What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

2004 Infiniti G35: Great alternative to the BMW 3 series and Audi A4

• Overall Satisfaction:
I bought a G35 Sedan 6MT new in 2004. The car is great after nearly 3 years of ownership it has been very reliable and a blast to drive. As everyone says the interior ergonomics could be better but the drivetrain is to die for. The Infiniti 3.5 liter V6 has gobs of torque - feels like a good ole American 5 liter V8. The handling is excellent and none of the expensive maintenance headaches of owning a late model European sports sedan. I know I can keep this car well beyond the 4 year/ 60 miles warranty with very low cost of ownership. The gas mileage is around 20 miles per gallon in mostly city driving. The interior room in car is great compared to a 3 series or A4 of similar vintage. What I really like is that the rear doors open almost 90 degrees to the car- making it easy to get my son and daughter in/out of their car seats. I also like the fact that all the windows in the car go all the way down. I would recommend this car to others.

Owner Update: After 39 months of ownership, my wife was driving my G35 with her friend when the Check Engine Light came on and the car began to hesitate and lurch. I was able to drive it to the Infiniti dealership where against my better judgment I let the service advisor talk me into doing the 30K service - which is essentially a "check this and that" plus oil change for $500- ouch. In any event turns out the hesitation was due to a bad cam sensor which was replaced under warranty. Here's where it gets interesting, the dealer calls to inform me the car needs new front brake pads- but wait there is more and new brake rotors. The car has only 27K miles on it. I expected to need brake pads- but who ever heard of replacing your pads and rotors on the first brake service. Last time I checked pads are the wear item not the rotors. Turns out Infiniti agreed (at least initially). They issued a G35 brake memo- wherein they agreed to cover the cost of replacing brake pads and rotors for 2004 and 2005 models for the first 36 months or 30K. Of course, thinking they would extend this offer to me b/c my car had 27K and 39 mos. - I called Infiniti where they told me I was on my own. (This after spending $500 on a glorified oil change). So I took the car to a independent shop that specializes in Honda, Nissan and Infiniti- wherein they informed they could still resurface the rotors within spec. So in the end - I paid about what I would have paid to only change pads at the dealer. Lesson learned - have your G35 brakes inspected every 15K miles to prevent having to replace the rotors. There are no brake pad sensors or mechanical wear indicators.

Great car- not so great manufacturer and dealer support. Definitely not Lexus standards.

I did not know what to expect. My needs had changed, and I was looking for AWD due to the hills and bad weather we have here in Ohio. Having a Nissan 4WD pickup that my Dad is always borrowing, I knew that I did not want an SUV but I did want the bad weather performance of AWD. Just after I bought it we had bad ice and snow here in central ohio, and this car went right up an icy hill. The car will display when it has detected wheel slip, and there is a snow setting where you can set it and just drive.
Further, as far as comfort goes, this is the nicest car I have ever owned. Leather adjustable heated seats, and plenty of room for kids in the back seat. This car seats five. Bose sound system is superb.
I would describe the 3.5 liter engine as quiet power. It has been many years since I have owned a V8 engine car, and I forgot what kind of power you get with that size. This 3.5 V6 is the closest thing I know to that power, with better fuel economy. I have been getting 23 to 24 mpg highway, and about 20 city.
If your needs are anywhere near that of mine, you will like this car.

I appreciate the fact that the car drove effortless from TN to MN (14 hours), without any stops other than for gas. I believe "Sam" the salesman was extremely patient with our questions and persistence in trying to find out everything we could about the car. The title was promptly delivered and reiterated the truthfulness of the salesman in the single owership of the car. It was an enjoyable experience

After looking at M3's and the new BMW 335 Coupe, I decided on the G35 Coupe. The cost of the cars vs the G are enough to change your decision. The people that own BMW's have told me that unless you like spending gobs of money on maintenance, don't buy a Bemmer. I ended up buying mine from a BMW dealer, it was a one owner with 13K miles, all options minus NAV.

I enjoy the size of the car and the ability to carry addtional passengers if the need arrises. The gas milage is around 19 in town, I'm getting ready to go on a 1K round trip vacation so we'll see what I get on the road. Even though the car has 14K miles now, the tire man said I need to look into some new meats around the 20K time frame. Another person at work has a 350Z and has the same size tires front and back, need to look into doing the same even though the wheels are different width/offsets if could save you some money.

Along the lines of tires, the Micheline Pilots provide an excessive amount of noise. It's incredible, I'm not sure I've had so much noise from any other vehicle other than a 4X$ truck! I'm trying to look into replacement tread but reading the reviews on the Tire Rack doesn't help much.

I'm about 6'1" and I find the placement of the shifter a bit too far back for me, I'd like it relocated about 2 inches forward. The brakes are great (Brembo) and the interior is nice. My biggest complaint about the whole car is the irritating traction control. If you'd like to have a little spirited driving, it's best to turn it off ahead of time, or rounding a corner it'll come on at the worst time. So, it's best just to turn it off when you enter the car if it's dry out. Like to find something that would reprogram it so it's turned off when you start it.

Overall, nice car, and I'd buy another one, possibly the G37, but it'd be anther 6sp, I don't like anything I've read about the automatics and they're still behind the times with a 5 speed, should be at least a 6 speed.

This was a great deal! We have loved this car. It also has some great features. My 3 year old calls it "Mom's Race Car". It is stylish and suprisingly fairly easy to get kids in and out the back!!

I test drove; 05 Acura TL, 03 Acura TL Type S, Lexus ES330, 00-04 Nissan Maxima, Accord, and Camry.
The TL Type S was close in Performance and Handling but didn't look as good. No Other car in the G35s class and price range came close. The Lexus had the best stereo with the Mark Levinson, But Bose is alright. I drove a G35 with a manual transmission that was way fun to drive, but my wife is getting tired of a stick in traffic. I would like Cooled seats in this car, but they aren't available. Ours does not have the navigation system, which I would have liked. Has Dual Climate Control, Which keeps Me and the Wife from fighting over the temperature. Has an excellent history of Reliability. We replaced a 95 Nissan Maxima SE with 5-speed manual transmission and 160,000 miles which we really liked. This car should hold it's value relatively well. The power seat controls are by the center console which is a little annoying, and the buttons look all the same. The Traction control seems to work well, Haven't had any snow yet to make use of the all wheel drive, but I bet it drives great. Looks great, Feels great, Friends are jealous.

looked at many smaller performance cars, nissan, porsche, mazda, honda, pontiac, and decided on the G35 because of its good reputation for reliablity and the fact it has a back seat, albeit a small one. car handles great, has reasonably good performance, very comfortable interior and all the right options. i would recommend the car for those wantng some sporty performance, nice looks, a back seat and reliability.

Very fast car. I purchased this car for my daughter, not knowing how fast it really was. You have to be very careful in this car as it will get away from you in a corner.

Very fun to drive!!!
