1999 Jaguar XJR: Amazing and beautiful luxury car with 370 HP engine
09/07/07
I had been wanting to own a Jaguar XJR for a long time and it took me a long time to do research before I decided to buy the Jaguar XJ series. I finally decided to buy the XJR version which has 4.0L V8 supercharged engine with 370 horsepower. Today I am glad that I decided to buy the burgundy red Jaguar XJR.
The price tag of the car was $84,000 when it was brand new in 1999. I bought it used in 2007 for less than $15,000 and the condition of the car is superb! The engine is still strong and smooth. The brakes system is superb, no squeak, no noise and it stops the car quick.
When you press the gas pedal, the acceleration of the car is extremely fast and strong, it can launch you from 0 to 60 in 5.0 seconds or less. The sound of the V8 supercharged engine will make you smile as you leave the other cars behind you. Even the 1998 to 2003 years old Corvette had to struggle to keep up with you.
The wood trim and high quality eather interior design is beautiful! Not only the front seats have the heated seats feature, the back seat is spacious and have the heated seats feature. The wood trim steering wheel feels great in your hands. The car comes with a moon roof, and I love driving the car with the moon roof open.
The car comes with a Harman Cardon audio system. The sound that comes from this audio system is amazing!
The car service is a little bit expensive, because you can't take it to a local mom and pop repair shops to have the car service. Part are not expensive when you go to Xautogears online auto parts. Xautogears sells the parts almost half of the cost of what the Jaguar dealer will sell them for.
You will know why this XJR cost $84,000 to $102,000 when it was brand new. It is the best experience that I have ever had driving a car, it is comfortable, fast, and a lot of luxury car owners like to glance and look at it as you drive by.
In conclusion, the Jaguar XJR is a great car to buy. If you can buy it used, you will save a lot of money! You can now buy $80,000+ car for a lot less!
