guaranteed indicator and ask all you want, if they lie and don't divulge what they know your just out of luck or you don't pay and get a non paying bidder alert filed against you. I am sure there is a way around that through communications with eBay but why invite the hassle, go check that vehicle first.

I hope this helps you consider before buying a vehicle off of eBay and if it makes you think about it then good. I hope you will rate my experience guide and let others find it to read also. Be careful and have fun.
